So refreshing to watch reactors that actually Listen to what they're watching.... Instead of trying to be rockstars with dumb comments.

She nailed Wednesday
Not only did she nail it, she actually changed the aspects of the character and dialog (without consent) from what it was intended to be to be darker and more true to the Wednesday character, as Jenna Ortega was an Addams family fan, long before getting the role. As a result of that and its resulting success, they made her an executive producer.
Ophelia is also Morticia's twin sister.
There are a number of easter eggs in this show, a number of which appear in the coffee shop but many many others. Jenna has created an iconic character that is amazing. And the soundtrack is basically epic. Cello cover of Paint it Black in this episode and more stuff to come.
Ahhh.. but did you know that the cut Wednesday gets in her fencing duel is an easter egg? And where it comes from?

Wednesday's middle name is Friday; whereas Wednesday's child is full of woe, Fridays child is loving and giving... so it comes as no surprise that she tries to help even though she's "full of woe," since she's born on Friday 13th.
The psychologist is one of the duo Garfunkel and Oats, Riki Lindholm, (as Garfunkel) who sing some wonderfully raunchy songs including "The Loophole" and "Weed Card" (two of my favorites).
Christina Ricci is great as the botanist...

Love that it’s only one episode and you’re already shipping Wednesday and Enid more than the boys there. It’s funny as from various interviews none of the young cast seems keen on the “boy crush love triangle” aspect as well. More of a corner than a triangle really…

This was a great series. I'm looking forward to season 2. I lived the humor of Wednesday, watched 2 times and on second go through, and found even jokes I missed the first time. Watching the original in 1966 focused on all members of the family. This series focuses on Wednesday, which is really different.
"Every single iteration of the Addam's Family- Thing has, hands down, been my favorite character" ... Hands down. Ha. 😁
I love this about Tim Burton 👌 with the sirens he wanted the scales to be realistic but not noticeably fake so he had the make-up artist use stencils to airbrush the scales on the actors who are sirens so watch in certain lights and angles you can see it!! "Thing" is actually the hand of an actor.. I forget his name
such Great dark deadpan humor in the series and jenna delivers it soo well make the whole series great i am so hoping for a series 2....
Not gonna lie, now that I see it, Gomez and Tish remind me an awful lot of...you two. Just an amazing couple, in sync, etc. Seeing it side by side just makes it jarring lol

The show reminds me of a goth version of Nancy Drew.
Everyone thinks it's a fourth wall break. you can see that she's looking past the camera down the trail that leads to Nevermore.
I love this reaction video. You two often asked the quotation or made the comment just before someone seems in the show did. That is just amazing. Though I had to subscribe for the "you don't think she gonna crush on Enid?" line. And the following if there is a love interest let it be Enid! (Still hoping for that in s2)

"Ophellia Hall" is a reference to the Adsams family show in 1964 when Ophelia was Morticia's sister and the parents of both Gomez and Morticia wanted Gomez to marry Opheliq but instead Gomez fell in love with Morticia

They put so much personality into a HAND. Thing is the best of us.
You're right, Jenna Ortega does SUCH an amazing job telling us about the character in her movements alone. The precision (as you say) and the sense that she would just walk over anything in her way. No movement is superfluous. It's a small detail, but it really helps to solidify Wednesday's character.

The casting for all of this series is excellent.
It took me WAY too long to click that the "stoners" were gorgons, and then I facepalmed and laughed for like 5 minutes.

Learning that Weems and Morticia were roommates, I figured that their relationship was much like that developing between Enid and Wednesday.
That lady with the hiker really reminds me of the harbinger at the beginning of Cabin in the Woods. Which given that that character was an intentional archetype, it makes sense that she fills the same sort of role.
I hope you guys watched all of these in advance of releasing them, because there will be spoilers in the comments. I've seen it happen to every reactor that didn't finish the show before putting out videos.

Someone pointed out that the woman that drop off the kid in the wood, from the beginning of the show. Is a reference to Big Marge from Tim Burton's Pee Wee Herman. Theres tones of easters eggs of Tim Burton films in Wednesday.
The writers took such great care in building Wednesday's friendship/relationship with Enid. It would be so rewarding to see them romantically involved by the end of the series. That being said, I don't want romance to overtake Wednesday's journey, but seeing this relationship continue to evolve would be great. They have such great chemistry, and they balance each other out perfectly. ❤
It's not often I sub to a channel the first time I encounter them. But the two of you already show considerably more insight and understanding of 'Wednesday' than most reactors I've seen so far.

The creator of the origila comic strip wanted to create a comic about a fammily that was complete oposit of a "normal family" that why Mortcia and Gomez are so in love, almost to the point of obssesion, why she takes revenge on what happened to puggsly, why her parents suport her torturing him and why he likes it. And why when it comes to it they are loyal to each other. Also I love all the Edgar Allan Poe refrences.
