Tell me, have you ever tried a metallic poster like displate with black light ? The result must be sick with a synthwave or cyberpunk style ! 😁
I’ve seen some crazy metallic like material that was printed with UV reactive material, but I can’t remember what it was. I’ve never seen anything like it, pretty sick if you ask me. Might be on the same line as what you’re thinking here.

I have a question. Basement Room, 5m x 4m x 2m. I bought 36W LED flood lamps, but they are way to aggressive on the eyes. Room too small for that. So no more spotlight I guess. What do you recommend I should do instead? LED stripes left and right? Or 2 G13 CFL? Looking for ~395nm, since I do not want it completely dark, but this glowing blue :) Thanks
@nn23 Hello. Is it a rectangle flood lamp? You might want to check out a linear option in the 20ish Watt range, if 36W is too much for the eyes. Check out something like this amzn.to/3IlYSjx

Love the channel, subscribed! I’ve learned a lot from all your videos. I’ve learned that my black lights that I bought from Walmart and Spencer’s suck, especially the Walmart ones. I’ve learned about the 365 vs other wavelengths, what I want in my room. I definitely like that Beast V3 365 flashlight! Also, I’ve learned about paints, too! I’ve got a glow in the dark life size Slimer that came damaged (a good scuff around the upper lip) that took away the glow effect and been trying to figure out how to fix it to glow again. I have used some glow paint from Walmart but I just can’t seem to match it or get the same type of glow. The whole prop looks like it was done with a spray application so it’s hard to apply the paint to a small section with a brush to match the spray on look. Maybe you can help me with some suggestions? Anyway, your channel is awesome and I will eventually replace my existing black lights with the ones you mentioned. Right now I 6 black lights in a small room and plenty of light leakage, the room looks bright purple not the look I was going for, I just want the room darker with just the glow in the dark reactive collectibles to glow. Anyway, I learned quite a bit from your channel.
The only thing that Still in question or I’m not so clear on is: is it dangerous to be in a room with all these back lights? Your garage is full of them so it doesn’t seem to be a concern to you or is it the exposure that you have to be concerned with? Or is there really isn’t any concerns with blacklight/UV wavelengths that are being mentioned here. Should I be wearing protective eye wear in my room? Or just not be in the room for a long time??

Sounds like you have 400nm blacklights with all the purple leakage. 365nm will fix that no problem!
When I’m in my garage with all the blacklights on, I try not to be exposed for a long time, especially if I’m within 5-10’ of the blacklight.

Yes, it’s wildfirelighting.com for the paint. The laser I used was just some cheap blue laser I got from buying blue screen glasses. Any laser on Amazon will work.
