Does it matter wat size screen you got? I run a helix 8 in. Sometimes, I can't track my bait, so I was wondering if it matters
That is clear.
It should be better when I go next time. We will track smaller baits.
I have a Helix 10 with megalive and I dont get close to the quality you have goin there? In fact I have only seen my lure on a few occasions. Can you do a video on that? Or even better can it be possible to book you for a video call session with me while on the water? last would be great option if you can facilitate that.

Thanks for the informative stream! I am watching it a little late but I was wondering if you have the mask installed on the transducer? My bottom return is not very defined, and I can't seem to clean it up so I was thinking maybe the mask would make a difference.
I don't use the mask. The bottom return is going to depend on the type of cover/structure at each location. Try the mask. You can always remove it if you don't like it. Hope that helps.
@@MoneyBass I appreciate your response. Do you find that you are adjusting your transducer angle frequently, or do you run it at 40 deg setting with the transducer physically set 4 clicks off of vetical?
@@josheddy6905 hard for me to explain. I set it on the forward facing line the angles the transducer toward the surface. I adjust the degrees based on how soon my lure is in the beam when it hits the water.
@@MoneyBass No problem, that makes sense. I just realized how big of an impact on image the degree angle and physical transducer angle makes. Previously, I had always just run unit at the "F" on the mount.
I just installed a mega live on my boat. i'm planning on going this weekend. I'm a little nervous about trying to get it set up.
All was well with mine. Try tracking larger baits first them work your way down to smaller lures.
How's the Bair tracking with smaller baits like damiki ?

There is video in the members only section that shows more detailed footage. This video is to help people get dialed in after the 1.300 update. I believe I tracked the Damiki out to 70ft to 80ft.

So money is the latest updates legit, I’ve heard it was some problem going on and I was afraid to update but yesterday I got a chance to get on the water and noticed my mapping was acting up on all my units so I assumed it’s time for an update
I haven't noticed any issues with the 2.93 and 1.300 updates. Be sure to contact Humminbird support if you have specific issues. I will be live on the lake again and can answer questions in real time.

My mega live is unusable after update, sceen is completely distorted.
Be sure to watch the livestreams Tuesdays at 8pm we always try to help each other with any issues. When you say unusable do you mind giving specifics of the issue? Someone my reply with a solution to help you.
Call Humminbird. Mine was bad after the 1.29 update. They just sent my new live transducer.
I have a helix 9. i must have a setting wrong i cant see my a rig hardly at all ive got to shake the mess out of it to see

I start out with larger lures then downsize once I stay in the beam consistently.
