I thought it was brilliant that we could go into this last episode already knowing who the bad guys were, after stringing us along and misleading us so expertly all season, and still there were a lot of big surprises. And, to me, the biggest payoff was that Enid/Wednesday hug at the end.
Every-time I watch this episode I always cry at the hugging scene.
Its so heartwarming.
Gwendolyn Christie has said in an interview “We didn’t see her put in the ground”!! To me that means Professor Weems isn’t dead and will return in season 2+!! (I hope!!)
I wouldn't mind her being next season's "Goodie", guiding Wednesday in her visions as a force ghost.
That hug is the best scene in the entire series.
It would be hilarious if Weems just showed up for work next semester, but as a ghost, and everyone would be like "ummm...okay?" and everything with her just continues as was😄.

(9:21) You two couldn't know it in that moment, but Xavier was right: none of what Rowan's mom predicted could have happened without Wednesday (or rather: her blood).
Of course: Thornhill would probably still have killed all the students with her Nighshade poison.
As much as I feel bad about Weems' death, I think it serves an important narrative purpose. There was victory, but there was also a cost, and I feel that loss will in a sense bind Wednesday more strongly to Nevermore. Her little speech where she speaks of her respect for Weems always moves me.
There always needs to be a price for victory.

Oh, by the by. Good eye about Goody. Notice her sly/evil smile júst before she entered Wednesday?
On a sidenote: Wednesday’s wardrobe is absolutely fantastic through the entire season. The people behind that should get an award. I wouldn’t be surprised if we’ll get to see a return of Goth-chique in the mainstream, knowing hòw well this series was received allover the world.
Weems returns as Ghost Principal Weems is my prediction. After all, this is Nevermore so why couldn't there be ghosts among the other "monsters?" Great reaction like always!!

Absolutely loved this show and I was surprised at how much I loved it. I think the acting all around was just great. It’s a fun and campy show and I cannot wait to watch it with y’all when the next season drops. Loved your reactions and commentary as always!

If you pay close attention goody gets a weird creepy smile on her face when she goes into Wednesday
This is one of the best season finales I've seen in a while. Everything wrapped up nicely enough to be okay as just one season, but left enough mystery for a second season. The Hug is easily my favorite scene in the episode, but I also LOVE the scene in the police station. Tyler's actor (Hunter, I think?) did SUCH a good job going from upset friend to psychotic monster and back. I'm super excited for season 2, so long as they keep the same writers.
I think Tyler has two personalities. The therapist said she felt like she was talking to a different person when questioning Tyler about his mother. And his eyes change. He looked almost sad after gloating too. But the biggest tip is the name "Tyler" itself, as in Tyler Durden (fight club).
That said, I love that Enid defeats the Hyde and Wednesday hugs her back at the end.

Funny how Crackstone still considers himself pure and righteous, and yet he is literally a black magic wielding zombie reanimated by outcast magic.
Bianca told her Mom she would come back to the cult to help while school was on break. Since school is closing early due to the attack and the principals death Bianca will have longer to aid her Mom but once the new school year begins she said her mother and the cult would be officially out of her life for good.
I still feel that Weems was killed off because Gwendoline Christie may have only wanted to do a single season as a way to get away from being typecast as a female warrior, like Brianne of Tarth. And she may have been hoping for other roles in the future. That said, it seems to me that a 6'3" female actress may have difficulty finding acting jobs, given that most actresses are considerably shorter. Weems was a perfect role for GC since as an outcast, an overly tall actress works in the role.
So fun watching with you. Always love your insight.
I too can’t believe Weems is gone! On one hand I get that they wanted to show the stakes and loss, on the other hand the last episode was so packed it felt like it didn’t do her dying justice, especially given how great GC’s performance was and the potential of Weem’s character. Not to mention how much Jenna and GC enjoy working together! They would need to bring a very good actor to fill GC’s shoes. Maybe they could resurrect Weems (I mean they did bring back Crackstone) or bring her back as a ghost? It is a supernatural school after all.
Here's a thought for you... what if Morticia becomes the new Headmistress of Nevermore?
One more question is, what exactly is Xavier's ability. Yes, we know that his drawings/paintings can come into life, but what is it about his dreams, if he really saw what he painted (the monster, the cave, dead Kimbott) in his dreams.
Remember she promised Thing that when she found who stabbed him she would hurt them a long time, so I don't think she killed Thornhill/Laurel but instead kicked her several times until she was unconcious & thought that being imprisoned knowing she failed would be further torture.
I have 1 thought about who is spying on Wednesday & maybe used Laurel, but it's way out there so I'm not gonna say it for now.
the deal with the mother was for the end of the school year they just shorten the semester so technicly they could had a second semester of the same year after vacation
Wednesday started during the second semester that’s why they had to make an exception for her. so this was the end of the year.

It sucks that Weems died, but it could be interesting for them to use the headmaster role as something akin to the DatDA teacher in the Harry Potter books, have a new, really good, actor/actress every season
I think Miss Weems might return given she appeared in the comic panel and they might not want to kill off a somewhat legacy character so easily.
There is a rumour going around FB that the new principal at Nevermore will be played by none-other than Anjelica Houston!
Loved the reaction. I would like to point out that Enid didn't walk away unscathed. The hyde scratched her face and when she and Wednesday are in wheems office she still has gashes on the left side of her face. I wonder if she will still be scared in season 2. Next question if she is scarred will that affect her self confidence? if it does will it be Wednesday who helps her seeing she has a few new scars of her own as well? I think Wednesday will see scars as beautiful or a badge of honor. What do you guys think?

This is amazing I full heartedly agree with every compliment Jenna Ortega got from you but I say that counts for all the other actors and actresses especially those who played the "Kids" as well. And I'm sure in a Cast like this, by the reactions I've seen by the faces and names regonized if they hadn't scenes together the younger acotrs and actresses might liked to watch, if possible, to older Ladies and Gentelmen to "learn from them" in the art of "acting".

You did a good job figuring out certain puzzle pieces on just your first viewing. To date,I have watched the series 12 times and picked up a new puzzle piece each time. There's one piece I still have not found,so it's on to number 13. I'm determined to solve it on my own,so I won't share it,yet. Enjoyed your reviews. We don't know if Christina Ricci's character is dead, all we seen was Wednesday boot her. So she might still be the one pulling the strings and taking the pictures. One early clues that Thornhill was Laurel Gates is that her brother tried using deadly nightshade on the outcasts and Thornhill was always interested in exotic and deadly plants, she probably got that fascinating from her family.
If it took the blood moon to trigger Enid's transformation that would explain it as they do not happen in a specific area very often unless one only needs a partial.

This show is really entertaining,well wrritten and acted and watching your reactions made me like it even more :) Enid and Wednesday's hug was the best moment of this finale,when Wednesday finally accepted it's ok to have friends and show emotion,a little bit ;) Can't wait to watch season 2 with you :)

27:58 "What the hell is that staff made of?" I'm sure it's strong but I'm sure it's the sword that was the problem. Wednesday uses a fencing sword, it's lightweight and flexible.
This sword is heavy, solid, and can break if hit the wrong way.
Wednesday being good at fencing helps a bit but in no way would it help her know how to hit/block the right way.
Do werewolves hunt in a pack, like real wolves? That would give the werewolves a good chance of taking down a hyde, even without the sheriff's pistol getting involved.

Omg I have watched so many reaction videos about this amazing series but still I haven’t heard anyone comment on the music that Wednesday listens too while she is writing 🤔. Personally I love the songs they are using bc they help show that Wednesday is such a passionate person that loves with her whole heart even if she doesn’t show it on the outside 😂.

Waiiit… I suddenly realized something.. The ‘toe-curling tschotshki’ is for ‘conjuring spirits’ Note it doesn’t specifically mention whò’s spirit… Soooo.. It would be a great McGuffin to bring Weems back, as a ghost. It’s Nevermore, so a ‘Ghost -Principal’ probably wouldn’t faze ànyone there. The writers admitted they already had plotted 3 seasons. Wouldn’t it be fun if Wednesday had a séance and accidentally brought Weems back as a spectre, but nobody realizing the séance worked? ‘Strange noises and mutterings from the Principal’s office’ would be funny/creepy. Just blabbering here, but it would be a cool twist on Weems’ death.

I vote for Cousin It as principal. There are several minor continuity errors you'll notice on the second watch. Plus there are absurdities like the one you pointed out in this, that the clerk at the Sheriff's office wasn't able to overheard any of Wednesday's and Tyler's conversation. The major's SUV hatch slamming shut with him walking toward the vehicle close enough to hear that. The pictures that fell out of the bottom of Laurel's music box had a picture of Wednesday, Tyler and Enid in Tyler's car the same night they were going to the Gates manson where Wednesday and Enid found the music box.

I feel like we might see a redemption arc for Tyler in the second season. If his loyalty to Laurel was forced by his Hyde nature, then we might be able to address the question of what happens to a Hyde who outlives its master. It could create some interesting tension as even if he's on Wednesday's side next season, she'll have a hard time believing it.
I guess since Tyler has no master now, Wednesday could take up the role. Then it would be a platonic relationship

It's true Tyler was forced to bevome a monster, but at the police station he told Wednesday that he enjoyed the power it gave him, to see the fear in the eyes of his victims.

Sure, having a different headmaster next season will provide a new authority figure for Wednesday to rebel against...but still. GC will be hard act to follow.
Still have a weird soft spot for Tyler. He was used horribly by Thornhill. Admittedly, being a serial killer is tough to come back from but still hope he can somehow be "saved".

I've watched people react to this probably 8 times and I don't know why just now The beginning of the torture scene was totally given me Dexter vibes. And if you've never seen Dexter may I suggest that on the channel.

My prediction is that Thornhill is the stalker because right when Wednesday gets the text and pictures you see Tyler transforming into the Hyde and besides she’s the only one who can control Tyler, not to mention she only got stung by a whole bunch of bees 🐝 and we didn’t see her get arrested either. But another option could be Tyler’s dad.
Also although we see principle Weems die we don’t see a funeral so since this show has fantasy elements in it we can’t say she is dead for sure.
I want to know about the ring that seemed to give Craster supernatural powers.
More and more people are catching on to the implications of Goody passing into Wednesday. I think it'll have an interesting impact on S2. Imagine Wednesday with a split personality. Her normal dark self and a potentially darker Goody.

I really enjoyed all your reactions, and I thoroughly enjoyed this series, the hug at the end made me cry! The only 2 questions I had was: Crackstone was not established as having magical powers before, did he become a sorcerer after death? And, if Goody knew that Crackstone can only be truly vanquished by stabbing him through his heart, why didn’t she do it when she killed him the first time instead of sealing him in a sarcophagus?
He very well could have been a sorcerer but we just didn’t know (yet)
For the second part, it could be due to the spell that was used to resurrect him needing to be beaten that way. The big question is about the ring and where his smoke/ash dissipated to

Thanks for watching this. 1. I was very disappointed that the writer's did not differential Tyler/Jekyll vs Tyler/Hyde and made him out to be a simplistic villain in his reveal. In early episodes they convey an emotional conflicted person trying to make better choices, and regretting past choices, who screams underwater in despair. Walking all that complexity back by rolling him out as a villian, (all he is missing is the moustache to twirl) is a real disservice to the writing and story.
2. I did not catch Thornhill's wig as a huge clue (hiding her past hairstyle and/or color) until after seeing the series a few times and hearing someone ponder it.
3. I think Miss Weems is coming back. She was a semi-legacy character as she appeared in the comic in 1956. She looks very similar to how she appeared in that comic panel and they did a marvelous job of fleshing out a character for her in this iteration of the Addams Family.
4. I loved the Scooby Doo references as the Addams guest stared on the series.
5. I wondered why they never mentioned why Xavier was drawing that raven (Wednesday I figure) on the wall or why he didn't animate any of his art in the fight.

Her death seemed too abrupt compared with the other storytelling in the show. So I feel like either she'll somehow be back, or her death was a last minute edit to write the actress off for non-show reasons.
40:53 I agree, I know some fans disagree but imho Tyler became much more interesting after his villainous turn. Tyler seems like the Grant Ward character of the show: sympathetic circumstances but evil due to his own decisions. There’s potential for him to be “redeemed” but I honestly prefer him as a villain who’s smart enough to manipulate Wednesday and strong enough to be a force to be reckoned with.
I've very much enjoyed rewatching this along with you two!! My theory for the stalker is the merman with the black eye. Wednesday humiliated several times. It's going to be a long wait until season 2!!
I would hope Weems is her Lucifer character from episode 4 of the Sandman. So she cant die and Lucifer is a shape shifter..Her fireplace could be a portal to hell..Lucifer would protect nevermore as some of the outcasts could be future demons for Lucifer's army?
Or it could be Gwendolyn Christie has a larger part in Sandman "Seasons of the Mist" next year and not have time for Wednesday again.
I've heard that it's a possibility that Morticia Addams that will be the next headmistress for nevermore in season 2 which if they go that route so they'll have a story that centers on the Addams family as a whole while also having a new murder mystery for Wednesday to figure out with other stories as well
