The three car seats that fit across in the backseat are Diono. I only use these form older children who are forward facing and they still use the 5 point harness seatbelt. Be sure to check your car seat manual to see if the latch system can work in the middle seat. Most don't, but the Diono (the ones I have) latch system does support the middle seat.
Always read your car seat manual before installing.
For my one year old who is rear facing I use the Maxi Cosi. For the newborn I use a Graco infant car seat. This clicks in and the actual car seat was not shown in the video, just the base was.
What do you do in week 38 of pregnancy to prepare for baby? Or are you a lucky one who has baby around then?? I am currently 40 weeks and 4 days and have yet to have a baby come before the 41 week mark

I was with my sister in law when she gave birth to her 3rd baby.
She literally pushed it out, then a minute later sighed and said “I can’t wait to do all that again.”
I was like, “Lady… were you not HERE the last few hours? You made noises I didn’t even know human beings were capable of making!! And you’re excited to do that AGAIN?!!”
(They’ve had 3 more kids since then 😂)
No lie, when my oldest was 3 months old, my friends were having their first babies and I wanted to do it all again. God heard me and I had my first 2 children 14 months apart.
I had 4 kids in 5 years, then a 5 year gap, and now an almost 1 year old. When I was pregnant my husband and I discussed another baby after this one, specifically so she wouldn't feel alone when the bigger kids grow up and leave.
It happens. Especially if the woman is blessed with easy pregnancies (I have been), it's not too hard to think about doing it again. 😝
@@s_rofbear Yes! Same here. The nurse looked at me crazy and said, "Something is very wrong with you, but since you got that baby out in one push, I can see why you'd feel that way...maybe." Lol
I talked about it after I gave birth to my second a month ago. We were at the hospital still and I told my husband I want another one. He looked at me like I was crazy 😂

We just gave birth to baby number 5. The amount of musical chairs we played in our SUV was wild. We finally figured out how to get 1 remaining open seat in the front row with 3 total rear facing carseats lol.
We also added a minivan to the family car line up for longer trips and more comfort. The new van is leaps and bounds better than the SUV we gave up.
I have 5 babies and am finally thinking about getting a minivan for the first time in my life. Never sounded appealing before, but that space you get sounds sooo nice now!
And now that seat will be filled ❤

Careful about putting the car seat in too soon. God forbid you get into even a minor car accident or fender bender before giving birth, but after any accident a car seat is no longer considered safe to use, even if theres 0 visable harm to the seat. You don't want to "ruin" your new car seat before you even get the chance to use it, so install it before going to the hospital ideally
Yeah but the likelihood of getting in the accident and voiding the warranty of the car seat is less likely to happen in the next 3ish weeks than her going into labor and actually needing it at this point.
I'm 37 weeks, 2 days with my first, and we REALLY need to install that car seat that's been in my trunk for three weeks, lol.
Hospital won't let you leave with your baby without it!
@@funnyclips720 Ha, I know. I didn't have the kind with a detachable seat at the time, so they wheeled me put in a chair while I held her and watched/helped me get her into the seat once my mom brought the car around. (My sweet girl is now almost 9 months old, and thriving.)
I am so happy that you guys are happy about your babies. I honestly cant think of anything more unappealing to me. I am happy with my one kid and maybe a second one but 5? Back to back? absolutely not!!!! But it's fantastic that you guys are handling well and getting prepper

My mom who had 4 kids also drove a suburban. She loved all the space and felt that if she got into a crash with another car she and we would all be safe because of how huge that car was.
I know these videos are supposed ot be like positive and stuff but they keep making me want to have babys less than before. I dont even want to have babys. 😭
I would be putting BABY ON BOARD! signs on every single window maybe even a large neon light flashing on top of ur car so no one gets close enough to hit ur car wit all those babies in there i would be so nervous driving around with all them cuz some ppl jus dont kno how to drive anymore lol
Having a kid in the car doesn't deter anyone from road rage. There's multiple stories from this past year of kids and pregnant women being shot in road rage incidents unfortunately
The baby on board signs are mainly for paramedics in the scene of an accident , and technically shouldn't be used when the child isn't in the car!
I'm 31 wks with my 6th, my rainbow baby. I drive an Armada and we fit nicely in it! I need to get a car seat though, thanks for reminding me!!

Diono is pretty slim it's what we use (also a mom of five)! So are clek carseats but they are super pricey.
Check out the graco slimfit 3 lx. They just came out a year ago. The dionos have not received good scores from 3rd party crash tests. That’s what we ended up doing.

Its great if you have a car. We just have to carry our car seat around and the suitcase, and all my medical paperwork and ourselves. Its great if you got the money, but we definitely don't:(

6 kiddos in carseats will mean you might not be able to have a carrier carseat. Don't quote me on that. I have 6 in carseats and haven't had a carry carseat since #2 (we kind of anticipated #3 and didn'twant to get another carseata year later...) because of space in the vehicle for groceries and such.
I drive a traverse, so I think we'd be topped out at 5 kids and we're pregnant with number one now and we're having a girl, but we're gonna keep trying until we get a boy!

Ooh have fun when you get pregnant with baby #6 and car seat. Best to go up to the transit 12 passenger or something but we’re making the 8 Honda odyssey passenger work since I have 3/6 out of car seats. It’s tight though! (This was the most stressful to me this time around trying to figure out seating arrangements!) well actually don’t worry about it, enjoy your precious family ❤️

I started going into pre labor with my first at 36 weeks - lasting till 39w6d; was 4cm dialeted when i got to the hospital to be induced 😪
2nd, went into pre-labor at 35w lasting till 39w2d. 4cm dilated when i got to the hospital
3rd, went into pre-labor at 34w lasting will 39w4d, was 5-6 cm dilated when i got to the hospital... Hah 😅

I gave birth at 37 weeks naturally I was just lucky I prepared a week before but now I have to prepare slowly. Because I don't want to do it all in one haul. I cleared out closests in one go and I almost kept going as I was tired glad I didn't keep going. I'm taking care of two other babies so I'll be more tired.. Edit forgot to mention pregnant again so I'm nesting again lol. We don't know when baby coming so I hope all is ready the month before due date although could be here a month early too. We never know

Our car was so small in the back for 3 carseats across so we put three in the middle and the two oldest crawled over the back seat to get to their carseats😆 With 6 in carseats, we now have a 12 passenger van.😅
You can tell you have 3 kids under 5 when you roll out with the diono. Only car seat that allows you to get 3 across in most vehicles

She mentioned the car seat above starts with D but someone mention another brand that has better. Rash ratings. The bonus of this car seat is it is slim. Her vehicle is the suburban 3 row model. I think I saw one priced the other day all bells and whistles for $102,000 maybe find one with the warranty still on it. The Escalade that compares to it is around $145,000 all bells and whistles.

I always wanted like 4-5 kids then I saw one RUclips mom with four kids saying how hard it was to find a vehicle that can tow their camper and fit all of them. That’s when I realized it may complicate things a bit! 😂 now, I’m always interested how bigger families like this fit in their cars, take vacations, and go out to restaurants lmao 😂
You just do it 🤷🏾♀️🤷🏾♀️ when we eat out, we leave the kiddos at home lol. However during the summer we eat out more/ travel. We eat out during the weekdays (earlier im the day like 6) and weekends we do take out. Getting a large table during peak times is a nightmare, so all in all you learn from trial and error. We book hotels that have double beds and a sofa for travel. Its honestly not as hard as people think. My questions be how people with large families make it to Disney Land and other theme parks and fly... those are the real victories lol

I'm confused. I thought your partner was putting in the newborn seat in the far left. Is what's in the middle just a frame for the newborn seat? And the 4th child's seat got moved to the middle left?
If you have another baby you won't be able to sit in the back.
The rear facing carseat is for any child under 40lbs and 49 inches, the "frame" is a case for an infant carseat. The three carseats in the third row are for forward facing harnessed children.

I am a few weeks pregnant with #3 and have to start thinking of upgrading to a car with more seating. I’ve never really liked minivans but need the space so I haven’t shot down the possibility yet.
@@rawrnkitty minivans are absolutely safe-but stay away from the Chrysler town & country/dodge grand caravan because they have many issues with seatbelt fit and trying to properly fit more than 3 backseat passengers. A page (on other SM) called Safe In The Seat has amazing information from a car seat technician.
