Hi Lucy, that's because this cap is very structured already and doesn't require stabilizer. Stabilizer would be good for "dad" caps or more flimsy caps.

No, it just means you don’t need to use stabilizer for very structured hats. Some people still choose to use them but we skip them for structured hats as they are already very stiff and don’t need stabilizer.

Where do you guys get your Richardson Caps ? The ones I get from Amazon are not well made , they are very hard to embroider on.
