Do you have one on the way? What do you currently have? Which one do you prefer?

I just got a second hand x100f, I love it. Now I’m desperately trying not to order a VI. 😂

I picked up an x100f for pennies 2 years ago as a travel/street camera. Since I’m not going for super sharp, shooting in JPEG with noise, it’s perfect to upload straight to instagram. Love the fujifilm vibe.

Picked up my mint x100F the other day. I am a Cannon shooter and mainly stills so my F suits me fine especally the D Pad. Another great vid!

Great video! I bought my X100F back in 2018 before all the hype. I loved when they introduced weather sealing with the V but hated how they deleted the D pad, I think the F has the best interface out of all the X100 cameras so I didn't feel like updating even with the newer lens.
Now the VI got me interested with the IBIS too, but the fact it's not made in Japan anymore hurts a bit after the previous 5 versions were. Other than that it looks pretty good, but I still think the D pad was very useful.

Couldn't agree more! I love my X100F and the D-Pad. The newer models feel really weird getting used to because I'm so used to the d-pad!

Great in-depth review, it clearly explains the pros and cons of all three generations. Fujifilm makes excellent products, but their production and sales management are terrible. New products are hard to find, while older ones keep increasing in price. I own an X-Pro2 and recently bought an X100F; I think these cameras are perfect for casual everyday photography. However, if you're looking for serious commercial photography, you should stick with Sony.

Really (really ! ) useful !! ‘Was actually looking on the net at a x100f n wondering if it would work for me. It was a much better price that the x100v, but slow focusing, lack of a moveable screen and far fewer mpgs would, I think, make it frustrating quite quickly, So it mite hv to be the x100v. (Unless I suddenly come into Money, in which case it would be the Q3 ….. haha !! ). The prices the x100v go now feels very over hyped and could suddenly lose 1/2 of its value when the x100vii comes out ….

Thanks for the informative video. I have the X100F, but ordered a VI on release day. Currently still waiting for stock to arrive... no surprise there :) But as I also have an X-T5, I'm now thinking "Do I really need to upgrade the X100F? Or have I just been seduced by the hype?". I use it for street photography, and have always been very happy with the image quality of the F, so seriously thinking about cancelling my VI order.

V was a good upgrade over F due to the increase in lens sharpness and faster AF performance. Probably hold out on the VI till the next release.

If used x100v's were priced reasonably, I'd probably get that over the vi due to the 26mp sensor. I have an x-t5 and the 40mp in most cases has turned out to be overkill.

Yea the V is definitely worth it if you can get it for cheaper than the VI obviously. But they are still extremely overpriced it seems.

Yep unfortunately the V stills sells at €1600 over here in Europe, even above its MSRP

A question. When you say the X100F is "not the most reliable camera" does this refer to the autofocus in particular or to the reliability of the camera in general ?

It is kinda sad that they switched the production to China and it still didn't flood the market as many expected.
I somehow got one and I am very excided :) Thanks for the vid.

I still love my X100F sooo much for almost everything 😍 but theres ONE thing that spoils the party (for me personal): the EVF panel :-( Resolution and magnification is absolutely fine - but blacks are SO bad, it looks washed out and overall its hard for me to get the right exposure… compared to my x-t4 (and even the X-T30II) i feel very sad when lookin through the EVF. kind of unreliaeble. I dont really want to sell my old friend just for having the newer OLED panel in the V/VI but this is almost a dealbreaker for my shooting experience. dont know if i just have a bad copy - almost no reviewer really talks about the in my opinion bad LCD EVF panel. am i too critical? 🙈

Do you still think it resolves all those 40 megapixels with that older lens? Is that OK? How’s the autofocus? Is this better to get or Sonya7cii right now I have the Canon R5 its big, I have a RF 15 to 35 2.8 and a 50 mm 1.8 Canon, what do you think I need something lighter? What would you be getting? I might take Canon with me when I go on trips like Tokyo and places like that but for when I’m just doing street photography, maybe this is still the best option please advise…. Also what camera did you use to film this video?

    V is not "v" but 5... It's Latin...
