- Assassin's Creed 3 and Valhalla both have maps set in North East America. I decided to check if you could find Eivor's landing and grave locations in AC3.
I originally thought the maps were completely different but turns out there are a few similarities between the two.

Another fun fact, you can find the cave Desmond and co hid out in as Eivor in Vinland. He walks up to the door and when you interact with it he says "no, this is not for me to do" or something along those lines.

“That’s racist.”
“You’re racist.”
Never seen that scene in Brotherhood.
Because you need to interact with one of the statue
@@SiPakRubah Well, I’ve never really spent much time in modern day because I’ve always been more invested in the historical events than the modern day events.
@@king-of-draic8745 that is historical tho
@@king-of-draic8745 yeah, just one of these days if you ever replay Brotherhood. Just go out of the Animus and interact with the statue of Altair
@@king-of-draic8745 The historical events intertwine directly with the present in such interesting ways it's what makes the story so good in the early games I spent a lot of time in the modern day because it was beautifully atmospheric & fun to parkour around as Desmond like you are practicing skills like in AC2 warehouse: ruclips.net/video/rqLpFgSuj4c/видео.html
There is cool hidden things that reward you for exploration & add to the story there is a lot of different dialogues with Shaun, Lucy & Rebecca if you exit the animus at different times which you are encouraged to do by Desmond receiving new emails as you progress in the animus it's so good the mystery of Erudito, hints that Lucy could be a Templar, special heirlooms long left behind by the Auditore family.
They went to the effort of giving Desmond unique sound of hitting the ground with his sneakers compared to Ezio's boots... I just love everything about present day in the AC games & how they used it as a way to contextualize the events in the past & vice versa it's an interesting twist on the sci-fi cyberpunk genre where it shows a dystopian world so much more grounded in our own reality it's kind of disturbing sometimes.
I remember seeing ACIII screenshots in Official PlayStation Magazine of Connor using a Kayak.
Now we get to use it! And it only took them 8 years.
Well they put kayaks into AC Liberation, which is also DLC for AC III or a separate game.
Wait what? We still can't tho right? In ac 3 that is.
@@chappanagent yeah, unless you count Liberation as AC3 DLC.

then Eivor passed away in Massachusetts...
Well, technically, many people speculate ( and there are apparently some proofs) that some Vikings did land in America before Colombus, but they just didn’t know where the hell they were and either couldn’t explain anything when they came back home or just didn’t come back at all. Maybe Eivor was one of the latest.
@@cjmania1980 well they definitely had a settlement in Newfoundland and probably went to Quebec but as far as America the Viking artifacts we have could be explained with Vikings trading with the natives in Canada and those natives traded with others and that’s why those artifacts are in America but they also probably went to America too we just don’t know sadly
I live in Massachusetts and i can confirm
Technically, Frontier isn’t Massachusetts since the village in AC3 is most likely similar to the natives of northern New York state, which has connections to nearby towns which are in the game. New York state is near to the border of Canada’s forest landscape, making it more likely New York rather than Massachusetts. However, Boston is in Massachusetts and at the time the game takes place, it was the seat and capital of the then New-England (later reformed as United States of America, circa 4th July 1776).
Considering your statement, it’s disputed considering Ubisoft hasn’t disclosed where the Frontier takes place but look at the locations in the region: you have the native village (probably based on the native river village near the border of New Jersey and New York, Saint Lawrence Valley), then you have the forts, then followed by the small towns, all of which are in equal distance of each other in comparison to their real life counterparts.
@@OG_FURZYthe settlement is most likely New York State the frontier showcases Mohawk valley which is in New York
I was waiting for a comparison review of these two maps for over a year!!!🤦🏻♂️
Although it’s not a full comparison, just a gravesite location… but it works for me🤝🏻
I've done another video that compares the Frontier and Homestead maps in AC 3, Rogue and Valhalla if you want to check it out!
@@irnassassin yeah sure!

Another cool detail is in AC2, in the basement of the villa, there are statues of different people important to the AC history. One of them is of Darius who later appeared in the dlc for odyssey
Also Aya is one of those
Aya, Aquilus, and other interesting Assassins
And that ac Codename Jade guy
It all makes sense now since Connor danced on eivors grave it foreshadows ac Valhalla not being that good
Connors stiff dance moves like his personality foreshadows many things yet to be revealed

valhalla is good. ya saxon!
Hahaha this made my day
Face it, the developers screwed up with their consistency between the two map. There’s no way the landscape could change that much in many centuries. Maybe in two to three millennias it would.
I mean it's a 900ish year gap between the games so....
Of course. That much was to be expected though.
800-900 years is a lot more than just a few centuries just saying
Well the frontier map was never accurate to begin with. It has locations in pa, nj, and ma all right next to each other
Well duh you expect Ubisoft to actually go back and look at the map of ac3 if you do expect that much effort clearly you didn't play Odyssey
aye thats actually really dope man thanks for this 🔥
could you do a comparison of New York in AC 3 and AC Rogue?
Can do ma man

Vinland was in Newfoundland, Canada. The frontier in AC3 is set in the US
A lot of things are similar tho,.. like both frontier and vinland having the same isu temple and connor's tribe,..

Wait how can you find Evior's grave when vinland is newfoundland canada and AC3 took place in eastern US boston new york eg? SInce when is the frontier in canada?
Sssh don't tell them let them hate ac for no reason
You could go to the grand temple in both Vinland and the Frontier so it has to be the same location, yeah the actual Vinland was in Newfoundland but this is supposed to be a couple hundred years before that and discovered by different people so it’s probably not the same one
if you think about It, I noticed no one has said this but if you think about it waaaay back in that time period there was no Canada or NY in 9th or 1000 AD as it was called Vineland or newfound by Vikings and whatever the natives call it. So in Eivors time all of vineland down to the New York area AC area would of been held by Indians and in the viking eyes it would all be considered vineland cause thats the only way her being buried in north America and not Canada would work because of this confusion on on what's those territories are call now vs then but bottom in Valhalla its North America period and to fit conor into this id have to be right or else it wouldnt work. So I believe that's why eivors body is in what we would call the frontier in Connors life time as everything different now and what use to be part of 1000 AD vineland is now the frontier. Explained it horribly but I think I just figured out the confusion on what every one is making about the location. But only the devs could be the ones to say so far im the only one to have figured this out if they trully thought of this or I just came up with a theory that perfectly fits the bill lol
You might also think during years and ages the landscape change over time due to content drift mass land
I enjoyed this. I'm playing AC3 Remastered.. again.. and wondered about the link in Valhalla to see if they thought this far ahead.. obviously they didn't because, Ubisoft. But it's nice to see you get to see some areas looking similar.
Haha I just finished replaying the remastered too. Loved the game even just as much as I did when I was a kid 8.3/10. Finished liberation and 😬 not very impressed at all 4.5/10
Yeah I have the original AC3 from release (pirated) this stuff is not in the game.
Hello Hello! I just wanted to say thanks for this, super helpful! We were coming up with a theory about Connor's lineage and this line up really helped!
Nice video 👍
New sub
Wait what? I still haven't played Valhalla but Eivor went to the AC3 Frontier Map in Valhalla I mean the exact location? Or it's just a map that looks a like?
At least a section of Vinland is the same as AC3, as the Isu cave Desmond and the gang are in is actually a place you can go to and Eivor says something about her not being the one to deal with it
Nice video!
Thank ya
Vinland and the frontier are two different places. Vineland is where Newfoundland is now and the frontier is down by NY
Than why can you find the precursor cave in Vineland?
Pretty sure Ubisoft confirmed their the same location, plus... Even if it isn't, it's not unlikely that they had her grave moved, similar to Aya.
There's a small crossover, going down as far as boston, I believe
Did Desmond try to speak in an Italian accent?😂
how is that italian.....
he tried to speak in arabic because he was saying it to altair :/

yooo that intro with bellec is awesome.
A little fun fact about history - the waterlevels wouldve gone down between the years that Eivor was there and when Connor got there
So they HAVE been planning these stories all along
Vinland was in Canada... Not a frontier region outside of Boston.
Go to Vinland, open the map and read the river names 👀
You forget that this is Assassin’s Creed; history is different within this universe. In Valhalla the Vikings are also exploring North America centuries before they are believed to have settled in Newfoundland. It was confirmed that Vinland in AC stretches along the entire upper east coast, and it is the exact same location as in AC3
They are not the same, but still a cool detail
They are the same place
Eivor's arrival location is Boston Harbour mate

SO,, It's not Eivor's Grave in AC3? It's the location (you think)
Sorry to burst the bubble here, but there's no way to compare maps, even if you ditch the 1:1 scale. Eivor is buried in Concord, Massachusetts. Where you "point" to her grave in AC III is Pennsylvania.
Sorry to burst your bubble, but Concord is literally a part of the Frontier map.

And look I found this paragraph on a gaming page talking about why she's period there and it says this and I feel like it kinda back up what I'm saying cause I'ma history nerd and what I said up above is the only way for Eivor to be in NA and how shed tie in with Conor being in the same area and blah blah. You wouldn't know what I said if you werent a history nerd and here this is what it says "The significance of Eivor's resting place was ultimately more important than one might think. She was buried in Vinland, which won't sound like much if you're not a history buff, but it's actually a very big bombshell if one is aware of it."

Bro, how do you unfog all frontier maps?
I'm not sure, think they made the AC3 map foggy so it would make distant structures look better and further away than they are. Like the mountains I pointed out around Eivors grave location, there's fog all around that area.

@JoeVington I'm going off of what Ubisoft themselves said about where and what the AC3 Frontier is supposed to be...and being that Vinland, while still not fully agreed upon it's exact location, was in what is now Canada, the 'fan service' of putting the cave and Connor's tribe into the game only serves as a cheeky nod to a previous(and better) game...what it actually does is break continuity
