Accepting Tea Turns To Crazy Experience In Fiji | South Pacific Tour | Cycling World

- I was resting at the supermarket in Fiji street while cycling. Then local people invited me at the tea at her house. And it turns to crazy experience which I've never had in my ten years world cycling trip such as watching man climbing coconut tree without anything and catching octopus by hand and seeing local fishing with a bottle and fishing line.

I’m sooo proud to be a Fijian. Feeling Home sick watching this in New York.
I am so proud to be in Fiji! Lako mai ki vale!
Boarders open....
Same here
I feel you bradda
I never hear once, when I retired...freaking this is living instead of working plus 40 hours and get high blood pressure, heart problems, stress so you can have a bunch a stuff that you over pay and will devalued immediately and one day you die and you worked for someone else and you did not get to see how beautiful and simple these people live and they are happy. Everyone is smiling, they congregate and know where their food is coming from and they teach the young ones to do the same. Great smiles, great sounds, great hospitality, great humanity. Thank you so much for posting this one...what an amazing experience is the magic of bicycle touring.
Totally agree 👍
💯💯 to have that mindset is a blessing
@@thinkabout602 Yesss! 💯I'm quiting my 9 to 5 job here in Europe and going to Fiji soon! That's how we Humans should live.. Eat healthy food and a never ending sun. ☀️
@@jnavsslick3764 You're always welcome!
Bula Jin that’s my family that invited you for tea. I didn’t expect to see my village and my aunt to greet you and invite you for tea. Missing home seeing this! ♥️ All the from the US 🇺🇸
Really? What nice people your family are! I would miss home too if it was that beautiful.
In Fiji, we all are connected with love❤️ Thank you for meeting your family! They were so generous and it was eye opening experience for me!
@@universewithme I just got off the phone with them now. They told me about your trip to Fiji and exploring plans. Isa Vinaka Jin I am proud to have my family host you for that moment in time ♥️
@@gregmuon For us all foreigners come to fiji as inquisitive strangers and leave as one of our family members for life ❤️
@@user-jc8dy2sl7k I can totally understand how it is so!! I feel like can I go live with them? They feel like family just from me watching it! Hahaha. 💜💜💜💜 loveliest people on the planet. Such a beautiful family. :)
5000 year old supermarket. No chemicals in the food. Not many people in the world today have access to such luxury.
I like that they feed the kids first .
I had tears in my eyes. Fijian people really do have the biggest hearts in the world ❤️❤️
the best informative segment of life in rural living in Fiji .....they the Fijian people live up as being generous friendly kind people that welcome a stranger to their home! Love the comment .....Supermarket in our back yard and he was not kidding
Vinaka vakalevu to the Family that welcomed you into their home wholeheartedly. Humility and love purely portrayed towards a stranger in a foreign country. A true Fijian spirit displaying compassion towards others. I'm proud to be a Fijian. Vinaka Saka na yalo savu.
With every episode of Fiji, I (and many others I'm sure) are developing a great respect for the native people of this island. They are so warm, pure and uncomplicated in their thoughts and souls. The man who offered you a banana was no less than the family who gave you a rich heritage experience.
If you have their phone numbers, please let them know that many like us appreciates these humble souls and sends them prayers and blessings.
May you continue to have a safe journey.
The family from the video have told me they have enjoyed watching this video and it made them laughed. I am glad everybody enjoyed it :)
@@universewithme great, I hope they have read my comments.
Amen, jin you are such a blessing to not only to that family but to the rest of Fiji, the way the world should be. Amen enjoy your travels and God’s blessings and safe journey.
Thank you so much for sharing our culture and hospitality to the world. I am a fijian...living in Fiji still. Please dont forget to come back and visit us. 🌱🍌🍉 there used to be an advertisement by our national carrier ...formerly known as Air Pacific...the saying goes "Fiji...the way, the world should be" It goes way beyond our imaginations...but to actually be here and feel it.. is all that you need to experience our lifestyle..
I live in Seattle, USA. Fiji born and raised. I am so missing home right now watching this video. The simple life, no worries, enjoying an abundance of natures wonderful gifts. And so grateful that Fijis education system ensures that students must pass English to pass exams. As we can see here, these young men, and the elders speak so good English - it really helps to break communication barriers. Awesome videos.
Yes our legs used to that. The feet of islanders. 😎
Fiji looks beautiful and people are so kind
Wow you are very lucky to experience Fijian hospitality and culture. Such generous people.
what a great experience for her! the villagers in Fiji are friendly and accomodating, you can never get lost in Fiji, people speak English and very helpful!
I am watching your video now and i couldnt wait, i have to say that trick with the shell and whistling to get the bait out the shell.. i loved that! Ive been a fisherman all my life im 34 now and thats new to me...thank you
Not one piece of rubbish/garbage in this video. Sooo natural. Brilliant video!!!
You can't buy that kind of experience....wonderful
I stumbled upon your first clip when leaving Nadi and camping out the front yard of that wonderful family on that first night. I was hoping you'd be open and eager to do the same as you cycled further towards Suva. Villagers and homes along the way will be more then happy to host you for the day or night. It is just the way Fiji is. Genuine, Welcoming and with big hearts. They may not have much in possession but they will willingly share it with you. God Bless you.
Amazing! Those people are living a great life. They probably don’t have much, and yet they have everything they need. And that awesome view. 🙂
I was teary watching this. Fijian people are absolutely wonderful. Thank you for sharing your experience with the world ❤️
Tourists generally spend thousands coming to Fijis hotels but not experience this authentic local experience you randomly came across… but it definitely want luck because majority of Fijians are like this
What a wonderful place with wonderful people. It makes me want to go to Fiji. Huge respect for Fiji and Fiji culture.
It's lucky for kids to grow up in a place like this. Heaven is their backyard! ^^ Thank you for sharing your journey Jin.
im from Suva, Fiji and its super cute you are experiencing what most of us did in our childhood 💕
big supermarket indeed! from chili to octopus to coconut, you name them! very nice video. This Fijian family is very hospitable.
Watching this video restores faith in humanity. So good to see happy, relaxed and contented people. The problems in the rest of the World are so far away from them and they have found happiness.

Lovely vlog looks like Paradise .. Fiji
It is Paradise🥰
Makes me proud being a Fijian...so much love shown....watching from the tiny Tokelau atolls
made my heart full seeing how welcoming the fijians were. God bless
Fijians may seem to have little urban benefits, but at least they don't have to worry about how to put food on the table. Simple way of life. Only problem is it is hard for a civilization to advance technologically. The best thing is you don't have to fight for food when living simply.
It's really a nice experience, if only few people can realize life can be easy even without big supermarket, you had accomplish more than any other with your video. ;)
I want to send some love to Fiji people, they will live much longer than occidental people.
Jin where exactly are you on Viti Levu at the mo? I went to Fiji recently for the first time from Australia and fell in love with it. Wish I was there with you. I also love cycling.

The Fijian mother should be so proud of her family. So kind and awesome
luckiest traveler life there and feel the weather, nature food of thats paradise island💗👏👏👏👍
Skills of the people are in high level. I love them
true poly/mela/micro hospitality. we give what we have with all our heart. just a heads up for any tourist watching this, locals are always so generous and they don't expect anything in return either. but its always courteous to give a little something in return. that can be a little money to help with food or even just buying a couple loaves of bread for breakfast. small things go such a long way. they'll never ask or expect it or even accept it but its the polite/respectful thing to do. some live it poverty some live moderately others live well. overall they live humble lifestyle within their means and such things go such a long way for them.
Fiji the way the world should be..
miss my Fiji 🇫🇯

The rich man asks how one can be so happy and feel one has so much when one is so poor. The poor man wonders how the rich man can say he is happy when he has no skills to feed himself and depends on others for his basic needs.
