I own an XT-30 as well and also found the portability to be a huge benefit. It's just small enough to be carried on the hip with a belt loop case, which is great for hiking when you want your hands to be free and don't want something hanging from your neck. I had used Case Logic cases in the past and found them to be good value and durable. Eventually I settled on the DCB-304, which I have found to be a good match for the X-T30. Also just looked it up again and somehow it's going for $5 on Amazon right now, they are running a sale apparently. Highly recommended for anyone with an APS-C size camera looking for a case.
Great to see another Ruhrpott video. I've only scratched the surface of Landschaftpark Duisburg when I was there to see a concert. I definitely need to look around a little more. Great video! That xt30 is great. A really good value and a great viewfinder.
I kinda see why no one talks about it. $300usd which isn't bad but the Fujifilm 10-24mm f4 MK I goes for $400usd used maybe less at times. Unless I just absolutely want to scream to the world I love pancakes it isn't the best value for money.
That's definitely a fair point. That lens is quite large so if you don't mind that it is probably the better buy, but if you want your camera to fit into a jacket pocket or small bag for every day carry, the Laowa allows you to do that.
Nicely done video, Love Duisburg! I spent a lot of nights at that complex shooting music video footage. Good times..!!!! P.S. I used my X-Pro2 and XF 35MM F2.
Have been loving your stuff ever since I have stumbled across your channel. This lens really seems like alot of fun, thanks for pointing out the pontentials 👌🏾
I am wanting to purchase an XT-30ii and it is 999 dollars with an included 15-45mm lens. Should I purchase just the body and then get a TTaertisam pancake lens? Which lens is better for portraits/street photography?
Abandoned industrial park? That one is very much taken care of as it can be 😅 and it is very popular amongst tourist. Some would say it is one of that city's landmarks
Please forgive me 😂 I just said abandoned so people don't think I broke into a working one 😂 Also sounds a lot more exciting than "restored industrial stuff turned public park"
Thank you!!! I appreciate it :) I only get super wide angle lenses out for certain stuff, mostly architecture photography because that's where they really shine 😁
I never used to give thought to ultra-wide lenses, until I bought one on a whim in Japan a decade ago. And now I can't imagine not having one. I am always finding new ways to compose with it. I've got a couple good ones now, but always looking for niche lenses, like something like this that is pocketable.
Hi FUTC.. I am a real fan of your contents and humor. Happy to watch more of your vids whether they are gear-oriented or not. As a constructive comment, please please stick to the quirky and European editing/styling you used to have. The peter mckinnan music and americanise studio backdrop have made the whole production LESS special than your old videos used to. I think the community yearns to see more unique look like what you used to do.
I appreciate the input, It's interesting to hear because I've never felt like I had a fixed style. I've been bouncing around a lot between styles because I just do what feels right for each video. I spend a lot of time picking the right music for each project and I pick the music depending on the location and the footage. Of course this type of music wouldn't fit for footage at the beach or something like that, where I might use house music and edit completely differently. I used to just use Lofi music but that's probably the most generic thing you can do for a photography video so I moved away from that. But don't worry, it's just the time and the place and I'll always try to do something creative with every video, definitely not trying to be like peter mckinnon.
Great to see you taking constructive criticism well. I enjoy your content and use your film presets all the time, but yeah I agree with the comment above - pls stay away from Peter McKinnon vibes
Thanks for the video. How does the Fuji XT30 compare to the Fuji X100T speedwise? I mean, the time since you turn it on and shoot is it about the same for both cameras, I just want to know if one of them is quicker than the other....DSLR compared ?
Have you seen Leica lenses? 😄 Those are $6000 and manual focus. But in all seriousness, at 10mm you really don't need autofocus as much as you would think.
Es gibt auch ein 9mm 2.8 zero D. Aber die Frage der Fragen: Passt die unendlich Stellung ? Is there hardstop infinity or does is focus beyond (which would be annoying) ?
Hi, thanks for this review.... great info. Where is this Industiral Park? I live in Denmark and I often come to Germany,- looks like a Ruhrpot locattion. MfG Henrik
Thank you for your review. Indeed, I have never heard of this lens. That is OK as I would never want to use this lens. I don’t like using any lens wider than 28mm. I find 28mm too wide for my taste. A 28mm lens requires me to get too close to my subject to obtain an acceptable image. Plus I am forced to be more aware of what is at the edge of the frame. 15mm? No way! Different strokes for different folks. This folk does not want this particular stroke. That is alright. I’m sure there are photographer that would enjoy using this lens. We have to use the right tool for the right job. You are about the price. Mask On Nurse Marty (Ret)
No one is talking about it because it JUST RELEASED and Laowa didnt send out much samples but there are a few people on RUclips talki g about it. Stop being so clickbait-y... not a good look
Why nobody's talking about this lens hint: It's manual only and f4. But if size is the priority.... Well....
Lmao…my thoughts exactly.

Thanks for the tip
How does the XT-30 stack up to the X100-VI?
I have the X100 VI in order but no telling how long it will take to arrive.
Great to see another Ruhrpott video. I've only scratched the surface of Landschaftpark Duisburg when I was there to see a concert. I definitely need to look around a little more. Great video! That xt30 is great. A really good value and a great viewfinder.
Yes it's definitely worth another visit to do some exploring!

Also, I think this lens is plain ugly. Doesn't fit the X-T30 at all.
Nicely done video, Love Duisburg! I spent a lot of nights at that complex shooting music video footage. Good times..!!!! P.S. I used my X-Pro2 and XF 35MM F2.
That for 300 bucks? That's why no one talking about it.
1st it's 10mm (15mm in full frame) which is not easy to use and control. 2nd it's F4 which is slow lens. So why do you feel surprise it's unpopular?
And it’s 300$, for a manual lens
ngl, if someone is missing focus at 10mm f/4, they are doing something terribly wrong
Impressed that you went to Corvega Factory to test it. Be safe out there.
Underrated comment😂
I shall get this for my XE2s which I love and thank you for letting people know About it.
Thank you for watching!!
Looks that it's a fish eye lens without distortion! Great that you pointed that out!
Have been loving your stuff ever since I have stumbled across your channel.
This lens really seems like alot of fun, thanks for pointing out the pontentials 👌🏾
I'm here for the tracking haha. Nice vid bro, keep it up!
There is Laowa 9mm f2.8 Zero-D which is a little wider (with no distortion) than 10mm
I have the Fuji 27mm on my Xt-2 and it's a great street combo.
This looks like such an interesting lens.
I'll have to add it to my list
Tolles Video, du bist meiner Meinung nach einer der underratedsten RUclipsr ever. Qualitativ und Informativ einfach top
Danke für das riesen Lob!!! 🥰 Bedeutet mir echt viel sowas zu hören!
The lens nobody is toalking about but it's out of stock almost everywhere. Duh?
I am wanting to purchase an XT-30ii and it is 999 dollars with an included 15-45mm lens. Should I purchase just the body and then get a TTaertisam pancake lens?

@@futc.photography Yeah you are right. Almost implies a lost place 😁 well, I will check out your channel
Thanks for the review. T30+ Laowa 10mm is a good combination!!!!
That is a really interesting lens. I am definitely going to check it out. Thank you so much.😊
I’ll never buy this lens - too wide for me. But man your shots are great. Good stuff.
Thank you!!! I appreciate it :) I only get super wide angle lenses out for certain stuff, mostly architecture photography because that's where they really shine 😁

Great pictures and a very nice review, thanks!
Just stumbled across your channel, fantastic shoots my young friends!
Much appreciated!
Why would you need a pancake lens to shoot that structure?
Have you compared it to the TTArtisan 10 mm f2?

Hab die xt30 gerade für 270€ geschossen (3600 Auslöser) mit ovp.
Brauch jetzt Objektive und werde wohl dieses hier mal ausprobieren
Uii das ist ein krasser Schnapper 😳
Great review, was fun to listen to and the photos + footage were great. Keep up the great work!
Thank you!!! Will do 😊
Damn I kinda love it. Just wish it wasn’t $300. That’s kinda crazy for manual focus.

Yo, gutes Video! May i ask, wo ist dieses Industriegelände?
Danke! Landschaftspark Duisburg :)
Hi, thanks for this review.... great info. Where is this Industiral Park? I live in Denmark and I often come to Germany,- looks like a Ruhrpot locattion. MfG Henrik
Yes it's the Landschaftspark Duisburg :)
I can feel the GAS kicking in right now. Great pictures and awesome video as always!^^
Thank you!!! Greatly appreciated 🥰
There's a reason we don't talk about chocolate covered raisins...
And what's that? 🤔
Love ur videos dude!
Thank you!!! I appreciate it 😊
as usual, awesome video. keep it up :)
Thanks a ton!!! More regular uploads from now on!
Care to share which backpack you are using? Looks nice
The Tenba Fulton v2 16L all-weather backpack.
Love your videos, keep going 💪🏼
Thanks!! Will do 🙌
My first reaction was also how small the camera is
If computer science does not work out, please consider a comedy career!!
bit expensive for a manual pancake if you ask me.
Can you please send link to your camera strap ....thanks
You should get a jetech grip for the xt30, it completely changes the camera, it makes the 16-55 2.8 comfortable to use
I have an xt30. Couldn't find the jetech grip you mentioned. Any ideas?
Where is this
gibt es dieses video in deutsch?
You lost me at chocolate covered raisins
02:12 just wondering is the silver top part of the left camera a darker silver?
Yes, mine is the "charcoal silver" color, the other one is just called "silver"
Ohh.
I’m offended with the coffee nerd comment….. 🤣
Sorry 😂
Cuz it’s expensive
"..half a banana." :D :D
really? we were just talking about it last night.
Geile Bilder, geiles Video, geile Mucke
Hows that tenba doing?
Doing great! I've had it for over a year now and I'm really happy with it
This is good stuff
Thanks 😉🙏
For $300 i can buy 2ndhand fuji 10-24f4
Thank you for your review.

More than 90 USD for this lens is a robbery
Good photos!
Visiting abandoned industrial complexes is exactly what I imagined Germans do in their free time.
possibly the most boring sample shots ever, but ultra wide photography is really hard!
❤
No one is talking about it because it JUST RELEASED and Laowa didnt send out much samples but there are a few people on RUclips talki g about it. Stop being so clickbait-y... not a good look
it didn't just release, it's been out for well over a year 😂 If you think this is clickbait I don't think you've seen the rest of RUclips mate.
man, this is way overpriced, $555 for a manual lens 10mm F4 of a Chinese brand, no sorry thanks
I don't know where you're from, but here you can get it for much cheaper, I've seen it for about 360€ on sale numerous times
