- OK this is it! My favourite underwater video that I have ever made. Super clear shots of big schools of walleye, nice strikes and structure. Ever wonder what it looks like when the walleyes bite your crankbait. This is the video for you. It shows how walleyes react to slow trolling and fast trolling. We were trolling for walleyes using a 30 ft Tail dancer from Rapala and reef runner crankbaits. This was all shot at Elk Island Lodge on Gods Lake, Manitoba, Canada. Thank you for watching !! Make sure you subscribe and stay tuned for more Underwater strike videos of Northern Pike and walleye.

This really shows off a well known tactic of bottom bumping. The action when the crankbait/lure is close and or hitting the bottom adds a erratic movement that mimics a fleeing baitfish perfectly. Really shows the importance of matching different lures dive depth to your water depth. Awesome video thanks!
thanks for watching and supporting!
This video makes me so sad cause I just realized how many walleye I go past and they don’t bite
Try smearing some fish oil on the plug
Sometimes I go fishing at Lake Chautauqua and if that lake is just like that with all the fish I’m passing I am going to be angry
Change the lure or the colour then.
Fishing too slow. Speed up and get them to react instead of chase
Same here. A good day where i use to fish you can get 3 to 4. Other than that, no bite.
I think it would be very intesting to have this split screen with a video of the rod tip. That way we could see how the rod behaves along the journey.
I will try that in the future. Thanks for the idea.
I regret to inform my community that I have a severe addiction AND IT IS THE BEST ADDICTION IN THE WORLD!!! Walleye fishing!!!
Love that pure reaction bite. I cant ever get enough
My favorite lures are doctored bomber floating A long. They cant resist um.
I love the Walleye that goes after the camera. Maybe I should put a couple treble hooks on a GoPro and try that out.
we have thought about that a few times!
Do it! Next stop, epic footage.
Jay Siemens did it
@@BenIntentional Yeah they totally should
Uncut anglIng has already done this....
So cool, a bottom bouncer with a live bait will be my main trolling method.
Very cool man!! Crazy how many of them just chase/follow the lure.
Thanks man!
Cool....but hungary river carp fishing is stronger...:))))
They are not stupid. It looks fake
Really puts it to scale how many fish there is but none if they ain’t biting😂
the lures were wiggling to much.
He was fishing way too deep. That's the KISS of DEATH ☠️
Fishing too deep. That's the KISS of DEATH ☠️🎣🤙
Some of the best footage I've seen on the interweb. Great job!
Glad you enjoyed it!
I’ve always had the best trolling success for walleye with Rapala Original Floaters in Hot Steel and Perch fishing drop offs and deep channels. Good vid and good catches too!
That is awesome! thanks for watching
What a great video, greetings from 2 Irish pike fanatics! 🍀🐊🎣
I love my province for fishing, manitoba is such a beautiful place !
haha! Most fish just getting out of the way of that lure lol
Loved the one that was going after the camera xD hahahaha funny fish
Nice video thx for sharing the experience of different rules underwater
Damn, I love these underwater videos!!!
Awesome video. That reef runner has been a great lure for me. I got to put a steel lead on it too to keep the muskies from steeling them.
Thank you, they are great.
Incredible!🤩
👁 just luved wall👁y👁-balling this video’s awesome camera view. It was a marvelous setup…lol! One was even intent on munching the camera itself.😅
Cool. Three take aways: 1. Walleye are wimps after hooked 2. sharpen hooks 3. put hooks on camera 🤔
Yeah looks like they just stop swimming after being hooked, maybe a couple head shakes. Hooks on the camera, not a bad idea.
Fascinated. I'm utterly fascinated. Great video. Still want to catch one of these. Someday.
You should!
You can simulate the event by snagging a stick and reeling that in!🤣
This video is case and point of why I'm not a lazy troller, I'm always bouncing the rods in the holders, jigging, slack lining then pulling hard, you never know just HOW long a fish is following your bait, and the slightest change in cadence can be the difference between a skunk and a limit, good video 👍🏼
Exactly, thanks for watching!
I love that this video proved to me what I thought, Clown is the superior paint job on jerk baits.
Damn 325 that strike is crazy fast
Amazing video, thanks guys.
Funny how this works. You spend countless hours of research and try to tie on the lure that looks the most natural as prey, just for for some absolute moron of a fish to attack your camera🤔
These videos are very interesting to watch the follows. Why do they follow the lure and decide not to bite? And then sometimes decide to bite?
Peter Linn depends if theyre hungry
Oof
@@peterlinn9815 can be as simple as they aren't on the bite. But, also, can be they don't like the lure being used, or, simply want a different colour.
That's why i never run a lure too long if it's getting no action.
One reason the walleye attacked is the spawning season and territory defending. Walleyes are known to be absolute maniacs while theyre protecting their territory or eggs.
Learned a lot.
Very cool. Neat to see how many fish totally ignore your lure.
Thanks and Yeah at least I know they are down there.
Awesome ! Thanks for the video !!!
So many fish that aren’t hitting! If I was seeing that many lethargic walleyes on the camera, I’d start jigging
That is an awesome jigging spot of mine as well. Some day they like trolling, they always like jigging tho :)
I dont even use lures to catch em , where abouts was this ?
Just saw its manitoba , nice, you should see the walleye where i live , cant miss lol
Like lakers. Some days they are cruising, and catch em trolling. But some days, they are stacked on the bottom. That's when the jigging gets the action.
Jigging is more finesse and can get them to bite.
Very cool. We took a fly in trip in Ontario in 2018 and got bored jigging. Started trolling cranks and towards the end of the trip found out that deep diving minnow profiles worked the best. Something about the lure clanging off the rocks seemed to trigger strikes. Your video shows much of the same.
We're heading back next year and my tackle box is stacked with flicker minnows, tail dancers, and salmo free divers
Nice nice, good luck! let us know how you do :)
Try - Acme Walleye Rattle Spinner
最高の動画!
ルアーが無防備な時に魚がヒットするのが多いことが分かった。ルアーもわざと無防備にすれば釣れますね
Thank you very much!!
I love the underwater footage, we’ve gotta get one of those cameras. Is that a go pro?
It might be a "water wolf" camera..
water wolf camera
All in All,, COOL AZZ VIDEO! Was that lake Erie, michigan side?
Gods lake, Manitoba
Love the videos man. How have you got it set up? I would love to set up a camera in front of my lures while I'm on lake Erie this year.
Just tied on the water wolf and 2.5 to 3 ft of fluorocarbon to the lure.
They really get fired up when the crank bait is hitting bottom. Cool video thanks
Try-Acme Walleye Rattle Spinner
Thats Sick! Like that is So Awesome! Great Job.
Thank you! Cheers!
Awesome 👌
Fish:bites lure
Lure:SUPER SPEED ACTIVATED
Nice footage! 👍🏻
The first one just went limp lmao
verry nice video.1 question: what is the length you have between your camara and your lure? thanks
close to 3 ft.
Great video! Can you tell us how you rigged the camera?
with the original mount that comes with the water wolf camera and a 3 ft fluorocarbon leader.
Great video
Wild!
Very satisfying video! 👍
Thank you!
Duuuuuude! 🤯 How am I JUST seeing this....
5:27 that walleye wanted thr camera
How does your lure stay at the bottom
How do keep that lure on the bottom
That was so many fish... wow
very cool
Reminds of shark baiting. Those fish act just like Great White Sharks; following, looking, attempts a little nibble then backs off, swimming around the bait. Just the overall similar curiosity of giant whale killing sharks lol!
This is fishing education, fishing on or near bottom over variety of structure near drop offs. Its proven here. Thank you. Seeing real footage of strikes.
Mega film :) Pozdrawiamy :)
Dzięki!! :)
How did you attach the camera for this rig ?
Just with the original water wolf mount and a 2.5 to 3 foot fluorocarbon leader to the lure.
Clown color Taildancers are awesome on leadcore...
good video
3:50 that Fish just gave up.
what kind did u used bait lure?
Very nice! Share!👍🤝
Reminds me of my last trip to the dentist.
never fished for walleye and after this not sure i want to once they get hooked they just give up and get dragged, sure isn't lile a steelhead or salmon here in alaska
only the big walleyes fight, I also much prefer a trout fight.
They are the best tasting freshwater fish that is why you fish walleye
No fresh water fish fights like a salmon but walleye best eating imo
They are good table fare though
Walters are known for being lazy fighters lol if you want to catch fish for a fight go ditch pickle fishing, if you want to fish to put food on the table go Walleye fishing
What camera did you use?
water wolf 1.1
Awesome video! What model camera is this?
Thank you, Water Wolf 1.1
Thank you for the video. What is the trolling speed?
between 1.3 to 2 mph
Nice lurre🙏👍
Did you catch any of those?..
They may not fight much but they taste great. Use to fish lake Erie from Port Clinton OH, using Erie Deary sp? exclusively with a night crawler, cast and retrieve, never trolled. Rarely did not limit out boat of 5 to six fisherman.
How did you attach the camera to the line I’m looking to do something like that with a GoPro
u got special camerras for this... gopro is too big... too much drag
get a water wolf
I liked the one that kept hitting the camera
Just curious.... how do you film this so clearly?? Unreal
just a clear lake
Was that fish growling when it got hooked? Where was that sound coming from?
just the line making the noise
How long of a cast was that
How do you get the camera to stay underwater when you're trolling?
i explain in the latest walleye video from 2022 if your keen to see it
Afar kind of camera did you use and how did you set your rig up??
water wolf. 3ft of mono
I think there are more walleye in this clip than the entire state of Pennsylvania. The fish commission here doesn't care about walleye.
Go to erie
I catch walleye out of the kiskimentas River regularly
I just caught a 20 incher in central PA, tasted real nice.
BUM BUM JÄÄÄ EXTREM BÄÄM 😉🤙
I’ve probably watched this 100 times 🤦♂️
Need to slow it down a little bit !! Good spot !!!
What lake is that where there's so many walleyes?
gods lake
My favorite part is when you hooked that Walleye and he was all like "waaaaaaaaaaaaaa aaahhhhhhhhh ahhhhhhhhhh waaaaaaaa"
Is the camera on the line?
ya
The camera is more effective than the last two lures.
Ghost attacks !
Good
Soooo.....we should start trolling with a go pro camera??
what fishing line were you using???
12lbs floro leader on 50lbs braid as i dont want to lose the camera.
how many walleyes are in this lake jeeez
No wonder I often get strikes when "working" a lure, turning the boat, or speeding up a bit. Trigger the follows!
Buenos videos como pones la cámara hay ???
atarlo a la línea de pesca
how do u set ip the go pro??
its a water wolf camera not go pro
how is the camera attached? crazy
just tied on, google water wolf camera and you will see
4:28 just bouncing it off the fish at this point
The camera had the biggest seizure I’ve seen
Do you think you were trolling fast enough ?
Might try some sent there mate
Those fish aren't as stupid as the average fisherman thinks. I was never good with artificial baits. It has gotten better with some of the new plastics. That Nikko helgrammitte is a bass killer among other species.
Slow the troll speed and you will pick up way more
as slow as the 40 yamaha goes, sometimes I back troll, when super slow
I was catching walleye off shore a few days ago, they wouldnt bite unless you were reeling painfully slow.
I was checking to see if anyone else thought so too. That was pretty obvious. Slow your roll...
Actually I've caught many at 4mph
you should put some hooks on the camera XD
Where is this shot?
Gods Lake, Manitoba, Canada
