Great reaction. Prince was the showman in every performance. "Just as long as we re together" was from Prince s first album For You. Disco sounding but has prince playing every instrument, singing every part. U might dig "america" live from 1985

One of my favorites, he also performed Electric Chair on SNL in 1989 and that was awesome too

Good pick. I'm partial to the Brit Awards version of the song, but the SNL performance is a damn fine set. The singers/background vox, Tamar & the Twins, perform similar dance moves at the Brit Awards performance (set list: Te Amo Corazón/Fury/Purple Rain/Let's Go Crazy) - but in later interviews they shared that they could never quite capture the magic and energy of that night at the awards show.

Don't agree. This version of Fury is way better than the Brits version.

I think Prince isn't underrated at all, it just depends on the crowd you surround yourself with. If you're around people who mostly listen to mainstream music, I.E. Ariana Grande, Beyonce, Drake, Ed sheeran, Kanye, etc. Than that specific group may not hold Prince in that GREAT light. Even tho Prince's name is always legendary even to non fans. But if you go to the crowd that listens to Kimbra, Janelle Monae, H.E.R, Bruno Mars, that specific crowd worships Prince. It's like high school, the kids not in music class are probably more mainstream pop fans but the kids in music class, playing instruments worship artists like Prince. Really depends on who you surround yourself with. I traveled to poor asian countries, where homeless kids had purple rain shirts on, singing kiss. Prince had the eiffel tower glow Purple as a tribute when he passed. Idk if you can call that underrated. This was a great reaction. Really cool channel. Prince was the mainstream leader for Musicians

One of the best guitarist in the world. Also, a stratocaster with only 1 single coil + 1 humbucker and a floyd rose bridge? Uf!!! Powerful and bright at the same time. Nice!

I don’t know which I liked more, your reaction or Prince’s performance of his beautiful song, “Fury.” 😄. Just kidding….nice song choice. The 2009 performance of “Empty Room” in Montreux … is simply amazing if you haven’t heard it.

That was a wicked performance. I would never call myself a prince "fan" but it was never in a dislike or disrespect kind of non fan. I remember when he arrived, When Doves Cry, Purple Rain, right off the bad the first notes played on When Doves Cry, you know he can get down to business.
I remember just happened to catch this on TV when it aired, mid 2000's sometime, I was in some serious stupid pain me tally over this chick. I was bummed out, it was around the time I decided to pick up a guitar again to deal with the mental weight of all kinds of things in my life. I happen to catch this right from the start, Steve Martin introduction, and decided to watch it. It's Prince, let's see what he's got to say in 2006 or whatever date. I was floored. It's like holy crap man, he's stepping back into more rock. He must be on a Hendrix kick. Even his choice of guitar, Fender Strat, Floyd Rose, Lace Sensor pickups including a bridge humbucker. You know he's gonna shred some butt and he does too. Look at him walking off, he knows he just destroyed the place. I could believe that. I was like holy f***....

You can have a great guitarist but lacks showmanship or… a great guitarist & showmanship….who out of the two do you think will draw much attention?
Prince was a master Showmanship which came naturally!!! AS For ROLLING STONE MAGAZINE in there write up of the top 100 guitarist in the world & prince didn’t make the list!!! YOU Got To BE kIDDING Right? What a joke👎
