It's interesting they were trained in all seven forms of lightsaber combat as form seven Juyo isn't a style of combat for Jedi barring Mace Windu and the small handful of Vapaad practitioners so it's possible Dooku intended to at one point use the guards against Sidious in some way or vice versa.

I believe that because Droids are not living beings, Jedis cannot predict their movement with the Force. It is mentioned that even the most experienced Jedi pilots had difficulty facing the Droid-Tri Fighter

True. In the sense that force users can feel or sense one’s thoughts, it seems likely it would not work the same with one that has no personal thoughts or emotions.

At the time, very few Jedi participated in one v one fights while battlefield engagements with blaster-wielding enemies were commonplace

    • @dazdavis7896

That’s flat out wrong. Maybe at the VERY beginning of the war sure but that didn’t LAST long at all. The Prequel/clone wars era had THEE greatest swordmasters in galactic history that is direct in-universe fact. And on BOTH sides. Dooku, Sidious, Maul, Grievous, Ventress, and then even Vader by the war’s end who decimated the Jedi; the Darksiders of that era were filled to the brim with martial ability... And there were MANY other Dark Jedi and acolytes than just the main greats. Lightsaber fights became literal common occurrences again for the first time in 1,000 years. The prequel/clone wars era is literally the apex era of martial/dueling ability. That is DIRECT in-universe fact. And George Lucas directly stated that himself. That the Jedi Order was at its peak in that era. Which is largely due to the Darksiders they were facing they HAD to be. There’s no getting around that, Lucas said it himself... Vader/Anakin, Yoda, Dooku, Windu, Sidious, Kenobi, Maul, Cin Drallig, Grievous, Plo Koon, Shaak Ti, Kit Fisto, Ventress, Agen Kolar, Sora Bulq, Depa Billaba, Ki-Adi Mundi, Saesee Tiin, Garth Ezzar, Soara Antana, Devan Fordeschel, Darrus Jeht, etc. the list literally goes on and on and on, those are just off the top of my head. ALL savage swordmasters who have ALL been in duels.. Dooku had many Sith acolytes & other Dark Jedi working for him. And Sidious had a couple of his own, like Garth Ezzar, who was a badass himself. The Almas academy that he brought down had multiple great Jedi swordmasters as well who were encountering Darksiders and duels on a semi-regular basis. Then Maul had his brother whom both had multiple different encounters & duels with multiple different Jedi during their rogue reign. Like I said, the list goes on. There were hundreds upon hundreds of duels that took place during the prequel/Clone wars era. For quite a few Jedi, and for many Darksiders, they had become a regular occurrence again.

As fantastic as TCW is, the portrayal of Grievous and his MagnaGuards were actually two of its biggest crimes. The original Clone Wars (2003) series was far better in depicting how their droid bodies and unconventional movements could be a real threat to any opponents.

i dont how the jedi are having trouble with magnaguards when they can literally just force crush them in a instant like the jedi rely on their lightsabers to much and forgot they are space wizards with god like powers this is also anakins biggest flaw a jedi true power comes from the force

@@mazkeraid4039 yeah but the best they can do is kill a padawan like a jedi knight can prob force crush like 5 or 10 at once maybe unless theres a entire army running towards a jedi coming at all angles other then that the jedi stomps

This droids were amazing in lego the complete saga. Good to watch on a big screen. Only minus is this Obi move from episode 3, when he crushed 4 of them and had to decapitate one. I think they should jump away since they were so fast.

The magna guards are deadly and formidable opponents in their own right and armed with Grevious knowledge of Jedi forms and fighting styles, its no surprise that they were able to take down clones and Jedi alike throughout the clone wars.

I'd give them sonic/disruptor weapons (like the Genosians), flamethrowers, mines (not grenades, those can be thrown back with the Force), secret compartments that emit lethal gases at lightsaber range, guns that can shoot nets, programming on how to attack Jedi indirectly by taking hostages or attacking their allies, distraction modules that play Sith taunts, and make them have a special functionality to appear deactivated/broken until the Jedi gets close to them.

    • @Akbar_and_Shaa

I feel like nets being force pushed back would be a heck of a hazard for the droid though

Good to hear SWRC and making a new video. Give more love to him! Also another factor that Magnaguards have that could tip the scales in their favor to most jedi especially the ones not discipline enough like Obi-Wan and Kit Fisto are the fact that they can put the fear into you. Just seeing one is bad enough but a group of them and with their terrifying appearance and their inhuman speed and strength SWRC pointed out, that would make most Jedi fall.
