This is true. I’m a cosmetologist, considering your cuticle is freshly opened with shampoo, and conditioners of any sort close the cuticle, whichever you put on your hair first is what your cuticle is going to take in the most/what will begin closing the cuticle making it harder for the next product to be fully absorbed

I love to deep condition my hair and my daughter's hair once a week but I have yet to buy a $36 hair mask. I'll pass on that one because there are so many great deep conditioners out there that are reasonably priced. Me and my daughter have a lot of hair (we are both only a few inches away from waist length) so we go through deep conditioners like crazy. My favorite ones are Shea Moisture the Raw Shea butter, the Jamaican Black Castor oil and the Manuka Honey and Mafura oil line. They are so bomb. Now another great find that is even less expensive is Garnier Whole Blends Avocado oil and Shea butter mask. When I tell you my hair be so soft and moisturized after using these products...love them ❤️

I see so many people with straight hair and complain how it's frizzy and don't know what to do with it. So I always try to encourage those.

Be careful where you get your Moringa . A lot of it is brought in from foreign countries, and NOT good quality. You can also grow it, which I do. I just don't grow enough to last a year, so I buy from EL GEE Naturals, when I run out of mine. I use 2 tsp per day. Sometimes you can get seeds from EL GEE. 321-405-9188. Go on RUclips and learn all about Moringa. God bless you.

Looooooooove the Maui deep conditioner. I've tried three of the four my local Walgreens carries (the vanilla bean is always sold out). I've mostly using the bamboo fiber one to help strengthen my hair, and so far it's working!! I have to get on the Deva Curl deep conditioner. I know I've been sleeping on them.

Ange N.O. The Vanilla bean hair butter was my favorite! It was the first hair product (that isn’t shampoo and conditioner) that I’ve completely used up and repurchased backups of. I know it’s a hair butter but I used it as a mask and loved it. I went through two already.

Bianca! Thank you so much for these videos! I've lived my whole life using just a gigantic detangling paddle brush and oil. I finally broke down and splurged on a bunch of DevaCurl products, and quickly learned about the surrounding controversy around them (starting with your video about). Since I already bought them, I tried them out for a few weeks, but it definitely made my scalp dry and itchy and gave me mega amounts of dandruff. But I started watching your other videos and have been learning about porosity and curl patterns. More than I've ever learned in my 29 years!
Thanks to you I found curly girl on reddit, and made a shopping trip to get some new products. I was overwhelmed by the amount of products and I wasn't sure what the difference between the leave-in conditioner and the masque was, and so this video was really helpful. Last night was the first night in my life that I brushed my hair in sections! It took 2 hours, but I finger twirled it and wrapped it in my silk pillowcase and the next morning I was blown away by the immediately noticeable difference.
Thank you so much. I can't thank you enough for posting these videos, and helping me with my corona glow up. Here's to being today years old when I finally learned how to take care of my curly hair.

I feel like me and my hair are friends one day and enemies the next 😞, but I feel so confused as well- I’ve gotten a hair mask for the first time and I really wanna use it..problem is that I’m not sure if I have to use it on the day I wash my hair or if I could use it 3 days after...☹️ if someone can help me please do :)
Also I’m sorry if something like this comment was explained in the video! I may have just missed it.

I remember originally watching this video and laughing at the face you made when smelling DevaCurl’s melt into moisture. MONTHS and MONTHS ago we spoke and I bought the Curls Blueberry Bliss and love it! I then used your code for the hothead heated flax seed cover! Now I’ve bought the melt into moisture after sampling it, and got THE BEST RESULTS YET, from a moisturizing/hydrating deep conditioner. I also bought the protein one but don’t use it too often for obvious reasons. :) thanks so much for all the help through the past year. You’ve really helped me understand my nature curl!

I tried the DevaCurl Melt Into Moisture yesterday with my Hot Head cap and I must say I love them! The DevaCurl Melt into moisture, added much needed moisture to my hair. :) The thermal hot head cap felt nice with my moisturizer. I haven’t used any kind of heat on my hair in 17 months, so it was nice to use “safe heat” with my amazing moisturizer. I love your videos!

Deep conditioners are something I never run out of, They are essential to healthy hair, relaxed or natural. It's a part of my weekly regimen, when I don't do it I feel so guilty! Most days I use my steamer but when I feel lazy the Hot Head cap is a great alternative. Great info as usual.

I use masks from the Garnier Whole Blends line. It does contain silicone, but I don't mind. I'm not silicone-free or sulfate free either. It is a great line that is *often*, very often overlooked in the drug store!

I like to do the deep conditioner before I wash my hair. I add a conditioner (I've never used an actual mask before, just random conditioners I have lying around) and apply it usually to dry or slightly dank hair, then leave it in for twenty minutes, then shampoo and condition as usual

Hi Bianca!! The ten in 1 shea moisture mask can be a issue I found that when I used it once a week it actually made my hair worse. When I looked into it I realized that some of the first ingredients were protein which used in excess or off hair doesn't need it it can hurt ur hair more then help. So I just wanted to throw that out there! Love you!!!

I just did the mask last night because my hair was feeling really dull, kinda dry and frizzy, it does this every year around this time.... (I have 3b/3c curls and I use Pattern Beauty conditioner and no shampoo).
I left it on for 2 hours... one hour with just a plastic bag and the last hour with the bag and a towel to hold the warmth in. My hair is so silky and shiny! Thanks for posting this, I'll definitely be using your recipe again. :D

I am sooo happy that I watched your videos on hair masque. Before watching your videos I never knew about hair masque or what they do 🤦🏽‍♀️ but it’s ok now because I know thanks to you ❤️ I used to just put anything in my hair not knowing if it’s bad or good but I decided to change my mind and I wanted healthy hair so I stopped straightening my hair and my husband is very supportive of me going through this hair journey and he even buys me curly hair products and yes I check to see if it’s curly girl friendly. There were times when I wanted to quit but by watching your videos I knew I could do it and now my hair is getting better my curls are looking healthy I have naturally curly hair and I will never take advantage of just putting anything in my hair again. I just want to say thank you for making soooo many videos on Curly hair I know a lot of people watch your videos and you helped someone fixed or changed their hair and I’m happy to say I’m one of those girls 🥰🥰🥰

Look into protein and moisture balance and make sure you use it as a guide or your hair could break off

    • @juhiberi
      @juhiberi 6 лет назад +3

Protein masks should not be done twice a week. A second mask then should be a hydrating one. Protein masks can make the hair break if used excessively and too often. I will locate this one person’s link who explained it beautifully who uses Moroccanoil hair restructuring and hydrating masks.
