Pls react to Prince shredding the guitar compilation. It’s long but I PROMISE it’s worth it. He was our Mozart. He could do it all
Been a fan since the 70’s. Knew he played all the instruments on his albums so when I heard Bambi and I’m Your’s I knew he was one of the greatest artists ever.
He didn’t play this live very often. This is probably the best live version I’ve seen. The studio version is great. He played all the instruments on it and was only 20 when he recorded it.
The guitar solos in Bambi were always 🔥. That guy could shred!
Here's my thoughts on what you said (keep in mind I'm very young, I was born before Prince released his 31st album).
Prince wasn't Ever "A Popstar" apart from the 'Purple Rain' era, he was a very infamous Funk Songwriter, singer and instrumentalist. Prince just showed his prowess when it came to making Evergreen Pop Hits with albums like - 'Purple Rain', 'Batman', 'Diamonds and Pearls' and 'Musicology' (which are some of his Best-selling albums) but other than that he was a "true musician". the most indie/alternative mainstream musician.
I don't know of to many musical artists that have ever had a creative dual within themselves...but listen to I'M YOURS the end ... guitar- bass .... "Prince " the architect... God Bless

I didn’t have that thought but you are not alone. I’ve seen a lot of people say the same thing about Prince. They had no idea until they saw the HOF performance or until after he died. Prince played every genre of music. I was able to see him live twice. Definitely the best concerts I’ve ever been to. My husband said the same and he doesn’t really like Prince that much. He’s a classic rock fan.

Prince is amazing! Hes a one man army. I always knew he was killer on the guitar as well as the scores of other instruments he plays. I was lucky enough to see him live over 20 times. Prince is the greatest performer. He's amazing. You should check out Play that Funky Music/HOLLYWOOD SWINGING/Fantastic Voyage from the Forum in LA . I think it's from 2004. You should also check out While My Guitar Gently Weeps from the night he and George Harrison were inducted into the RRHF. He shreds on both.

You just had the same guitar epiphany about Prince than Billy Gibbons, he has a story with Prince (these stories are always legendary) where he spoke about guitar with him late at night during several hours in a NY club.
More Prince please, he was the greatest musician of all time, The God of Music.
