hey Bob just finished watching your blog, the registration or skipping of the lay-down stitching when using the gen2 can be caused by the frame hitting the base frame on the machine while sewing, this can be fixed by removing the left side guide on the machine frame, 2 screws to remove plate then try the gen2 again, common issue with them
I have your same machine and I also have all gen 2 hoops and I had the same problem…the issue is the cap frame is not adjusted to the gen to put the box you would have to adjust the frame to drop a little lower so it get closer to the sewing arm and the hat can sit closer to it but then your regular cap won’t sit well when you switch so you basically would have to choose what hoop your going to stick with witch sucks so I just use the side hoop techs for side and back and use the regular ones for the front of the hats
The BEST cap hoop for unstructured hats in my opinion. I'm back & forth on using it for structured hats but you made it look way easier than when I'm doing it lol. Back of cap hoop is a game changer too 👏 Love seeing the embroidery content, but I'm a little biased 😂
I think there game changer for sure! Just gotta get used to them and make sure it runs smooth. The back and side cap is much more convenient! I’ll be sure to make more embroidery content 🙌🏽
Great vid, as ever, Baav - and fascinating to see how these things work. Good to see you aiming for a quality end product rather than just a cheap one: anyone can get a reputation for being cheap, but it's getting a reputation for being GOOD that counts! PS Nice colour coordination goin' on with the socks!
Bro those are the hoops I'm getting next! I never had registration issue with my MT1501. The only thing I get some times is thread brakes, But to be honest bro over time you get to know the machine and the problems. Then it becomes second nature and you'll fix the issues right away.
For trucker hats prints like that how much do you usually charge for a individual one or your bulk orders what ever you do, if there’s a print on front and back
That used to happen to me But what I found out was I just turned the machine off and turn it back on and let it reset itselet it reset itself and it was smooth sale and after that
People should stay away from Ricoma, we're a C Corp in NY they approved our equipment purchased and than bait and switched the loan from Biz to personal under false pretense so over the next few weeks, I will be commenting on the process and making sure others don't go through the same experience only to be disappointed, Melco has great financing where they do not bait and switch. Thanks Robert

Put the hoop on there without a hat and put some pressure. You’ll see that it’s hitting that plate on the arm above the rollers when it turns. I hate the gen 2 hoops. Waste of money
I like your realness. You answered my question because I am new at this. thank for being "100!"

Great insight! I will definitely try it out again and remove the plate to see if thag helps!

Its a good day when Baav posts a video! Thank you 🙏🏾
That’s love🙏🏽

I agree for sure
wow I really need to invest in these things they look so good and easy to use
once you figure out the issue with those hoops it will be a breeze
Definitely some cool and convenient hoops
Agreed!
Thanks for leading us now. I enjoyed your video bro.
Great Deno. Thanks!
Glad you like it!
Awesome video! Did you remove the winglets before using the gen 2? Thanks.
Were you able to find out what was causing registration loss? I just got mine and having the same issue.
Great video 👏🏻
Thank you🙌🏽
Hey can you send me the link for the Gen 2 Frame
Cool this is amazing 🔥🔥🔥
Hi Baav! Now that it’s been some time, do you feel that this cap hoop is worth purchasing?
Great video. Thank you!
Take the wings off the bobbin arm, that's what we had to do and works perfect now
Are you referring to the plate above the bobbin arm? Right behind the embroidery head near the light?
For trucker hats prints like that how much do you usually charge for a individual one or your bulk orders what ever you do, if there’s a print on front and back
For this run I charged about $15.00 per hat for just one location
@@baavproductions how about for 2 locations
Do you know if that cap hooping system works on the AVance 1501 c Embroidery machine? where did you get those?
Where did you purchase the hoop for the side of the hats?
That used to happen to me But what I found out was I just turned the machine off and turn it back on and let it reset itselet it reset itself and it was smooth sale and after that
The hood old reboot trick👌🏽
how much are they
Is the Gen 2 worth it? Where can I find the back attachment?
Donde lo compraste?

🙏🏽🙏🏽
Maybe it was tightened enough with the gen2 ?//
Trust me I had that bad boy tight!

From what you described, definitely sounds like a unfortunate situation. Did you switch over to Melco?
As much as i can’t stand Ricoma this about cap frames. Respect the young man’s channel please.

It's ok but you can not get low to the brim like you can with most regular hoops
I think you could get lower on the brim with the gen 2 but I’ll definitely put that to the test
you can go lower then normal hoops but you can’t do sides at the same time as the front.
That’s definitely a good point

I totally feel you on that! Dialing things in can be a pain but it’s apart of the journey. You got this!
You can remove that extra line of thread my man
I guess that is possible now that you say that
There is a tool you can get to remove it its like a dollor bro
Yeah that lil needle looking thing? Definitely will give it a try

You are supposed to remove the 2 roller plates from the driver inorder to use the gen 2 with your machine
Great video 👌🏻
Thank you!
