    That looks a lot better than keeping the vent there

    Mike, one heck of a nice job fitting your solid filler panel in ! I went thru the same exact fitting problem,
    about 6 months ago when filling my 56' OEM vent louvered panel with a solid cowl filler panel from Classic Industries.
    I believe they source it from Dynacorn, Camarillo, CA. Of course it's better then the alternative.. having nothing.
    Keep up the good work !

      Thanks bud I appreciate that. Ugh I really hate body work but I have to at least get it decent so that I can assemble and drive the truck, until I can get it to a paint and body guy that’s a true artist.

    Ha! My cowl vent is the exact same color as mine. When I bought my truck it was in primer but the cowl vent was that rusty color. What a coinkidink!! I bought a delet too!! I bought mine from premier street rods in havasu. Mine lays flat however the ends not so much.

    What will you do with the bottom drain holes now that the vent is closed off?

    • @intheshoptv
      @intheshoptv  2 месяца назад

      Thats a great question! Im debating that right now actually. On one hand leaving them open is easy and God forbid any moisture gets in, it can still escape. But closing them off, prevents rodents, road moisture and dirt from getting in… not sure yet.

      @@dangonchoroff8413 funny, I just asked in a fb group, for opinions on whether I should leave mine open or close them up. Im leaning towards open as SOME water, even if condensation is still likely to get in there. The stainless wool is a cool idea, not sure what Im going to do yet honestly but I like where you’re going. I even thought about closing them and just adding a small fitting and drain tubing 🤷🏻‍♂️
