Great footage and information. Missed the live! Question: where is your mega live transducer mounted?
My Mega Live transducer is mounted on the Targetlock.
Target lock only works with minn kota. I have a motor guide tour pro. Where I fish on the upper Mississippi River there are lots of obstructions to run into with a trolling motor. Also lots of weeds. Going through a dense weed bed with mega live and mega 360 on a trolling motor and trying to lift this trolling moter up when gets clogged with weeds is HEAVY. Plus when I have had interference from transducers on trolling motors( I have done everything that is possible to reduce electrical interference. I met an electrical engineer online who gave me an idea. I took an old X5 motor guide trolling motor that is spring loaded. Took the motor off the bottom. Mounted a si transducer on the bottom , a mega live transducer above that and a mega 360 with a fortrex mount above that. All helix g4n units and transducers served by stand alone 100 amp lipo battery with battery monitor letting me know much juice all this uses. All units to a dedicated fuse block. Mega live and mega 360 with push button on/off switches. Cutoff switch to everything at lipo battery. I usually use about 40% of the lipo battery during a 6 hour day of fishing( I am 72 and more than 6 hours wears me out). Nice to be able to use a foot pedal to aim mega live vs hand. When I weed fish I can keep the mega 360 and mega live stowed and not have to lift a ton of weeds off the trolling motor.
Thanks for the info. Since the last (October) update, my I pilot link kept discontinuing and connecting. Hope this update fixes it. I see it is in the TM fixes. Tech support had no answer for me but they did help me with the TM interference and replaced my mega live. Thank you for making me aware of this and how to proceed with replacement
Hopefully this update addresses your issue. I have to spend more time on the water with it to see what else I notice.
Another question I'd like to know is how good can u tell diff sizes of fish by looking at the dots? I know w Garmin it's pretty easy to tell but I wanna see w mega live diff size fish u catch an what they look like on screen
What pitch prop are you running and relationship to prop and pad height

What is your degree of angle setting to see your bait that clear
Liked and subscribed. How do you like the target lock system? Does it move the transducer fast enough or hinder tracking the movement of the fish?
Thanks for watching and supporting the channel. The target lock system is great. The pros outweigh the cons for me. The main adjustment for me was adapting to the slower movement of the Targetlock vs the trolling motor. For me, it didn't take long to adjust and I hadn't even thought about it anymore. Did you see mega 360 has an update also. Do you have mega 360? Do you have to update all units with mega live download or just one?
Im not sure if my Mega 360 is on the most current version. I do have Mega 360. You only update Mega Live once.
I believe you are viewing the update incorrectly. The Mega Live update 1.300 is only ran once . This updates the Mega Live transducer only. The 2.93 update for Helix is ran on each graph.
I bought mine used but the guy told me not to update it would screw it up. It’s an older transducer when the first came out is there something wrong with these? I wanna update it though to get the better picture I have a helix 12 that also needs an update but I need to find a computer to use. If it’s defected will they send me a new one since I’m not the buyer

Do you know if Humminbird is coming out with a new mega live this year? I see the current Mega live is $500 off right now. Thinking they are clearing those out so they can release a new one?
I don't know. The people who actually know would not tell the general public. $500 rebates/discounts have been offered several times without a new Mega Live coming out.
Ever since the last update and now the new update the view is way to hot. The bait tracking might be a little better but the actual bottom is way to hot/fuzzy or cluttered. Trees and brush are way to hot and cluttered. Before these updates the view was way more clear and you could pick out individual fish in trees and brush. I know you are using persistent mode so the picture is a little more blurry but there is no way that is a good picture compared to previous versions. I can't find any settings to clean up the view. I fish in pretty clear water and I have a 2D transducer also connected to the same unit I run Mega Live on.

I notice with these updates there is a lot more top interference.
I noticed the top interference. I didn't adjust noise rejection and other settings see if I could eliminate it. I'll check into it.
Wow, they have a lot of work to do when it comes to FF worse picture of fish i'v ever seen. You can't beat the 360, I never run it on 360 always on 180 who cares what's behind me. Great info!!
Honestly ice fishing next to buddies with livescope it's not horrible. It sees the same thing, hummingbird just presents it in a different way. Ice Fishing is probably the best way to compare because there is less variables.
If you have not downloaded update DO NOT DOWNLOAD The 1,30 has caused my unit to start cross talking.... The images of the brush pile are not near as crisp....I hope they let me send my unit in for repair
I updated mine last night now I have major interference 🤦♂️
