This is just an idea from an architect. Architects really like to quick sketch to quickly visualize their ideas.

I had the honor of recently talking with Darren over Zoom about my upcoming home renovation. I was and am obsessed with everything he does so I was hopeful that I could have a piece of his genius for my first home. Unfortunately we couldn't make it work, the fact that I live in Italy didn't help. But I still wanted to attest to his kindness, professionalism and genius. Hopefully I will be able to have Darren's signature on something in the future. Keep up your formidable work

This series is so fun, and Darren Jett has so much range and thinks outside the box. I enjoyed his quick design suggestions.
I was also annoyed with all of the comments about the 3D Renders… of course we all want to see a new beautiful space (for free). Viewers are so demanding! Those renders take time to make, to model the exact 3D furniture, get all the proper shaders and textures in place, light etc… This is not that type of video 🙃 use your imagination! The mood board and sketches are really sufficient 👌

If I have apartment like Mona, I would like to have a big comfy sofa-bed. Although it may not as comfy as full size mattress but I can use it as a livingroom when I have a guest or if I need big space. Or 3 in 1 sofa bed or wall-bed with sofa. The room theme will be greyish white or whitish grey, black or dark brown and some grey shade. And then a full white curtain with dark colour railing. And on the corner, I'll put plant with not too much leaf, prefer a tropical and bedroom friendly one to live up the room. I'll keep the computer table, but maybe vanity-work combo table with a floor lamp beside the table will be so much better. If I have enough space, I'll use a two different carpet. A fit normal size teal or dark cyan or sherpa blue carpet for the bed area, and a small one for the table area.

These ideas are great, but significant price tags that go along with executing it. I'm about to do a fireplace room with a TV, when you add a nice couch and an ottoman, 1700, tables, 500-900, coffee table, another 500-1200, etc. If you're not buying made to assemble Walmart crap, it's about 5-12 k to upgrade a living room. And realize none of this adds resale value to the house, so it's like vacation money, it needs to be categorized as vacation/indulgence money, it's not adding new cabinets or countertops.

Personally I do not see why designers have an issue with TV's within their design. We all have them in our media savvy world. Aesthetically, well designed TV's cost a fortune so what's this 'trend' of denying their place within a room. I do get the "hung high over the fireplace" thing though.
I always tend to hang a TV quite low (sofa eye level), in line with all low profile furniture etc, it also looks better, leaving the above space vacant...and not so dominant in the space or on the eye when not in use.
