  • There are a lot of sites that will conduct all background checks for you in one click of a button, searching databases like the sex offender registry, criminal records, court records, and so on. Lots of people ask me what paid background check service I'd recommend.
In this episode, we talk about a recent live demonstration we did, putting paid services to the test. Are they worth it? Should we pay for them? Are there free services out there? Or should we do our own research? We break ALL of this down in this episode.

A resource that you may not be aware of is newspaper microfilm. I do World War Two research and a primary source is the original newspaper articles from that era. University libraries have old copies of local papers on microfilm which you can view. Some newspapers don't have a strong digital library of back articles. If there is microfilm and you learn how to peruse papers, you can get copies of the original articles and print them out.

i saw the best 75¢ i ever spent is to read the police plotter in the newspaper , i feel that more and more clergy should background check their members , a local baptist church allowed a registered sex offender in their church as a member because their deacon ( who has criminal record for a felony ) told the preacher to allow the sex offender to join , i personally applied to volunteer in a church i was background checked and pass ,but some churches wont do it ..

Why does church allow it? Victims pay the price.
