For the auto bail drop, I only use that on square bails and flat fields. For hilly areas auto bail drop often allows the bail to roll off somewhere and then it's another chore to go hunting bails. Instead I drop manually against the fall of the field - that way the bail stays put.. The mulcher is good for removing stumps. What's actually amazing is bailing.. you only need 90% to finish the contract and if you mow the grass from the fringe of the field, you can add that to your collection.. the extra bails can give you up to 3x the profit you should make on the contract itself..
Gathering that grass in from the fringe of the field is a bit difficult. I recommend getting a forwarder for that option. If I recall correctly, on number three. When you are reversing you can use 1 and 2 to lower the maximum allowed reverse speed. Very handy for when you only have a keyboard and mouse and want to do some precision reversing
if you reverse and lower the cruisecontrol speed it sets your backing up speed to whatever it is, so if you hold 1 while reversing on PC to lower cruise control speed while reversing you could in theory go down to 1 KPH reversing and it will never exeed it. There are multiple major things in 22 that they completely did a way better job on that other games but I think the more simple things like being able to rename buildings are such a huge help. I mean I get it that there are people that play this game all around the world and not all of them speak English but there are guys out there that make maps that they usually named stuff in their own language. So to be able to jump onto the map and change it from like German or polish words and actually named them what they are is incredibly useful. Especially for Missions. Like Transportation missions are so difficult when you are being told your mission information in full on German. I mean I'm German but I can't understand it that well.
@@blakerwalknot to assume anything about OP but that’s probably pretty common. I know some people who are from other countries but have been in the US for years to the point where they forget their native tongue. I don’t think when they say they’re “German” that they’re currently living in Germany and have done their whole lives.
@@Fetidaf It's rather uncommon here in Germany but quite common for Americans to self-identify as German, even if they don't speak the language, understand the cultures and history of Germany etc. Entirely losing comprehension in your first language is highly unlikely. I mean, a person from anywhere with any background can be German in any sense of the word (citizenship, cultural norms, language use, etc.) - it should be seen as an inclusive identity. But there is a certain oddity with folks from the US claiming identities of places with which they have no tangible connection.
@@blakerwalk no one said anything about entirely losing comprehension. And the reason for that “oddity” is pretty obvious. America is largely populated by immigrants from a somewhat short period of time and immigrants tend to not forget everything about themselves when they come over. For instance; my grandparents were born in Germany and of course their parents were German. That changed how they would’ve been brought up compared to someone who was Irish or Russian or Chinese or whatever else. Nowadays that doesn’t really matter so much but it’s still a small part of my family’s identity. That’s why we are where we are and why many of us do what we do… we don’t have an ancestral connection to America but we have one to Europe as do many others around me. If I spoke to a person from Spain then their upbringing would likely be vastly different from mine.
You wrote "they forget their native tongue", which I interpret to mean a loss of language comprehension. Aside from that strange line of argument, any rational person would not disagree with what you've written. The oddity lies in the degree to which (even distant) ancestry is canonised. Many Europeans are sceptical of ancestry as the basis of identity construction, parhaps in part due to the long history of racism here, whilst analogues in north america are just now being openly presented to the general public. I don't disagree with you essentially. I'm suggesting that there is much more nuance to identity construction than many americans are willing and able to admit.
Instead of using the mulcher to remove bushes use the paint tool!!! It’s amazing on clearing bushes just paint some grass and it won’t mess up the land at all and makes clearing trees out so so much easier

One thing about the reverse speedometer that I found out- if you are going backwards and go to change your cruise control speed, you can actually set how fast you want to reverse, if 14mph is too fast for you, you can make it 9. Found this out on accident!
I cant wait to play it. Im get the game today. Late buy it due moving. Now we are living on a farm full time. They cut down trees all time here. Sounds just like it dose on the game now.
Farmer Cop one thing I have also noticed about going in reverse aside from the speed change you can lower your speed when going in reverse with the number one key and bring it back up with the number to key just like how you can alter the speed when going forward
Might want to start with the fact that a forestry mulcher creates fields, and can even plough the field in one go (if you lower the rake like thing on top).
Remember that the super awsome thing with that it's changeing to your recersing speed. Is that you can limit your reversing speed with the same buttons as for the cruse control
With number 3 i think the speed shown on the lower section is the cruise setting speed, set it at 20mph and hit cruise and it will hold that speed. I could be wrong though.
Haven't tested it fully, but noticed that as my cultivator got more damage it started turning up a lot more rocks on the field. Damage on the tractors does lower the speed at which you can pull implements. As far as paint, it's just cosmetic so I'm glad it's a separate thing from repair. Especially since except for selling equipment, I like to allow max paint deterioration to feel like my machinery has been heavily used.
you can wipe bushes with painting grass over them, not the ground texture but the plants. will have to try the mulcher on trees they are a pain in places
Arh man.. wish I would have known about the mulcher and shroppery. I had to really balance a garage into a tiny area, so it wouldn't ruin working on the field next to it
They need a feature that makes your guy turn faster , and not like he's just had neck surgery. I have to do this in and out trick with the thumb sticks and R2 to make it faster.
Quick question: is it possible to strap pallets together on trailers? So far, I don't know which button it is, so they keep sliding on the trailer. I'm on PC by the way.
@@multidragonass Yeah, it seems that some trailers/pickup truck didn’t have the option to strap the pallets, while some others did have it. Thanks for answering!
I just wish they would add a way to park a trailer outside the store, and whatever you buy goes automatically into the trailer instead of having to load myself.
I just wish the "everything fastens down" applied to the pickup truck. I mean finally, there's a pallet you can lift with your hands (eggs).. but you can only transport 2 at a time cause the straps won't latch onto them. ;-;
Actually if you like them up the straps will grab the top ones. The problem is that the pallet has to be above the strap to register so for example if you put lettuce in a truck even thou the lettuce is past the top it won’t rehearse but a second pallet on top of that it will register (the wood pallet itself needs to be a bit the strap level.
WHYYYY if you can mulch the bushes don’t the mowers drop them yet. Wish grasslands would slowly populate with big weeds and bushes when they aren’t regularly mown and each time it’s mowed less grow back until the grass is well maintained again.
@@schmid1.079 shrubs and bushes that stem from noxious weeds certainly do get mown, slashed rather but same same. Either way it would be nice if grass grew big weeds and shrubs etc over time if not maintained. The more often you mow the cleaner the grass, less mowing more weeds and shrubs.
Yeah, the game looks great, they keep adding features and improving the visuals with every new release but, they still cant seem to fix the annoying little things that bug me and make me not play the game, not to mention the steering (with keyboard) i found that some vehicles steer slower or faster than others which makes it very hard to get used to. I havent checked yet if rain is falling through roofs of buildings but i hope it doesnt.
A little addition to number 3: you can use the cruise control up/down buttons to increase or decrease your maximum speed in reverse. I don’t believe you can use cruise control in reverse though. A cool feature that I love is that you’re able to harvest corn 2 growth stages earlier than the “ready to harvest” stage if you are chopping it with a forage harvester. Not sure if there’s any type of yield benefit, but it is certainly more realistic as we do actually harvest corn a couple weeks earlier if we are making silage with it

So to be able to jump onto the map and change it from like German or polish words and actually named them what they are is incredibly useful. Especially for Missions. Like Transportation missions are so difficult when you are being told your mission information in full on German. I mean I'm German but I can't understand it that well.
You're german but don't understand german?
That only works on land you own, the mulcher works everywhere :)
I've been playing fs for years and didn't know you could change building colors.... Thank you
1) Already Knowed that. And i use it a lot.
2) Wow nice.
3) Already Knowed that.
4) Already Knowed that. I use it to rename the farm home.
5) Nice ;)
6) Figured it out 2 weeks ago.
7) That 3th silo i snapped together like 1 hour ago.
8) Heard that yesterday for the first time.
9) This is a truely pain in the ass.
10) Known. Use it a lot.
Btw nice vid
Had no idea about the bushes but I definitely know of some bushes that are about to die here soon. :)
That mulching feature will be nice for creating roads for my forestry map. It's a pain trying to paint a road through trees. 😅
If you use 120cm baler and 120cm bale loader you can load 14 pieces of 120cm bales to a 240cm bale loader wagon. Nice feature too
I love that when you drive into a building the sound echoes.
I thought I would know all of these but some of them were new to me and useful. Thank you
I've been playing this game for 2 months and I didn't even know 6 of these items. Thanks!
For the last one, you can use the terraform tool and just paint it with grass, it doesn't use money but the bushes dissappear ;D
You cant paint on areas you dont own thats why this trick is helpful if you wanna remove bushes somewhere the map does not let you buy
My favorite small feature is the wiper sounds
I hate that wipers haha, its just making me nervous. If they only made drops on glass it would be great
i honestly think the title should have been "10 things i love about farming simulator 22" :P
Is it just me or does it sound like I'm getting tips on Farming from Kermit the frog? Lol
No way, you can color the buildings? I had no idea. Thanks!
For number ten I am always using the lizard trex600, it removes bushes and trees really easy and it doesn’t make fields
Old video I know, but to tag with #2 you can set how fast you can reverse (as you do with cruise control)
Farmer Cop one thing I have also noticed about going in reverse aside from the speed change you can lower your speed when going in reverse with the number one key and bring it back up with the number to key just like how you can alter the speed when going forward
the bottom is your cruise control speed setting.1 and 2 change it down and up respectively, but 3 activates the cruise control
it's not max speed
IRL you don't run straps over a vehicle, just to the frame in some way
Typically it's not straps unless it's a small machine. Otherwise it's chains and binders.
@@aaronsanborn4291 I was going to say the exact same thing.
Very good point
Might want to start with the fact that a forestry mulcher creates fields, and can even plough the field in one go (if you lower the rake like thing on top).
Remember that the super awsome thing with that it's changeing to your recersing speed. Is that you can limit your reversing speed with the same buttons as for the cruse control
The reverse speedometer you can actually increase and decrease and it will reverse at the selected speed (its veeeery helpful)
Removing bushes on land I DON'T OWN is nice! Thank you!
With number 3 i think the speed shown on the lower section is the cruise setting speed, set it at 20mph and hit cruise and it will hold that speed. I could be wrong though.
It is the cruise control speed setting, but the cruise control is by default set to the max speed so can be used to see the max speed you can go
The best (and maybe cheaper than buying the mulcher) way i found to get rid of bushes is using the paint tool.
The attention to detail by Giants sets this game apart
I love that how more field you have how more you can loan
I stop playing fs19 for years! Now it’s time to come back!
Great video you can also paint the bushes out with grass in landscape mode 👏👏👍👍
Are some of the functions PC only?
I believe everything that was shown today is available on all platforms... may have issues between platforms as Giants fix some known bugs :)
So they are basically quality of life features. Nice 😊
question does paint or repairs effect yield or anything in anyway ?
Most likely at least repair does for harvesters, it did in 19, to be tested in 22
Haven't tested it fully, but noticed that as my cultivator got more damage it started turning up a lot more rocks on the field. Damage on the tractors does lower the speed at which you can pull implements. As far as paint, it's just cosmetic so I'm glad it's a separate thing from repair. Especially since except for selling equipment, I like to allow max paint deterioration to feel like my machinery has been heavily used.
Wow thank u i didn't know some of those
That mulching to clear bushes is mad! 😂
Painting your vehicles red makes them go faster
you can wipe bushes with painting grass over them, not the ground texture but the plants. will have to try the mulcher on trees they are a pain in places
if you want too use the mulcher but it creates fields you can use the paint tool to remove fields
Arh man.. wish I would have known about the mulcher and shroppery.
I had to really balance a garage into a tiny area, so it wouldn't ruin working on the field next to it
Forestry is a nightmare on this game every now and then my trees get weird textures and won't allow me to cut to length.
Trees have weird collisions as well.
Thought the title was a bit clickbaity but I actually didn't know 8 out of 10 things on this list! A like and sub for you sir!
I was worried it would seem that way, i honestly do try to avoid that on my channel, glad you enjoyed the video!
Good watch cob
Im a farmer that plays this and actually found it useful thumbs up 👍
Bro! I wish I knew about the painting buildings before I built my farm 🤣
As long as you place pallets on a flat deck trailer ,,,should be able to strap them down using the L button on PC
All of these, once were used to them for a year or so if we go back to 19 we’ll wonder how we survived without them.
Finally found a RUclipsr who doesn't complain about the new farmsim.
I just wish the "everything fastens down" applied to the pickup truck. I mean finally, there's a pallet you can lift with your hands (eggs).. but you can only transport 2 at a time cause the straps won't latch onto them. ;-;
Actually if you like them up the straps will grab the top ones.
Well, you wouldnt mow bushes in real life I guess. Thats just going to damage the machine. But you can actually mow deco foliage now.
@@schmid1.079 shrubs and bushes that stem from noxious weeds certainly do get mown, slashed rather but same same.
Either way it would be nice if grass grew big weeds and shrubs etc over time if not maintained. The more often you mow the cleaner the grass, less mowing more weeds and shrubs.
if he tried for VA only, he can do Kermit.
So loving the game just wish the vineyards had more depth but wine is new to the sim so I understand.
I had to start using my controller for driving and stuff. Pick up a cheap one that's compatible and save your keyboard (and hand).
Not sure if there’s any type of yield benefit, but it is certainly more realistic as we do actually harvest corn a couple weeks earlier if we are making silage with it
The reverse speed is really supposed to show the speed of your cruise control rather than the top speed
Gives it the sims vibe love it
I remove bushes with the paint(grass) feature. I also tidy up the edges. It looks so much cleaner 😬
The benefit of the mulcher is you can do it to bushes you do not own, but you can only paint on land you own :)
What do you play on?
I just found out today about painting the ground😂 I’ve been plowing roads since fs 15… game CHANGER
That "reverse speedometer" is actually your cruise control setting. That's the speed it would set your cruise control to if you toggled it on.
ive been playing all year and had no idea you could change the color of buildings
Morning farmer cop
Do you think they will ever add hunting or fish farming to this game? Or add exotic animals that we can add to our farm and take care of to earn money. I would like to see them add a bunk house where we can hire two permanent farm hands.
I just thought of this I think it'd be interesting if they added some flowers that we could plant and then could experiment to see if we could come up with new plants.
That would be cool but I doubt it will get added
Timber and strap it down on the way to where ever you take it now.
The slope is awesome. Figures I watch this after spending money on a ramp lol
