    Life cleric 1 is an amazing dip for the Disciple of Life feature [especially for divine soul sorcerer with Aura of Vitality and extended spell]. RAW it triggers every time you use a leveled spell to heal someone. So every instance of Aura of Vitality [thanks Tasha's], Regenerate, even Vampiric Touch and Enervation. With a feat like Adept of the Black Robes you could go nuclear with Enervation or Vampiric Touch to deal more damage [and subsequently heal for half this added damage]. Quicken cast the spell, then action retrigger and th Fighter 2 to action surge retrigger the spell for 3 instances in a turn.
    Optional Heavy Armor Master + extended spell rejuvenate could negate a ton of damage at higher level
    A [Celestial?] chain pact warlock 3+ dip can be good for maximized self healing with the Gift of the Ever Living Ones deserves mention too. Can also throw up Tomb of Levistus to preserve your HP if you are about to be wrecked as well.

      a 3rd level thief rogue can use the fast hands feature to use an object as a bonus action. the healer kit lets you stabilize a downed target. the healer feat lets you also heal them when using a healer's kit. none of this is technically spells or even magic.

    Fun fact, a 3 level dip into Warlock really isnt bad for the sorcerer build.
    Ignoring coffeelock shinanigans, having a way to restore slots and sorcery points on every short rest is always good, especially since its just 4 points per rest, essentially a free quickened spell per slot if converted to points.
    Level 3 also gives access to familiars, which let the Sprite *shine* in the support role. The sprite going invisible means they can fly to an ally so you can cure wounds them without provoking any attention to the familiar, and worst comes to worst, the sprite can use its bow to knock enemies out with its poison (assuming you have Investment invocation to do so reliably)
    Finally, it gives access to some celestial warlock. While not the most potent healing by itself, you can still use both its healing light AND an action spell to heal in the same turn for a full turn of getting someone up

    I real love playing the support character in campaigns because it really feels good to be in the mindset that what you do can really save party members in combat or role play sections. I’ve played every class in D&D at least once now, but not all of them in full fledge campaigns. This is a great video and I called it that the Twilight Cleric and the Shepherd Druid were actually among the best healers in the game because the abilities they have are straight up insane and game breaking.

  • @sleepy-fc6rf
    @sleepy-fc6rf 7 дней назад +1

    My Druid used to be Circle of the Shepherd and I loved the Spirit Totem ability so much.
    Then the game updated to the 2024 edition and our DM made me switch off because I guess CoS hadn’t updated.
    Circle of the Sea is cool and makes sense for my character being a Water Genasi, but I really do miss Circle of the Shepherd.

    a good one for long campaigns is Life cleric 1/Lore bard 10-X/Divine sorcerer 3-X, pick aura of vitality with magical secrets and if you DM allows the free feat at lvl 1 (or four, it stills good at that level) pick magic initiate druid and choose goodberry as your spell. Then pick Sanctuary as one of your cleric spells, and shield as one of your sorcerer spells (Just to be sure); As a second feat pick war caster/resilent. Congrats, you now are healing your party non-stop while it's almost impossible to hit you, and you can still do damage using your magical secrets if needed.
    Obviously pick heavy armor with a shield and max CHA.

    I made Halfling of hospitality Life Cleric/Celestial Warlock combo
    1 lv life - 3 lv celestal - rest life cleric.
    Combo:
    Summon imp and give them high level Goodberry to user on its round . A lv5 good berry is 1+2+5=8 heal for an imp every round.
    Celestial warlock at lw 3 has 4d6 to use as a range healing.
    Eldritch blast with agonizing and Chain invocation so the heals on you are always maxed.
    Combo EB + Mass healing word+ Imp heal , OR Mass cure wounds + Celestial healing + imp
    Add fey touched so you have silvery barbs reaction and you have a good support character with some decent damage.

  • @robertsilvermyst7325
    @robertsilvermyst7325 6 месяцев назад +1

    I play as a Shepherd Druid with a 1 level dip of life cleric and using a moon sickle. With unicorn spirit granting AoE healing on top of my single target healing, I have been able to easily keep my allies up and healthy. Especially when I craft scrolls of healing word so I can save my spell slots for control, buff and damage.

  • @sergeorley3327
    @sergeorley3327 3 месяца назад

    if you have access to silvery barbs from strixhaven, my best healer take:
    Warlock (any patron) 2 level dip/ order cleric X :with fey touched feat at any point to get silvery barb spell. Primary SAG 16, CHA 14 for multiclassing and acceptable eldritch blast output, DEX 14 CON 14 for ultimate resilience. For both eldritch invocations, I'd say devil vision and agonizing blast but take whatever you feel. You have one misty step/day so take acrobatics regardless, whatever skill you want for the rest. At level 4, "Aid' spell is a must have and take most of the buffing/restoring spells that synergize greatly with voice of authority for bonus actions.
    Effects: At your turn1 : benediction, if possible upcasted to affect more people
    Every other turn: healing word bonus action, giving an ally 1 free attack as reaction + 1eldritch blast with agonizing blast for mod CHA as damage bonus). Don't hesitate to upcats healing word because you want to keep your level 1 slots for sylvery barbs every turn, even if the opponents don't roll a critical.
    On ennemy's turn: silvery barb on one foe attacking, making probably him fail, and giving 1free attack with advantage to an ally as reaction (the rogue for a second sneak attack out of his turn?)
    Synthesis: on each complete turn, you small heal once, you eldritch blast once, and two allies get a phycical (melee or range, and one with advantage) attack by using their reactions. You're note healing the most but your combined dps is insane while healing. Also incredible saves, decent HP and initiative and very good social stats.
    Weaknesses: not good if very few party members use physical weapons, if they have very poor builds with low dps. Bless prevents you from using fun spells. Your turns are boring when there is no ally to heal (basically you eldritch blast once and pass, waiting for your team to have the fun and yawning a bit).
    Never take a third warlock level: remember all you want is more spell slots (whatever their level). However, feel free to experiment other races if you can handle to wait silvery barbs until level 4 or begin the campain at those levels.

    You're underestimating Life Cleric with a Goodberry (feat or multiclass) which will give 40 points of healing cast the night before a long rest, and then another 40 hit points of goodberry after waking up.

    • @boangherrazvan3977
      @boangherrazvan3977 24 дня назад

      with the new rules just add a mark of hospitality halfling.for goodberry.
      5 lw life cleric - 3 lw celestial warlock
      You can do 4 healings per round
      Use goodberry with invisible imp to heal team
      Use aura of vitality and now in 2024 it does not require a bonus action to cast again.
      User mass healing word , healing word, or celestial dice for bonus action heal
      Use cure wounds for action heal or just attack with EB
      Also most healing spells now are stronger CW -2d8 HW-2D4 MHW-2D4
      And the deciple of healing just makes this build insane

    Generally the two best builds are either X twilight cleric/2 stars druid or 1 life cleric/ X shepherd druid (X representing the rest of your levels)
    Twilight cleric is well the most busted subclass in the game, the temp hp buff is crazy. But, it doesn't have a ton of healing besides the regular cleric spellist, however two levels in star druid gives you an extra 1d8+wis most healing every turn you cast a healing spell, which is solid.
    1 Life cleric/ X shepherd druid is the better build for actually healing but probably less effective at actually keeping people alive. You get lifeberry which is strong. At 4th level with 1cleric/3druid you get access to healing spirit which is enhanced by disciple of life, all your actions are used on cure wounds or wither and bloom which benefit from disciple of life, and your totem gives 3 hp every turn to your entire party. You can even do shenanigans with the healer feat to have healing spirit + healing feat + healing word burst healing shenanigans. It's my favorite. Plus you eventually get polymorph which is the best mid-game healing spell in the game.
    Sorcerer multiclass also isn't too bad, because twin spelling healing is powerful, and you get silvery barbs to reduce critical hits. Don't even need 3 full levels as you can take the metamagic adept feat and then just 2 levels in sorcerer for sorcery points (also free con saving throw proficiency if it's your first level, so 1 less feat to take).

Low levels healing and summoning and manipulation of natural ambient light then at higher levels the big stuff like meteor attacks. And using radiant energy.

  • @Kurooganeko

    I'm actually shocked! Recently I've thought about building a divine soul sorcerer+beast master ranger. So my character would shoot his healing spells like Hank from the dungeons and dragons animated series while also having a barn owl familiar. I just can't decide between Aasimar or Sun Elf. I lean more towards Sun Elf, because this character is based on Perfect World character. In that universe all elves can "summon" wings, shoot with the bow, heal, give buffs, but they also have wings growing from their heads... and that looks more like Aasimar to me

    • @leodouskyron5671
      @leodouskyron5671 6 месяцев назад +1

      Do what you like *but*
      Be aware that if you do Ranger and Divine soul you by RAW must have Dex, Wis and Cha all at 13 and if you are going to be near combat you are looking at at least a 14 in Con. To say this is MAD (multiple attribute dependent) is a minor statement. And since beast master is so heavily Wis dependent you would want at least a 16 there adding to the issue. So you will need generally Dex 13, Con 14, Wis 16, and Cha 13.
      I don’t want to rain on your parade but have you considered beast master Ranger with Druidic Warrior multi with the Way of mercy monk. This cuts Charisma out of your stat requirements, since you can use a staff as a monk weapon the synergy is high with Monk as flurry of blows can use the Shillelagh when you are not using the beast for attacks. You also maintain healing skills and poisoning skills as well in melee.
      Just an idea and I hope it helps:

    For your Divine Soul Sorcerer: it is worth picking up the feat "Inspiring Leader" early. As temp hp is a free shield that needn't be healed later and can be applied every short rest. Another candidate for Extended Spell, is the spell Aid., bonus points for rest casting and extending it, so you regain the slot and points. Six levels of Circle of Stars Druid + 14 of Divine Soul Sorcerer, this allows for the ability to Twin Cast "Healing Word" and combo-ing it with your druid feature to heal a total of 3 people.

  • @morganpetros9635
    @morganpetros9635 6 месяцев назад

    I might add some paladin or warlock levels to the Divine Soul sorcerer build. Lay On Hands doesn't necessarily add a lot of healing to the build, but what only 2 paladin levels DOES do is add more (healing) spells to a build that's only going to ever learn 15 sorcerer spells. In fact, I would argue that 6 paladin levels might be optimal just for the damage avoided by adding big bonuses to saving throws.
    Warlock, on the other hand, only adds healing if you go with a Celestial patron, but what ANY warlock levels will do is add spell slots that recharge on a short rest ... without even expending Sorcery Points.
    Oh, and both classes will add armor proficiencies, never a bad idea for a squishy sorcerer. 😉
