Started taming an Otter weeks ago and he got away. Using the taming tracker, I didn't know about previously, I found him again 1000m away and finished the tame. Thanks for that tip!
Haha that's awesome to hear :) The tracking system is an amazing quality of life update - I really wish it was in the game sooner because I lost a LOT of tames in the same manner that you had.
The main reason why I'm now subbed to you is because you show the buttons for both consoles and PC so players like me don't have to look up what's the equivalent to E for Xbox after watching a video

Couple things: 1. setting turrets to anything other than max range opens you up to beer runners with rockets. 2. Setting the view distance to low is no longer a strict advantage because it now also affects resource nodes and creatures. Otherwise good tips.
I respectfully disagree. Having all of your turrets set to max makes it much easier for enemies to soak your bullets, which is a much larger threat than a beer runner, so having a mix of each makes for a much better defense. As for the view distance, players run the game on Low Settings to scout for bases, so not seeing resource nodes or creatures is an incredible advantage. Most of the time those players are going to scout on flying mounts, so being able to spot hidden structures/storage in vegetation from afar is a crazy big advantage.
@@BunnehGaming Thanks for the clarification. Yes I do agree that a mix of each is better than all high or all medium if you have lots of turrets but if you only have a few I would set them to high or not even place them at all to avoid drawing attention, as you mentioned in your video. Also important is who the turrets are set to target - tames and riders, just riders, just tames. These are also highly situational and usually benefit from a mix of settings. As for the view distance stuff I suppose you are right, a player could switch it back and fourth for scouting for bases and just exploring the map. Depends on the kind of player you are and your tribe situation.
@@elephant1851 I can absolutely agree with the points on changing up your turrets targeting settings - as a matter of fact, I just touched on this topic in the most recent Tips & Tricks video! ruclips.net/video/Tjip8Wcts1Q/видео.html Also, major props to you man for making some points and discussing them with class and intellect. You actually don’t need a parachute if you span your inventory button on some servers when falling from great heights you can take little to no fall damage

8:06 We don't use narcotics because they weight less or they don't spoil, we use them because feeding narco berries count as forced feed that will lower your taming and you will lose levels.
That is 100% not true. Force feeding narcoberries does NOT lower taming effectiveness and you will not lose any levels by doing so. Please don't spread false information.
Also if you’re on Xbox and you get dropped from a bird and don’t have parachute and you spam B button (inventory) you slowly float down to the ground and take no fall damage

Yeah man Official servers are tough... Honestly you're better off finding a small Unofficial server with welcoming, helpful players. You'll have a much better experience. Official is brutal and unforgiving. You'll more than likely get wiped within a few days time because there's just no competing with Mega Tribes.
@@viciousinu4001 You can search for Unofficial servers either in-game (by using filters), by searching the ARK Forums for people advertising them, or by using BattleMetrics to search for active ones.
Mmm just got the game a week ago and I didn't realize alpha creatures weren't tameable... but I did notice good tools would appear after the taming failed and I had to kill the thing.
Haha yeah, I remember when they were first released into the game; me and my buddies were super excited to find them and tame them... Was disappointing that we couldn't, but at the same time it added a really cool element to the game for acquiring EXP and rare items.
I built a small Base with Hatch too, than a Carno joined me and everything was gone. Never again Hatch. You use a lvl105 Charackter to show some Beginner Guides. very nice
These guides are created while in Creative Mode, hence the level 105 character. It's not a Let's Play series or a Survival series, it's a condensed Tips and Tricks video. My apologies for providing you with free information.
@@ONeill45 I completely understand and sympathize. ARK is a very difficult and frustrating game at times, which is why I make guides/tutorials like this one to help people. A lot of work goes into these videos to make them as structured, cohesive and entertaining as I can, so seeing a comment that rips on me for using a level 105 character for purely demonstrative purposes is discouraging. I hope your ARK experience improves and you can find some worth in the content I provide.
Ready to give this game another go after rage quitting about 3 yrs ago. Entire great armor set, weapons and my dino squad met a T-Rex on the other side of the island map with multiple attempts to collect the stuff :/
@@BunnehGaming just quit again 😂. Ferried 2 ankys 65 and 70 to mountain top right of the island. Fought off birds, hyenia things, scorpions, just about survived the ambushes, filled up on obsidian and metal. Both were full to the brim and was just about to get to the shoreline when I got ambushed by a Rex and a prime bryon..something... Yeah. Will try again in 2 years 💀
I'm not sure of a way to do this in ARK's vanilla settings... Maybe somewhere in the INI files this could be done, but it's beyond my abilities. I believe that this can be achieved with mods though, if that's an option for you. The "Structures Plus" mod is super popular and I believe they removed the height cap for building. They also offer alternative pillar structures that make things a lot easier.
@@BunnehGaming you have very good videos! I can't seem to get the foundation hack over the water to work, where you place a roof then a foundation under it, has this been patched by any chance? Or have I stuffed with the settings somewhere hahah
@@joshuamartin9576 This hasn't been patched but it's limited - the example I demonstrated in the video was on a raft. Rafts operate differently than building on land, so sometimes it's not always possible. Typically it can be done on sloped terrain though, as long as the terrain isn't too far underneath of the ceiling that you snap.
I've put more hours into ARK than any other game out there. It has been worth every penny and then some. Granted, it has its flaws and downfalls, but if you can look past them and enjoy it for what it is, I think it's extremely worth it.
I usually go "all or nothing" when it comes to Crafting Skill. I typically don't invest any points into it whatsoever for my normal character builds, but when I need something important crafted (like a food recipe, saddle blueprint or armor/weapon blueprint) then I Mindwipe my character and invest all of my points into Crafting Skill. Once I'm done I Mindwipe again and reset my points accordingly. As for my normal run-around build, I usually go 300 HP, 150 Stamina, 350 Weight, 130% Movement Speed, 2 Fortitude, and the remaining points dumped into melee damage. Going 30 points into Fortitude is also not a bad build decision, as it can be very nice for negating torpor-gaining effects and environmental conditions.
Rafts react a lot differently to the building mechanics in ARK... It's really wonky sometimes. I have got the foundation-extension trick to work on some land builds, but it's finicky and often unreliable.
You're absolutely right! I created an in-depth video testing all of the common misconceptions out there for anyone else who is interested: ruclips.net/video/YhmK8qcuIK0/видео.html
Another amazing tip. If your health stat is 500 or greater, you cannot take fall damage anymore. I’ve jumped 300ft and didn’t lose a single health. Goodbye parachutes.
That has to be a glitch of some kind. Having 500+ health DOES mean you can survive a fall from any height (even from skybox to the ground), but it doesn't negate fall damage all-together. Back-to-back falls from varying heights can still stack you out and kill your character.
@@BunnehGaming I’m playing it last gen console and I’ve heard it’s the worst ark experience for lag and bugs going unpatched compared to next gen and pc. It was a fresh tame so it’s possible I had pumped a health stat into him prior to the fall and I was seeing him recovering the newly acquired health, but I could have sworn it took damage. I remember being scared I almost lost him. I’m going to log on and test it right away and I’ll let you know.
@@BunnehGaming it must have been the health stat I pumped him with. Just tried it again. The raptor I rode took damage while the allo was still full health. Good to know. I was always worried about new tames falling to their death on the journey back to base, because they can be a little erratic with their movements, now I don’t have to lol.
im new enough to ark that I’ve only ever built one base and it was basic as fuck. i joined a server and have ideas on where i want to build underwater but i have no experience in doing so. Can you please make a video that goes more into the base building mechanics?

Hugh Laurie is quite successful and famous. I'll take it!
@@BunnehGaming I want to say thank you. But i guess its not that easy for a beginer to tame a raptor. No movement speed, small healthpool i.e.
I hope your ARK experience improves and you can find some worth in the content I provide.
never heard of cryopods , have you
Ready to give this game another go after rage quitting about 3 yrs ago. Entire great armor set, weapons and my dino squad met a T-Rex on the other side of the island map with multiple attempts to collect the stuff :/
Ahhh man I feel your pain, been there many times.
Yeah. Will try again in 2 years 💀
@@richiep3520 LOL sorry man - that's ARK for you.
Me: *A person who’d been playing for roughly 3-4 years, just needing something to watch while eating*
“ *intresting* .”
This guy sounds like Jesse Eisenberg from zombie land
Jesse Eisenberg is quite rich and famous, so I'll take it!
TIP:The best thing best thing use to keep creatures knocked out are bio toxin even though it might be hard to come cross
Hello, is there a way to higher the pillars cap and build higher in the sky?
I'm not sure of a way to do this in ARK's vanilla settings... Maybe somewhere in the INI files this could be done, but it's beyond my abilities. I believe that this can be achieved with mods though, if that's an option for you. The "Structures Plus" mod is super popular and I believe they removed the height cap for building. They also offer alternative pillar structures that make things a lot easier.
@@BunnehGaming Yo thanks for the quick response. I'm trying to use it on vanilla server but cap is around 73 pillars or something.
This video is fucking amazing 😂
Thank you very much! Welcome to the channel :)
@@BunnehGaming ahhh okay that makes sense, thank you man! 🙏🏼
I have as of rn almost 1.700 hr in ark and i finaly found sumtin i didnt know like holy shit take my like n sum brother amen.
Thanks man! There are 3 other videos just like this one on the channel too, so there might be a few more you didn't know :)

Bonus tip: Just get an Argi
One question. Is it worth buying?
I've put more hours into ARK than any other game out there. It has been worth every penny and then some. Granted, it has its flaws and downfalls, but if you can look past them and enjoy it for what it is, I think it's extremely worth it.
Spam stim berries to counter troodons. Life saver for me.
So what are the stats i should put into crafting? And everything else? Im still new to ark because i didn't want to get addicted to it like i am now
I usually go "all or nothing" when it comes to Crafting Skill.
12:45 Why does this work on a raft but not a normal structure? I've done it on rafts easily, but it doesn't work if the structure is on the ground??
Rafts react a lot differently to the building mechanics in ARK... It's really wonky sometimes. I have got the foundation-extension trick to work on some land builds, but it's finicky and often unreliable.
female character have a smaller hit box but at the loss of hit speed. Male characters have a larger hit box but can attack faster.
@@BunnehGaming not sure. I had an Allo tame follow me as I jumped. It took somewhere around 3k-4K damage and I had 100% health still.
@@thegatesofsleep Alright now I'm really confused, because unridden creatures don't take fall damage haha
@@BunnehGaming
I’m playing it last gen console and I’ve heard it’s the worst ark experience for lag and bugs going unpatched compared to next gen and pc.
Tip 22...oh. my. God.
You're welcome :)
Started playing Ark on my phone with my Xbox controller but I decided to get it for my Xbox but it is extremely differently than what I play on mobile
I could imagine. I've never played the mobile version of the game but from what I've read it's an entirely different experience.
I never trap creatures and never have problems lure them to an easier to tame area
Neat
im new enough to ark that I’ve only ever built one base and it was basic as fuck. i joined a server and have ideas on where i want to build underwater but i have no experience in doing so. Can you please make a video that goes more into the base building mechanics?
As a starting mount tame a iguanodon or triceratops
