I am so envious of this guy. Can't even begin to explain. A dream come true. The Jupiter 2 rocks! You're house rules, dude.
Bill I had to share your videos. I am so glad a person like you was able to be the curator of the items from the show. You gave them a home away from home, it means more than you know, thank you for sharing with all of us your J2 room in your home..
Beautiful job Bill I love it.
Absolutely wonderful. Fantastic job. Thank you for sharing this.
I LOVE your Jupiter 2 room!! I'm 55 yrs old & my love for Lost in Space has never diminished. I'm still a kid when I sit down to watch an episode. How cool it must be to have ACTUAL parts from the show. My ringtone on my phone is the theme music from the 1st season. Even better whenever my wife calls me her ringtone is the robot saying "danger, danger Will Robinson". Now I look forward to her calling me! LOL. Well, just wanted to share my thoughts. You have an awesome room and I'm "green dimension" green with envy. If I had the means I would have an actual Jupiter 2 built as my house. Bravo sir. Bravo.
I am 59 yrs old and I am unanimous in that. ( As Mrs. Slocum would say )
I remember as a kid I knew what day of the week it was by what was on TV that night.
It had to be Wednesday night if i was watching Lost In Space.
It was on CBS which was channel 2 in New Rochelle, NY. I think it came on about 8 pm EST or so.
It was the last TV show we got to see before bed time.
Oh, it was very important to not miss an episode so that you could discuss
the previous night's episode of Lost in Space intelligently on the school playground the following day.
I was obsessed with this show while growing up....
HOW BEAUTIFUL is this huh!!
Love seeing all this stuff!
thats amazing. love the bottle of carbon tec from hatfield for corners.
Thanks again . Bill. Hedges for the continuous tour of your fine work this is so out of this world replica of the . Jupiter 2 keep on doing what you do and I love the . Lost . In . Space music ,so thanks again for this fantastic tour!!!,bye .
That's Fantastik!!!
Great Job.
Tres belle représentation du JUPITER 2.
Ce que vous avez fait , j'ai toujour rever de faire quelques chose de semblable.
Bravo!
OUTSTANDING AND MY FAVORITE SHIP,THE JUPITER 2
If I had his Jupiter 2 props back in 66 when I was a kid, I would have been in heaven.
What a incredible attention to detail, such a great job Bill! Though I know someone will ask "Where's the bathroom"?
Awesome job. Thanks for sharing your hobby with us.
I am so incredibly impressed by what you've created. Thank you for sharing. :)
@royalDJjamie The room is still a work in progress, Since this video, I've added a static discharge tube next to the magna panel, and I have some acrylic cake covers that I'm going to convert into food bins for the galley. I'm also always adding small props as I build them, my goal is to make one representative prop from every episode. I can watch LIS episodes on the transmitter screen since there's a dvd player concealed in it, and I have tried the bed for a night one time.
Way COOL... ofcourse i am a fan from way back and I have seen every episode countless times.... Thanks
Wow what an amazing collection. most impressive sir!
A veritable Tour de Force! inspiring - truely inspiring!
Amazing! Simply amazing!
I woiuld love to actually visit this set! I wanted to visit the set of that guy who had a set in New York, but he didn't show the care for the set that Bill Hedges has...
Brilliant. Love your passion
Oh my gosh, Bill! You did a great job. I like how you kept it compact but still realistic. By the way, I like the "soundtrack" music and that you don't have it so loud like some people do.
Man, you're crazy. And I mean it in a good way! CHEERS!
Bill,I just watched part one and I'm just loving this!..you've put so much detail into everything right down to the Carbon Tet bottle..a true fan!
I love the show , and what you have done is great wow
i really enjoyed the tour of the ship
Great dorm room ideas!
Incredible detail! My compliments on your Jupiter 2. :)
Love it , love it, looovvveee it !!!!!
Bill, amazing!!!!
I am just...in awe.
Awesome!
Great work
Fabulous music!
Great work.
Simply the best
AMAVA ESSA SÉRIE QUANDO CRIANÇA, QUE PASSOU AQUI NO BRASIL NO COMEÇO DOS ANOS 70. ESSA PARTE TÉCNICA, LEMBRO QUE ME ENCANTAVA, NOS LONGOS PERÍODOS QUE A FAMÍLIA PASSAVA CONSERTANDO A ESPAÇONAVE APÓS OS POUSOS DESASTROSOS QUE O JUPITER 2 FAZIA NAQUELES PLANETAS DESOLADOS. QUANDO A ESPAÇONAVE FINALMENTE DECOLAVA NOVAMENTE, EU DELIRAVA.
Thats awesome!!! Did you also get a B9 robot recreation? That would be great with it!
I loved the show as a kid and even today i watch the complete series on dvd i just wish it could of went on to either find their way home or to where they were supposed to have gone to but as far as coloring the first and i may add best season i liked it in black in white made it seem more real and believable just wish they didnot camp the next two seasons even though i still enjoyed watching them just wished they would of kept it like it was done in season 1.
but Bill keep up the great work .
Wow, I really enjoyed your video, Thank you :)
MAN!!! -- This is WAY COOL there Bill!! Let me take a gander and assume that there's no Mrs. Bill, right?
Impressive work I hope you will update the videos as you build more. In Doctor Smith's closet did you have his spy com unit?
Fantastic
DAMN! THIS IS GREAT!! You should rent it out! LOL. Can you let me know where you purchased the copy of the Burroughs 205?? THANKS and keep up the great work!! Live Long and Prosper
A 2 day 1 night package for 1 adult (and 1 child under 14 yo?) for $1,000. Arrange the pilot's chair so you can easily watch LiS in BluRay on the large screen. Put proper LiS blanket on the bed/s. Serve TANG and Space Food Sticks as snacks (next best things to LiS "coffee pills" and "protein pills"). Let them use Bill's RC Chariot to make videos of themselves as a Giant. Be creative and have fun!
how nice! you built like the original, which longing,! congratulations for this friend ... very cool, really want to see up close ........
Well done sir.
From this perspective, the props look like Fisher-price versions of the real thing from the mid-sixties. If you look at how the imagineers made everything we know and use into Mickey's Toon Town versons, you could see how an entire world could be recreated into mid-sixties, LIS colors, shapes, and practical uses.
@cdziuba Four came from ebay, and two came from another collector. I acquired them within a couple of years and designed the cabinets to make sure they'd be included.
I've already drawn a section of two story, typical homes from the mid-sixties, where one "home" is the Jupiter 2 with it's own outside power supply and mail box. Of course you can't trust neighbors, so you'd still need a force field generator and Robot to stand guard all night.
On the Jupiter 2 ,Im guessing the sleeping arrangements were like this. One room Maureen and John.Other room Penny and Judy.Another for Will and Don.And finally our stowaway Dr Smith had a guest room all to himself.
thats a great job u did wish i had it never would come out of it
I saw the power pack for the B-9, now you need the robot to go with that pack.
Great!
@CelticDNA I think he brought it along to read while he hiding before launch, waiting for the technicians to leave.
From one Jupiter 2 fanatic to another- awesome job! I recently found a vid of the Jupiter- full size with complete upper deck interior- from the sci-fi airshow (Jupiter 2 at the Sci-Fi Air Show). If I had been there in person as a kid I just would have gone bonkers. Do you know who is in possession of this treasure?
My maternal(late) grandparents had the door to their living room.
Love it. I have noticed that the play list is backwards.. seems to be a common problem.
At least I have a little bit of LIS equipment but didn't know it until now. I own a few floral frogs. :-)
The Intergalactic Department Store must have had a big sale on those
Floral Frog Electronic Controllers. It seemed alien species from all over the galaxy
was using them. Mr. Zumdish must have really been pushing them.
This "Tour" series "Definitely Computes!"
Carbon tetrachloride no longer availiable today due to its toxicity
Lol its rather a thrill to see my hapgood spores on you tube....am planning on making some much larger ones.
Spectacular! How long did it take for you to collect those original props? Are they all from Ebay? This is incredible.
Where can I get a lost in space shirt like yours ?
Just why would Dr. Smith have magazines sent to the Jupiter 2 if he was a stowaway and never intended to stay there?
man, some nerds have all the fun !
Who did the fine cabinetry work? Where the heck do you acquire blueprints for something like this? Do you hang out in there and watch reruns?
@50zcarsman I didn't start building this until AFTER I was divorced, to have something to do, even though she was great in supporting my hobbies while we were married.
nice
Wfantastic
Were those magazines mockups? You obviously made the mailing labels.
Good thing they never had to go to the rest room The Jupiter 2 had none!
What about the egg rom "Return From Outer Space?"
Bill you live in Dallas? You ever give tours?
Does that guy in New York still have the original set? I heard he sold it some time ago but wasn't sure if that was true. If he did, who has it now?
BTW, was Pennies book a Nancy Drew? Or a Hardy boys book...or another book of the time?
+hamiltonpl; Bill, I don't think keeping the Neutronium fun, right next to the Carbon Tet (which he got after hanging out with Davey and Rheta Shaw!) - AND having both of these next to the plates?!?!?
Dear Santa
You must be a billionaire
Bill -- are you married, and if so how did you prevent the female from fleeing once she saw this ultimate manchild project was getting underway? :-)
So I am guessing you’re not married…………?
The Jupiter 2 NEVER had cheap, tacky linoleum as a floor surface. You can't remake the original. "Just like" doesn't count.
