In general, the TI units are faster in response to inputs. This is seen when quickly switching between sonar, downscan, chart, and split screens ruclips.net/user/postUgkxeAxH15LxhjGlg5-CRYqjTGTEH0tbY4vk recommend The Hook units will show some lag on button pushes and screen switching. The big ticket item though is maps. If you install a mapping card such as Navionics or the free C-Map Genesis which has a lot of map detail, then moving around the map with the cursor or when running down the lake can lag significantly on the Hook units, but is seamless with the TI units.
So can you still switch over to your side/down imaging transducer that came with the display or do you have to have a separate display to run each one? Wanting to get the mega live transducer but hoping I can run it all with one display unit.
We have a Helix MSI+ G4N. I'm considering buying the Mega Live and use it for trolling for salmon and Kokanee. Also we anchor fish for salmon and Steelhead. I want to use the Mega Live pointing to back and likely forward too. Where did you get the Mega Live mounting system for off the side of the boat. We moor our boat so I would want to be able to remove when we come in after fishing.
Hey Bob! We are currently in the process of designing an ice and boat mount that will be removable for the Mega Live units! Stay tuned we will have them on our RUclips channel and on our website at www.pokeystackle.ca!
We didn’t have a lot of time with it! Just got to play with it for a day. When our stock comes in we will put a ton of time in with it and have all the ins and outs of it. But first impression it was a great unit and with time will be able to further play with settings to really dial it in. This was basically straight out of the box!
They kinda over talked the clarity of mega live and under shot it. They must have something like the livescope transducer and the panoptix transducer. I was kinda shooting myself in the foot for selling all my Helix units and switching to Garmin but after seeing a few mins of this I'm kinda glad I did. Not only do I not have to wait for these to ship I still have better clarity on my Garmin units. Hummingbird had a lot of work to perfect this and once it's perfected I'll probably switch back. But I do love my Garmin units for sure.
@@ipoopinwalmart5968 lol here we go! Thank you for your two cents. I really appreciate, and value everyone’s opinion! If I can learn something new from this is not every one runs with the same equipment. I’ve been in boats with panoptix to be completely honestly with you is I’m going to purchase the Mega live for my younger kids to play with. I find more eyes fish with side imaging than anything else. Good luck bud!
No 360 and Live Splitscreen, Not getting suckered into buying more helix units. It's a simple software update for a glorified 2D transducer ... Im out ------------->
Still, less than impressed. My order was just pushed back again until at least December 1. They just as well keep it until they get it right and this is still a long long ways from right.
@@pokeystackleshop I've seen the garmin in action on the ice and there is no comparison to every video I have seen! The garmin you could see the jigs and minnows on the jigs 4 holes away aprox 40 yards away from the hole the garmin was in! First hole 10 yards away you could even make out the line! There is absolutely no comparison! I'm not going to purchase this to waste 1500$ just to prove its garbo. That's the beauty of the internet... so disappointed!
There is no Live and 360 split screen option (I assume just a software update)... at that point its buy yet another helix or go without this glorified 2D transducer with a longer cone angle. And yes 2 graphs for Ice fishing is just stupid. I'm going without it, or I will buy the competitors graph and live imaging.
Looks awesome!! Can’t wait to get one. That perspective mode is an awesome feature!
Good thing some of you guys in here aren’t forced to use this.

Can you do a video on how you set up mega live to the side of the boat like you have it
Did you ever get the mount completed that you have running off the side of the boat? checked your website did not see anything.
We do have a few options for the ice pole to be adapted for the boat!
Can you send me pictures of how you mounted the helix 15? Looking to do the same.
I cannot find my lure when in down mode

Hey Jay you can run it all off one unit! The Mega Live uses the ethernet port so it is separate from you SI/DI transducer

Will the Mega live work on a Helix 10 G2N?
Nope, G3N Mega+ Minimum.... You will need a second unit to run it with a 360 anyway There is no Live and 360 split screen option
LiveScope with a 9inch screen has more fish detail than your 15inch.
right
Top vidéo ♥️👍🏻💪🏻
Do you have any left?
Should get another load in Early to mid January!
@@pokeystackleshop How much is shipping to Sparta Wisconsin?
Put me on the list. Do you have a link to your website?
The down mode looks good to me! What do you think of the forward mode? Do you still use the #11 color chart for forward mode?

Looks really bad compared to Active Target and Livescope!
Bunch of kids at the candy store lol
Hummingbird has fallen to the back of the pack. Sad they had a long time to get this right and dropped the ball
Glad we didn’t spend $ on a ‘bird system just for live……stayed with Lowrance and Active Target, happy we did!
Okay Yoda
