MB, the physical angle of the transducer is recommended to match the angle setting....each click from the straight down is 10° each

Some great info Ryan , their is a science to it and one reason is most trolling motors when deployed are raked or tilted back when deployed in the water they are not what would be level or plum. I run mine at 5 or 6 clicks up with a 50 or 60 deg setting in the unit because of the tilt back on the trolling motor. If your at the recommended 40 degrees your going to be more in a downward view because of that tilt back on the trolling motor . With a 50 or 60 degree on the actual transducer itself it will help compensate for that offset.

My TM is completely vertical so for forward mode Im at six clicks or 60 degrees.

How's Money Bass doing? Lake X is back to full pool. I caught 60 bass today. Nothing over 3lbs. In the next month I should have access to Lake X 2.0. I will keep you posted.
