You missed a few main points of owning a X100 series over any other Fuji. 1. It’s different philosophy with range finder cameras, framing is different, one lens is restrictive in a creative way 2. X100v has a leaf shutter which opens a whole slew of creative possibilities 3. With additional screw-on filter X100V is water resistant and T30 is not 4. It has better build quality, all metal. Some X models are also metal but X100V is still different because of the above.
One thing nobody ever mentions is a lot of event venues (mainly concerts) don't allow interchangeable lens cameras. The X100V gets around that. Plus, it has a hybrid EVF. I sometimes miss my optical viewfinder from my DSLR
@@jimgunderson6439 If within your means, I would shoot for the XT50. To answer your first question, yes I still enjoy using the XT30ii, it's my EDC camera and very fun to use along with the film simulations and jpeg images it can produce like most Fuji cameras. Just got the x100v at retail and I still think it’s over priced. My wife’s X-E4 with the 27mm pancake lens package for $1000 is the better buy for a small EDC. People spending $2000 to $2500 on eBay for a used x100v is crazy when you can cop an alternative with all the same features for less.

Broooo I watched this video last week… you had me looking into Fuji. So much research circled me back to this video 😂 I also shoot with Sony. But may pickup this x30ii or the T5. Contemplating.
I've owned the X-T30 II for almost two years. I shoot RAW 95% of the time an it's RAW images are just as good as my X-T3 and X-T4 cameras. It's an excellent lightweight camera that's perfect for street photography. I especially like using it with the Fugi 27mm f/2.8 R WR, the Fugi 16mm f/2.8 R WR, and the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8 DC DN Lenses.
Here’s your click bait comment, you’re welcome 😂 they’re entirely different cameras, and the sensor is only part of the story. I own both and I still carry my X100V much more than the XT30ii. That being said, there’s a lot of versatility with interchangeable lens, and I use use the XT30ii when X100V just doesn’t work, such as stabilised videos (with OIS lenses) and when I need the zoom range. The XT30ii does NOT have all the features that the X100V have, most notably, is the killer F2.0 lens (totally different and superior than the very capable XF23 F2.0), a weather sealed compact body, with a built in 4 stops ND and 1/2000 flash sync capable silent mechanical leaf shutter. In a very common scenario when the subject is backlit (by the sun for example), the X100V can take a wide-open photo when the subject still visible with the built in flash. It’s not the most pleasing direct flash, but it’s totally workable in post. To create the same photo with the XT30ii, you’ll need to bring a powerful flash unit with flash sync that would weigh almost a kilo, and almost nobody does that on a trip. Ok, enough praise about the X100V 🤣, but since I have both cameras, I’m at least eligible to give some realistic thoughts. I would add that I’d get the XS20 for video, but I don’t like the articulating screen and the PASM dials (I downgraded from XT4 because of the size and screen) . I really don’t need the power of XT5 , so It’ll be great if Fuji can pack the XS20 power and IBIS in the XT40 In 2024??
I was going to pick one up but there’s a video with a guy saying that it can affect your stills bc of the way you have to push it. And a bunch of people in the comments were agreeing so it turned me off but it looks great
@@TheEverythingMan watched the video, seems like an issue that's wildly exaggerated and if it was actually a problem, Fuji would have already recommended against it.
The 23 f2 is not as good as the lens in the 100v, with xt3 you will miss leafshutte, nd filters built in flash, much worse evf …. but I agree the x100v is expensive, but not leica expensive…..
Stop saying it's better. It's false and you lie. It's simply a different camera with its cons and its pros. X100V offers many features that are missing on X-T30II: built-in flash, built-in ND filter, leaf shutter, slim LCD, hybrid viewfinder, better EVF, weather resistance and so on... X-T30 is a good cam but is not "better".
Ok first off know it all .. the t30II has a built in flash .. the x100v isn’t weather sealed .. it can be made weather resistant with separate optional accessories and Both have a 3” 1.62 million dot lcd. Also, it’s my video and I can say whatever my opinion is. You don’t like it go make you’re own video pal. For the price difference and the fact that you get the same quality results with the option to switch lenses and a huge price difference in my view makes it a better choice between the two.

Got me dying when you moved the frame 😂😂😂
amazing video thank you!!!
I really don’t need the power of XT5 , so It’ll be great if Fuji can pack the XS20 power and IBIS in the XT40 In 2024??
you're missing the shutter button
I was going to pick one up but there’s a video with a guy saying that it can affect your stills bc of the way you have to push it. And a bunch of people in the comments were agreeing so it turned me off but it looks great
@@TheEverythingMan just try it, it cheap
@@TheEverythingMan i've found mine has no affect on my photos. it's actually made it easier to take photos.
@JJSchlechte that’s good maybe I’ll look into one. RUclips Eric Gibaud Fujifilm shutter button. That’s the video I’m referring to
@@TheEverythingMan watched the video, seems like an issue that's wildly exaggerated and if it was actually a problem, Fuji would have already recommended against it.
Thanks for sharing! Great vid!
It’s a great camera! IBIS is over rated for most still shooters.
Just get a xt-30 , no need for mark 2. Even that is better than the V, and cheaper than mark 2 also
And the Q button placement isn't a problem..not forcing many..just for some youtubers which always keep on repeating the same flaw..
XR-30 II the best!
Black Eyed Susan's, Chessie System? You're my neighbor. 😉
The 23 f2 is not as good as the lens in the 100v, with xt3 you will miss leafshutte, nd filters built in flash, much worse evf …. but I agree the x100v is expensive, but not leica expensive…..
3:26 🤣
They’re all Sony sensors at the end of the day.
2nd ✌🏾to leave a comment. Great video !!!! Do the damn thing….
My man
x100v is just a hype camera not worth its price
@@TheEverythingMan It's a better choice FOR YOU. But no need to lie. And don't think your opinion is an absolute truth.
Nobody’s lying ya dope lol and I never said my opinion was the truth. I bet you waaaay overpaid for a X100V haha
@@TheEverythingMan No. I bought it 2 years ago before the hype. At the right price. And I never wouldn't change it for a X-T30.
I think that you try to reassure and console yourself because you haven't managed to have one! 😂
@@anthonymahieu8392actually the xt30 ii has everything you said it doesn’t. I bought one and I think I’m more happy with it than the x100v. It’s literally the same camera and it is better because I can use any high quality prime lens on it instead of sticking to the one lens on the x100v.
I also think it looks cooler
Although I could afford the x100v or the XT5 I just settled for a simple point and shoot
