I find a cool process with stems (and also a time saver, especially if you're doing manual chops) is to chop the original sample and THEN create the stems, that way each stemmed sample will have all those chops in place ready to be processed into programs/tracks.
For me personally it's the best. I can do everything on the pc but that became boring and the mpc is so easy. I love it. No matter what version software. I have the key61.
