    Hey guys! I hope you are all doing well and enjoy the video! Leave any tips you have on moisturizing low porosity hair! ****Also, I wanted to mention that I noticed after I uploaded the video that I held up the Camille Rose Deep Conditioner instead of the Camille Rose Almond Jai Twisting Butter! I apologize for the inconvenience and I have all the products listed in the description box! :) Love and blessings to you!

When you showed the baggy method in this video, did you already have leave-in conditioner on your hair or were you just demonstrating what the baggy method looks like before you started the moisturizing process? • @KLB1218
      @KLB1218 3 года назад +1

      If you want healthy hair, I’d advise not to use any heat. Even if it’s low heat. Deep conditioning weekly as a new natural is important. Then using protective styles like simple twist or cornrows for a few months will help with thickness or length retention

      this article should help - science-yhairblog.blogspot.com/2013/06/oils-which-ones-soak-in-vs-coat-hair.html but also, there are many low porosity ppl who don't use oils. you can just use a leave in and a cream. i alternate between leave in and a gel vs leave in and shea butter but i also live in a hot, humid climate and the shea butter helps repel the humidity.

    Trying to understand the logic of using both leave in conditioner and cream. But thanks for the info.

    • @katinablanford2743
      @katinablanford2743 4 года назад +4

      Your leave in conditioner is the base or foundation for applying your other hair products whether it be your butters or your creams and gels etc..The leave in conditioners purpose is to provide a layer of moisture as well as make your hair pliable,softer and also a lot of leave in cond.has detangling properties as well.

    • @IydaChristopher
      @IydaChristopher  4 года назад

      The layers provide longer lasting moisture compared to when you use one in some cases

      @@JustHere_4 you are right! When I first went natural, I could only use 2 products or else I would always get product buildup, but overtime, my hair has become a little more porous and has allowed me to take up a little more product but I have to be light handed still. :) thanks for sharing lovely.

    Do you use regular conditioner along with a deep conditioner every week?

    • @IydaChristopher
      @IydaChristopher  4 года назад +4

      I alternate between a deep conditioner and a light protein treatment every week after I wash my hair and then I follow this LCO method. I skip a rinse out conditioner!

    CORRECTION- NOT ALL OILS ARE SEALENTS. The oils you mentioned are in fact sealents but oils such as oil and coconut ARE in fact MOISTURIZERS. They penatrate into the hair shaft instead on just laying on top.
