Fun/Heartwarming/Slightly-Saddening Fact: Gwendoline Christie said that this was the first screen production she has starred in where she truly felt beautiful 🥹 She said that this was owed to the length of collaboration that was extended to her in crafting her character!
She also said that usually they don't let her put vibrant lipstick etc or eyeshadow apart of normal shooting makeup for cameras but for this role she could and loved it.

Thora Birch was going to play the role, but she had to leave for family and health issues, so they took the opportunity to bring Ricci back. You might notice that she's alone on screen in several shots, and digitally inserted into others, to save time on the scenes that had already been filmed with Birch.

this show was such a pleasant surprise for me! as a longtime fan of the Addams Family franchise, I was cautious about the series when I heard about it but Jenna Ortega knocks it out of the park as Wednesday. in addition, the overall mystery is done very well imo because they do a great job of making you pretty much suspicious of everyone; makes for some great sleuthing! I really hope you get the right amount of views so you can continue reacting to this season. I look forward to your thoughts on the season as a whole ❤

As a fan of the Adamm's Family, you will be glad to hear they've announced a season 2 for 2024 that will involve the family members more in that second season. So they'll get more screen time.
It was the '92 cartoon that got me into the franchise tbh. I think I've seen the 90's movies, but a re-watch might be in order lol. Loved this show, even with it being a teen drama sort of thing. They made it work without compromising too much of the weirdness.

It was a great surprise to see you were going to do a reaction to Wednesday and it was a joy to watch. Wednesday is easily one of the best new shows this year and one I'd been waiting for since the original announcement that Tim Burton was doing an Addams Family show for Netflix. This is also one show where its worth watching the end credits right to the end at least once. Hopefully you'll react to the entire series because its brilliant.
It is not like she does not work on her nails, is just when she wolves they maintain color. She mentions at a point later she had forgot her bottle of silver nail polish, and also doing manicure .

This series is soo well done. The monster’s hair gave me an idea who it was, turns out it was correct, but the show does so well on having red herrings, making you distrust people, and the story line draws you in you begin questioning who is doing what and who is really who. You are going to love this!
When I watched this episode I laughed when she held up the two bags of Piranhas and Yes I know someone got horrible injured but I laughed and from what I have seen so far I am really enjoying Wednesday, I hope her room mate will wolf out. YES! You are going to love this: I've never been a fan of the Adams Family, never got the appeal of it, but was intrigued by the buzz of the Wednesday series (And the fact that series producer Gandja Monteiro has been snatched by Marvel to possibly direct Agatha Harkness: Coven of Chao) and I wasn't half way through the first episode when I saw the greatness of the show (It's like a Goth/Monstrous version of Harry Potter... And Yet I HATE Harry Potter! Tells you how good this show is!). The cast is amazing!
I liked the show, but I wasn't crazy about this version of Gomez. He lacked confidence and didn't really come across as the successful head of the Addams family. He seemed insecure and nervous more than anything else. It was kind of jarring to me that the townspeople seem to know that the Nevermore students aren't exactly human. When the show started, I figured that the fact that the students were werewolves, vampires, sirens, and such was going to be a secret, and that the townspeople would just think that they were weird. It seems like everyone in town knows about them though.
I was always going to watch this, but when I saw Sesska had this reaction up, I had to move up my schedule! Enid gives me such Strong "Willow" from Buffy vibes, it feels like she's her daughter! In fact, there are lots of Buffy vibes to this show, and it's time we had a modern version. I love that the "stoners" are Medusa-types! I'd call them 'snakeheads' but that sounds racist, haha!

Wednesday Addams performing Paint it Black on the cello is life giving.

The fact that Jenna Ortega clearly doesn't know how to play the cello (and neither did anyone else on set) took me out it too much.

Charles Addams gave John Astin the choice of two names for his character in the series in 1964- Gomez, or Repelli. Luiz Guzman is more Repelli.
