In this video, I head to New York to meet with Giuseppe Miccio, Head of Product Development at Longines. We take a look at brand new variants of the Legend Diver, a totally new 37mm Spirit, and an unexpected GMT version of the Spirit known as the Zulu Time. Which new Longines model is your favorite?

My grandfather wore a Longines on special occasions. I wear a Longines because every day I remember him is a special occasion. This is more than a brand, it's also heritage.
It's good to see Teddy interviewing these guys after bringing small time collectors like me into watch collecting and getting into higher end watches
The disease spreads slowly over time... I started with Invicta and am currently into Jaeger-LeCoultre
Happy to see Tissot, Longines release 36-40mm watches for smaller wrists like us (6.25-6.5inch).. always prefer sub 40mm watches
Bro a 42 mm Speedy is even a little bit too small for you
You can war all between 36mm and 44mm easy
@@MKGamingInvesting yes, lug to lug is important though.. totally agreed
Nobody factors in their build or height. I have a smaller wrist but small watches look strange on my 188cm athletic frame. 40mm-43mm is the sweet spot, but thickness, bracelet width and especially lug-to-lug length are almost more important measurements than case size.
The 42mm Zulu Time looks too big on my 6.5” wrist. Lugs are too long. My 44mm Seiko Turtle fits me better. 🤷♂️
Longines has been really killing it lately. One of the more underrated watch brands out there. My black 39mm conquest is still one of my favs in my collection 👌🏽 Might have to pick up one of their divers.
Got the blue conquest as my first watch for my birthday 2 weeks ago and I really love it 👍
Longines watches always look cheap lol
Longines is underrated?
Nice to see a young man driving the design. I’m 60 and don’t have the vision as I did at 35.
@@koryreid7566 lol. Ok
Love the fact that he's proudly stating the fact that they're constantly learning and relearning their brand history. Such an amazing mindset to have for a watch brand!
Wow, so impressed with Longines collection. I love the on fly adjustment and the Spirit 37mm. Longines have definitely been hard at work with their improvements. Forget Rolex, these are far more innovative.
Excellent to hear from the people involved in designing these watches, brings home all the work that goes into each piece and provides so much insight. Thank you Teddy. 👍
Despite the Spirit 42mm and the Monta Skyquest GMT already in my collection, that Zulu Time is still a heck of a temptation. One of the most flawless GMT executions I've seen under $5k. Thanks for the great video!
The black and gilt is a looker
Tag heuer autavia did It before but people hating on tag
@@sincm91 Spirit or Autavia? In my opinion, Longines is better in the index quailty.
@@cheungtingfung5407 autavia GMT Is very similari beautiful Watch but People hating on tag dont appreciate it
Get the sprit zulu. I have not seen a better longines. Even I feel this beats tudor gmt.
Just bought the Zulu time in the green dial. My first luxury watch ever. Can't wait to wear such a respectable brand's watch on my wrist and enjoy this beautiful piece! ❤️
The 37mm addition is by far the most exciting. This might be the best affordable pilot's watch on the market. I would love to see the GMT offered in a smaller dimension, but you can't always get what you want.
My grandfather had a Longines pocket watch and I was so fascinated as a child 50+ years ago with this watch, so I personally know that this brand has a long history in watch making and as a new enthusiast in fine watches I truly love the new GMT collection.
Wear my Hydro all the time, always my go to diver! Longines is the best
Same, 24/7
Same..green 41 rubber here
same, black with rubber here
Same. Black Rubber 41
Same, 39mm Black
Perfect conduction of the interview, Teddy. You asked all the right questions. You're definitely helping this hobby grow in a healthier and positive way. Regarding Longines, they're nailing it! I'll be adding a 37 spirit in my collection soon.
Thank you, Bruno. Really appreciate this comment!
Such a great watchmaker. Their products always seem to be positioned to make 98 percent of the collectors taken care of in terms of size and style very well represented.
Can we all just shout out how awesome it is to see Teddy doing these collabs? This channel has come so far in the last few years, and I am so happy I found it. Kudos, another wonderful interview, Teddy! 🙌👏
I love how legible/easy it is to actually see the time on these pieces. Retains the functionality without losing out on style(Particularly the "Spirit"). Thank you for the video
I've got an older Master Collection Power Reserve. Even w/o lume you can read the time everytime :-)
@@frankkami4286 That's really cool, thanks for sharing. I just have some Casio G-Shocks and a Seiko "Tortoise". Saving up next year(my 30th) to get a treat - I am torn between Longines and some German brands but we shall see. Hoping I get the opportunity to try some of these on at a AD.
Thanks Teddy. This was a great interview and showcase. Hearing the brand tell the story the way they intend it to be relayed, and spending time on the details with the philosophy behind the design cues, is a very nice touch. Again, thanks for putting the effort into this one.
Man, I absolutely adore Longines. Teddy, on the button with this one! Fantastic job. Was excited to see the GMT release and moments later your video was out.
Between all their recent pieces, and this interview, and the amazing movements they’re doing, Longines is my favorite brand right now for sure
I'm so glad that the 36mm and 37mm watches are being highly considered from companies. I have a very small wrist, so 36-38mm is perfect. ❤
Happy to see Longines getting some love. My father in law gifted me a Flagship Heritage Automatic Chronograph after I proposed to his daughter 10 years ago. It's a beautiful watch that will always hold a special place in my heart, and has made me a lifetime fan of the brand.
What a generous father in law! You've clearly married into a wonderful family!
Outstanding. I am so happy to see Longines regaining its place as a premier watch brand. Bravo!
The new Zulu looks spectacular. I’d like to see one in person to get a feel for the size on a smaller wrist, but I’m all in on a Longines for my next piece!
Just put one on wrist today after looking at Breitling Super Ocean Heritage and the Zulu is a stunner. Holding up very well against watches almost 2-3X higher.
Soo well balanced and executed. You will want to go see one for yourself. Like he said it has an elegance to it that is really something
Great timing to get this out today- I was looking forward to the release and this is a wonderful extra to that. Good work, Teddy!
Excellent interview! Love the additions to the line and the detailed descriptions of the design choices Longines has made. Definitely a contender for an upcoming purchase!
Longines are on a roll. I love what they are doing and the new GMT is simply lovely. It has some Autavia GMT vibes.
These new additions are a major disappointment.
Why are they disapointments?
@@morten170 He owns a Rolex and feels threatened.
Longines is such a fantastic and underrated manufacturer...excellent video as always!
I've not considered Longine for awhile but that GMT is absolutely beautiful and the Spirit is quite striking as well. Excellent interview Teddy!
Love Longines! My everyday wear is a hydroconquest. It has been reliable and is beautiful.
Amazing piece for the price point. I was considering the TAG Autavia and GS GMT, but Longines have knocked it out of the park with this! Bravo
I absolutely LOVE the new Zulu Time GMTs and can't wait for their release! The fact that these have the Longines history, a true GMT in house COSC certified movement, and are listed around the $3,000 mark, pretty much forces the consumer to consider them. Oh, not to mention they're gorgeous watches! Well done, Longines... well done!
Began my Longines relationship with a black dial 43mm Conquest. Loved it so much I just added the Spirit Chrono 40mm blue dial. Longines man forever.
Man longines has been killing it recently- stunning value for money!
Love the Zulu Time in blue dial + blue strap. Looks gorgeous for a daily driver.
Excellent interview and video! All of the watches are absolutely beautiful but being a GMT fan, that GMT is stunning!
Ive been paying alot of attention to longines lately, im really liking what they're doing and how they're doing it 👍🏾.
hats off to Tissot and Giuseppe for delivering the fantastic cleanest Zulu time. Tks Ted for a great episode
I love how you are now doing the brand’s release reviews, it’s like they’ve acknowledged how important you are in the world of watches, specially at this price point, thank you teddy, for becoming that bridge, after having a seiko skx013 for years I finally started expanding into other watches sub 1000 dollars, most of them watches you have examined. Thank you for giving younger people like me (29) that maybe don’t have the money or the connection to brand like Rolex, but that love washes that inspiration.also I respect this brands the most because they are approaching us the consumer unlike Rolex that just drank their own coolaid and think they are to cool to be nice.
Teddy, you did a great job as an interviewer here. You asked smart questions and allowed M. Miccio to answer at length. Too many interviewers just talk talk talk, trying to make themselves the star of the show, rather than gathering information from the interviewee.
The 37mm Spirit looks amazing, if I could get one in the same green dial as the 40/42mm it would definitely be my next pickup!
Great interview and even better watches. I love the spirit as well as the green bezel Zulu time! Congrats on all your growth Teddy 👏🏻
Teddy you are killing it with these brand colabs 👏👏
I loved this video! Teddy, you asked all the questions us enthusiasts would ask. I really loved hearing their thoughts, and also that they do look at feedback. These are really great releases, and thanks for including the lug-to-lug on the 37mm. I have a friend with a smaller wrist really interested in that one. The 40mm works fine on my wrist, and I'm very interested in the Titanium 40mm.
You are a good interviewer Teddy. I noticed that when you asked Mr. Miccio about the lug to lug lenght: in one hand you know that's a common concern amongst watch collectors, wich shows your appreciation for your fans, and on the other you asked him if Longines have discussed that topic, without being confrontational or unpolite, which shows your understanding and respect for the watchmaker's difficult task of trying to please the collectors. Thumbs up
Thank you, Angel! Appreciate this comment. Always room to improve but I enjoy interviewing guests.
Longines is on the rise in my opinion. Beautiful Spirit GMT. Will be hard to resist. 👍
Loved this video. Longines setting the pace for design, quality and value. 5 year warranty from the brand is such a great plus as well.
Thank you Teddy and Giuseppe, a great video. The new colours of the Legend Diver are very welcome especially the burgundy for me anyway. The new Spirit watches have just leaped onto my radar as items to see at the AD at some point. The new smaller sizes are welcome as is the relocation of the date window to six as this adds balance and symmetry to the dial. It's also great to hear that it was a design decision to move the GMT hand on the Zulu Time to the second point on the hand stack. I think it works very well to keep the watch slim. The on the fly strap adjustment is also great to see. Thanks again both for sharing. Oh and Teddy I agree that the sector dial is a real go anywhere gem of a piece.
These look awesome! Looking forward to seeing that GMT! Thanks for the intro to these new releases.
Great video, Teddy. Really enjoy these discussions directly with important people from the houses!
That Spirit Zulu Time looks spectacular! I want one with a blue dial
Great choice of guest, a real pleasure listening to him.
Love Longines, my HydroConquest has been my go too for the past few years. That Spirit 37mm is extremely tempting. Beautiful watch
I truly enjoy how they've set up Hamilton, Tissot, then Longines as the perfect three stepping stones in ones mechanical watch journey, before you even need to think about a Oris, Omega, and Tudor...
Absolutely love Longines. Fantastic brand, excellent products.
Again, an amazing "MKBHD" like move, releasing this video right when everybody started reading about the GMT release. I love it, nice job Mr. Baldassarre, keep this up and you will be the most important watch channel on RUclips!
Appreciate this, my friend! MKBHD is a titan on RUclips so I am very flattered.
That GMT looks fantastic. Well done Longines!
The Zulu is one I'm really looking forward to see, amazing that Longines just keep hitting the mark.
Really enjoy these interviews with people in the industry. Thanks.
I just bought a Avigation Big Eye black dial, love it, very happy to see Longines moving forward to the center of the scene.
Congratulations. I just received my Avigation Big Eye yesterday. These seem to be getting harder to come by, below retail lately.
Zulu GMT just rushed the top of my watchlist. Stunning! Thanks for Interview and presentation to you sir as well as longines ofc.
That Black and Gold Spirit Zulu Time is killing it 😱 and with all the features/functionality, it’s really hard to justify other watches purchases 1,5-2 times the price unless the genre is completely different
Love the Spirit GMT Zulu Time, definitely one to add to my list
Wow those were some fantastic watches. It was obvious Teddy has a passion for watches and had some great questions. Well done.
Full respect for Longines, love my Conquest 41 silver dial.
love Longines! You can buy any price point you want with them and still get one hell of a watch!
Longines is making a comeback and will be the next hot thing in the watch world. Well done Longines!
Really enjoyed the chat and great watches. I think they have got me with these. Off to the bank !! 👏
Everyone one of these is superb 👌. Longines is killing it.
Hi Teddy, the Zulu Time is for sure the "Black Bay Line Up" of Longines! It will be a real success. They can or will build an empire on this - smaller diameter i.eg. below 40 mm - more color variations, bronze like the Legend Diver - what a big hit. And the prices - really affordable. Why wait for years on a Starbucks - get it from Longines with GMT function instead. Plus quick change of straps and bracelet, so cool! Need to call the AD in the next hours. Greetings from Germany. Many thanks
Longines turning into a real watch enthusiasts brand. Thanks for this video!
That blue zulu time is beautiful 😍
The new straps for the Diver are gorgeous! Makes me want one.
These look really amazing the 37mm spirit and the gmts simply amazing
I currently do not own a Longines but I will and I particularly like the Conquest line and I must say that I am a fan of the Zulu GMT as well. Wonderful content as usual, thank you Teddy.
Another great job teddy....this is the content watch collectors want
I've been wearing the 42mm Zulu Time. The watch is fantastic. 9/10. Of course the often talked about lugs could be better, but it is not so simple for Longines. They have their bracelet supplier -- which I believe comes from China -- and it has its specifications for matching the case. They use this bracelet on several watches. Homogeny between products keeps costs down. If they changes the lugs on 1 watch, they have to change the lugs on all watches that use that same bracelet.
Another problem is the color of the bracelet does not match the color of the watch -- probably because they are made in different factories with different steels.
I will say the bracelet is quite good. Many people don't like hearing the C word, but if you look at how the bracelet meets with the case (which is made elsewhere, I believe) it is clear the factory making the bracelet and the factory making the case have very precise tooling. It is a well made bracelet with high precision.
If Longines can tie these loose ends, their Spirit line becomes a staple and a classic, in my opinion. Of course, tying these lose ends may result in the watch matching more expensive brands like Tudor in costs -- which would not position Longines tactically where they are trying to position themselves.
So impressed!
Some absolutely beautiful timepieces! Great Q&A about the lineup.
Longines IS KILLING IT! Love Longines!
Longines are really leading the market in what they do. Great video Teddy.
Hi Teddy, i love your channel and follow its developement for years now. Great job you are doing here, keep going !!
Great video. This brand is amazing. I have a Master Collection moonphase 40mm and it wears 10/10, taking wrist time from higher-end pieces. The new spirit is going to be a hit, small but the long lug-to-lug (proportionally) balances it, like the Explorer 36. The Zulu Time is simply stunning, but unfortunately large at 42mm and 50mm long. Well, Longines is known to make 2mm increments on their watches, who knows if they develop 40mm spirits and Zulu Times.
Great line of watches here!!! Loving the new Zulu Time GMT's. Blue for me!!
Longines is really rocking it right now! So much so that I purchased the blue dial chronograph on bracelet last week. Love it, a very tall piece mind and the lug to to lug length is perhaps a put off for some. Yes my new piece does wear large, hence the calf leather strap is on it’s way to me. But the whole Spirit range from Longines is a home run!! Fantastic pieces, love the Zulu Time models! Watch out Tudor!
Great video. The Spirit 37mm will be absolutely on my list as well as the gmt.
That Zulu Time is just wow it actually gave me goosebumps
Excellent questions on that GMT, it’s a stunner! Great interview!
Great video, love the new products!
Another great video Teddy! That GMT is 🔥. Great interview
I love your videos Teddy! You made me want to get into luxury watch and I chose this Zulu Time GMT as my first ever luxury watch!!! Thank you for all your videos and keep up the great work sir! 🙏❤️
So good. Love Longines
Longines has been killin it. They deserve more attention.
This an nicely produced and informative ad for Longines and Teddy's retail business.
Those divers are soooo neat looking. This guy seems like he is truly proud to have his role, he has a lot of fun talking about the watches they create.
@Text Me ①③⑧⑥⑤①⑥⓪④④③ Does anyone actually fall for this anymore? Look: wipe the cheeto dust off of your fingers, comb your hair, and go to church. You need Jesus.
That burgendy legend diver is gorgeous. Fun watching this vid while I'm wearing my hydroconquest.
Great interview Teddy. Youre a class act.
Longines watches again are stunning pieces. Great interview too!
Awesome Teddy love the new longines GM T
Thank you Longines for reading the comments. 37mm Spirit looks hot!! Will be perfect size for my 6.75” wrist.
Love Longines timepieces! ⌚🤎🙌
These are just awesome! ⌚
Loving the GMT!!! Nice looking piece.....
