Happy Saturday! I hope you all are enjoying your weekend!!!! Let me know what your deep conditioning hacks are for the days that you need extra moisture!!!!!!
I sometime put a bit on oil in them. I usually either steam or use bonnet Hood Hair Dryer Attachment to my blow dry and sit under it for 20-30 minutes. I have low porosity so I need some heat for deep conditionner to penetrate.
Please consider trying some product lines from the Maine Choice for Fall/Winter demos and reviews. The shampoo that you reviewed is wonderful and I heard that most of their lines are super moisturizing. Kyria Botanicals also has a product line for low porosity hair that I would love for you to review also.
Kelli Johnson So good to know. I too have low porosity. It’s definitely a challenge retaining moisture. Thanks for sharing, I will be trying products you mentioned. Kinky tresses is a good one as well!😀
I have to refresh everyday. Why is that? I spray with water every morning and add some more creme styler. I heard you say something about not having to refresh as often. How can I go about not having to refresh every day?
my daughter have the exact same hair type, she is 11 years old i want to thank you because i use your videos to help me manage her hair. i just ordered the ID deep moisturizer to try it out and get her hair looking nice for school.
What a great tip about treating the different sections of your hair according to what it needs! The front section of my hair is finer and more low porosity than the rest of my hair, so I take extra care in working products into this section. But I never thought of using different products on this section. Thank you Iyda! My summer has been pretty good so far, but the air is usually so humid in Chicago during the summer, so I can't do all of the styles I'd like to do and I have to put all my products that contain glycerin aside until the fall. 😞
I am medium porosity and i use a medium to light (runny texture) leave in and coat my strands with shea butter for wash and gos and it stops humidity destroying my hair. I do have coarse strands though. Maybe using a thick oil or a light butter with styles can try to defeat humidity because oil repels water (humidity) if it's not too much for your hair.
Another awesome video! You are the only low porosity, coarse haired, RUclipsr that I follow consistently. All the others say they are Lopo but continually use products with a lot of proteins, coconut oil, aloe, flax seed and terrible ingredients for our hair type. Everything you suggest, my hair loves. Thanks so much!
THIS IS SO TRUE. almost everytime i open a video with a low po girl their hair product choice is awful and im like bruhh, let me get back to iyda at least she does things in a purposeful way !!!!! smh
I can always relate to your hair experience. The front of my hair tends to be straight like yours. So glad I’ve found a hair vlogger that Shares my hair type!
Very nice video @Iyda Michael and I love your hair. Just a word of caution: Leaving Deep Conditioners on your hair for longer than it recommends on the instructions can cause damage to your hair. Another You Tuber was doing this and after a period of time, she started having issues with her hair (I cannot recall her name, but will let you know if I can find her). I agree that doing the baggy method and allowing your hair to stay wet too long also causes moisture overload. The other thing is all of our hair is different and what works for one person like yourself may not work for someone like me who already has very soft, thin, fine, curly/coily, 3C/4A hair. I have never used the Textured ID conditioners before but will try them. Again, if this works for you great, however, after being natural for almost 11 years, I have learned the hard way to follow the instructions to the tee on hair products, otherwise, I end up having to cut my hair off and after 4 big chops, I want to keep my length and continue to grow healthy, strong and long hair. Thank you for sharing and you have flawless skin. Would love to see your skin care routine day and night time. Blessings.💖💖💖
I have always been so scared to leave conditioner on overnight. I totally understand the taking the baggy off and then letting it dry and then putting a scarf on and then going to bed. Moisture is the problem I struggle with, with my type 4 hair. I will definitely be trying your method. Thanks for sharing!
I have keratin treated hair and sadly it’s thinning out a bit. Just want to say you’re very beautiful. If I ever do a big chop, I’ll come back to watch these.
OMG! Wow! I've got to try this! Your the only person, I find our hair is quite similar... Because my hair is looser at the front aswell... This is shocking! I've tried texture ID but not like this... And I'm not able get it though... 🇬🇧 I travelled to the USA before that's how I got to use it
I have a twa so it’s hard to even attempt to put my hair into sections, but it has grown a lot since I’ve been getting tips from you and other low porosity RUclipsr’s. But that was and amazing tip because the top, sides, and back if my head are all different textures lol. Also, I’m afraid to try anything with protein even small amounts of protein 😖. My hair was improved tremendously and I do know that protein is needed to a certain extent so hydro- proteins are okay for low porosity hair? Oh and can you tell me where you got your headwrap/scarf
Hey Iyda I never used texture ID deep conditioner but I use their cream for twist outs. I should try it, my hair is low porosity too. Please share where you got that scarf.
Hi I watch your videos often , I appreciate them , but I wanted to ask you is that when you apply the protein conditioner straight on that small section and leave it overnight it doesn’t hurt your hair for leaving it soooo long on the hair. It doesn’t make it stiff and hard. I’m transitioning to natural , and I’m protein sensitive and my hair is so tangled with the two textures and hard from protein shampoos or conditioners. So I don’t know how you can leave it on for so long. 😢
Hi! I was wondering right after I use my leave in conditioner after a wash, how long do i wait until i can use this product? And also can I use a plastic bag to cover my hair?
Did you buy the Texture ID product in Canada? The one on amazon.com has shipping + import fees 😬. Couldn’t find it on amazon.ca 😭. I’m also wondering if it would work on more medium textured hair that is low porosity/protein sensitive. 🤔
As a cosmetologist I can promise you that all you need is to leave dc in your hair for the amount of time says on the product which 9 times out of 10 only goes up to 30 minutes. Any more than that and you're just wasting time and effort

Random question. Are you Eritrean?

Esmanuel Vargas it's wonderful that you're learning how to care for your daughter's hair! Your daughter is very blessed!
That's amazing to hear! So happy that I could help! :)

Kelli Johnson thank you! Yes I noticed there aren’t a lot on RUclips, they all have fine textured hair!

Same... And great tip about treating different parts of your hair according to it's needs

thank you so much for giving tips to those who don’t have hooded dryers🥺🥰 I always felt kind lost during this part of my routine😭

Nikki J _23 yes this is the only way I can do a deep condition over night or else I will get moisture overload! Try it and let me know !
Iyda Michael I sure will question for you. How often do you do this method? You don’t do this every week do you?
Wow I'm deep conditioning on my low porosity hair with this same product now!
I did this on my mixed texture hair (4a,4b,4c). And girlll can we talk about moisture. Things you did, that 👍🏾🤎
can you do a video showing the length progress on your hair and how far it goes, sending you love from Norway 😘
Yes I will, great idea! thanks! Love you too :)
OMG I love there leave in conditioner. I'm going to try the masque next week.
I have keratin treated hair and sadly it’s thinning out a bit. Just want to say you’re very beautiful. If I ever do a big chop, I’ll come back to watch these.
OMG! Wow! I've got to try this!

I travelled to the USA before that's how I got to use it
My hair texture, porosity and curl pattern is so similar to yours - i'm definitely going to try this thankyou!
.... This is seriously the 1st time I finally found someone who has the same type of hair as me.... Finally..
I have a twa so it’s hard to even attempt to put my hair into sections, but it has grown a lot since I’ve been getting tips from you and other low porosity RUclipsr’s. Oh and can you tell me where you got your headwrap/scarf
Should I detangle my hair before putting on deep conditioner? Or should detangle at the same moment I'm putting on the deep conditioner?
Because usually I put deep conditioner on my wash days
Thanks! The left side of my hair is exactly like yours. I will try more protein in the front section.
the texture of the Texture ID dc kinda reminds me of the SheaMoisture Manuka Honey one
Hey Iyda I never used texture ID deep conditioner but I use their cream for twist outs. I should try it, my hair is low porosity too. Please share where you got that scarf.
Wow thank you gorgeous, it’s winter time for me right now I needed some guidance so I turned to your channel.
Have you every used the Texture ID curl creme? If so how do you like it? I love the mask !!
Amazing video. Quick question. We have the same texture hair so what is your favorite shampoo and conditioner? As well oil to use?
just write " iyda michael shampoo " or "iyda michael conditioner" and you will find her videos with the answer to your question :) yw
Must try this next week.
Thank you so much for the video
Hi I watch your videos often , I appreciate them , but I wanted to ask you is that when you apply the protein conditioner straight on that small section and leave it overnight it doesn’t hurt your hair for leaving it soooo long on the hair. It doesn’t make it stiff and hard. I’m transitioning to natural , and I’m protein sensitive and my hair is so tangled with the two textures and hard from protein shampoos or conditioners. So I don’t know how you can leave it on for so long. 😢
Mrs Daws if I use a really light protein treatment overnight like the aphohee 2 min it doesn’t hurt my hair!
So pretty look like keri hillson great video very helpful!
Hi! I was wondering right after I use my leave in conditioner after a wash, how long do i wait until i can use this product? And also can I use a plastic bag to cover my hair?
I have thin fine hair texture should I use protein base conditioner more often
What’s your hair texture? I think we have the same hair and I don’t really know how to take care of it😬
Do you put deep conditioner on dry hair or wet hair?
We legit have the same exact hair type
Sally Beauty has a sale on all conditioners and treatments, buy 1 get 1 50% off

Where did you find that deep conditioner?
Hi One question
Is this ID product protein Free?
Did you buy the Texture ID product in Canada? The one on amazon.com has shipping + import fees 😬. Couldn’t find it on amazon.ca 😭. I’m also wondering if it would work on more medium textured hair that is low porosity/protein sensitive. 🤔
You could find it your local Sally's beauty supply store! And yes it will definitely work!
Iyda Michael Thank you! ❤️

Ayana Fequiere does sitting under the dryer help the dc penetrate your hair or is that not a thing?
Excellent video

So o was to quick to ask she addressed this
your deep conditioning your hair on on damp ,wet hair? I think that my hair don't take the moisture when my hair is soaking wet
