This is funny, I was here stalking your videos because I'm opening a home embroidery business and I'm so grateful I found you!! But I was trying to figure out where you were located after I saw San Diego in a video... this confirms San Diego for me lol. Tell me I'll be able to make enough money to move back to Oceanside where my husband and I lived when he was at Pendleton 😣😅 Not sure if you are Marines but I wouldn't be surprised!
I really enjoy your videos
Hi love your pod cast so informative and direct. Is the gen 2 system universal or is it specific to Ricoma .I have a Tajima 1501 and a Ricoma Marque.
Hello, my Gen2 hoops work for both my Ricoma and Tajima. Its always best to contact Hooptech just to be sure.
This is awesome vid...thx!
Did you digitize your design
Good video thanks
Great video, helped me out a lot. I do have a question about placement. It seems like to me that design is high on the hat when wearing it. Is that normal for these kinds of hats? I placed it about a half inch up from the bill.
Yes 1/2 inch to the brim is about the closest.
Love you video bro ! Got the gen 2 and it’s leaving teeth marks on my hat ?? Am I doing something wrong ??
Thanks man 🙏
I do get a slight mark, its not enough on mine to be noticeable. If your getting deep teeth mark, you can brush the hat or loosen up the hoop a tad bit.
@@RomeroThreads thanks bro . I actually just wiped that hat and it disappeared not too bad .. I like it because the hat is super secure compared to my other hat hoop . Things solid .💪
Hello! I noticed that you didn't take out the winglets from your machine before using the Gen 2, why is that? When I first use my gen 2, it was making a noise and would not turn all the way when framing. I was told by Ricoma to remove the winglets and after that it was working fine. Did you make some kind of adjustments so you don't have to take the winglets ou? Thanks.
On the video, I have the right wing off. Thats the one that would hit. You can take off both if you see that it bumps.
Great video. Thank you for the demo. I recently bought the Gen2 and hooping is so much easier. My question to you is, have you ever embroidered on "Weld MFG" hats? They are unstructured but have a slightly "lower" brim that only the Gen2 seems to hoop properly, but even then there is some puckering of the fabric at the bottom and I can never get a flat hoop so I keep having a bunch of bird nesting happening, it's terrible. Do you or any of your subscribers have any experience with these hats or have tips? Greatly appreciate it!
Ive never used that brand. I would say maybe use 2-3 pieces of tear away to avoid puckering. As far as bird nesting, of course check tension and also check if the design is being stretched somewhere because it sounds like the needle is not connecting with the bobbin in that location.
Hi Romero, what size and of metallic needle do you use. I kept o buying the wrong one as the head will not fit
Good video as usual. I like the rig you came up with to place the hat hoop on. Would you give more detail on how you made it? Thanks
Will do, I'll get the info and info to you in a bit.
Hello, that frame is awesome, can you embroider on the sides of a cap, 270 degrees
Thanks
No you can’t. I use the side hoop for the sides and back of hats.
@@RomeroThreads Thanks
Hi there! binge watching your videos right now, great great content btw, I appreciate all the info!!! my question is how big of a design you can do on these? Also, I have a baby lock venture, is this compatible with it? thank you in advance :)
Hello, yes it is compatible with the Baby Lock. I would call HoopTech to confirm. Thank you for the message.
@@RomeroThreads thank you for your response! searched it up and you’re definitely right ☺️ 6 and 10 needle baby locks!
Do you use the normal hat hoops ?? Or just the hoop tech gen 2 ?
We only use the Gen2
@@RomeroThreads nice I just got one of the gen 2 hoops .. I have the back of hat hoop and it’s awesome . Love your videos bro ! Finally got my second single needle machine . Trying to scale up the business . Keep on grinding G!
HI what setting you useon you embroidery machine for gen2 in other to embroidery more words or bigger objects
You are doing a great job. Apart from dad's hat which of the yupoong cap can you recommend that have
more wide space to embroidery on.
thanks
I mean the cap setting to accommodate more text both height and side. Normal setting is 2ins in height
I only change the y parameter to 80. That lets me go all the way up to a 3.5" (even though I don't ever go that big)
@@RomeroThreads thanks
Where do I purchase this hat system and does it work for a Toyota ESP 9000
Here’s the link to the hoop. You can call to confirm compatibility.

@@RomeroThreads tank you so much
Can anybody tell me if I can use this cap frame on a baby Lock alliance single needle, and where can I find it? Thanks!
Hey I just got the gen 2 to see how it work with my ricoma mt1501 but when i do a trace it hit the side of the metal piece under it inside. ?? CaN you PLEASE help me out ??
Yea, same thing happened to me when I 1st got it. I took off the wing on the machine that gets hit.
@@RomeroThreads Thank you very much, but can you describe me a little more on what is the WING on the machine PLEASE, I dont know. ??
Can you use the gen 2 with the EM1010 ??
I don't have a em1010 but I know some people say it works. You might want to ask Ricoma and confirm. Thanks.
