The plot was very interesting, too bad they messed it up after the 3rd/4th game.
The first assassins creed had better graphics than the second one. Mostly due to the static lighting which made it have more accurate global illumination.
@@RonanAquilius Nah its a huge difference lmao even at first glance. I get thinking it looks ok for how old it is but it doesn't come close to anything out today and its easy to tell from literally just a single frame. And Mirage isn't even all that impressive for a new gen game at all.
_FOR THE RECORD_ it's not that Altair can't swim, it's that he was such an impeccable free-runner that the idea of him falling into the water by accident is SO at-odds with the Animus's reading of his genetic memory that it causes _immediate_ desynchronization 🧐
@@epikpanstan69 Yeah, but thinking about how a revolutionary, billion-dollar mind reading machine invented by a secret society in order to conquer the world couldn't do something as simple as fluid simulation is really funny.
I've always found AC one truly incredible graphics wise. The character had weight, the way clothes moved and lighting affected surfaces gave it a pretty believable overall look to the game. It is only when you get real close that you see how much textures haven't really held up over time. But from the normal point of view you spend playing most of the game, it still holds up remarkably well.
Человека с каждым годом все тяжелее чем то удивить. Я помню когда впервые смотрел фильм robocop он казался просто нимоверно крутым, в наши дни это совсем не так)
That's the issue with modern games and a lot of these comparisons. The second point. Most modern textures have a lot more finer details but you need to look closely to notice them. From a distance, unless you use a 4K monitor to view them with bright uncompressed colours on max settings. The textures won't look that different through a RUclips video. Video compression and how LOD's work really ruin any comparison between graphics on videos. Only by looking closely and by actually playing both games will you notice the graphic differences. Also clothing is really good in old games but modern games have more muscle movements, something which old games just couldn't achieve. Still AC one definitely looks good.
I'll always prefer the parkour in the original ACs. Those games made you feel more like an expert assassin. Apart from the weightiness and the staggering animations, climbing was more thoughtful; you had to observe your environment to know if you could climb something, or find the most efficient route. In the new games you're a super mutant. Just aim at a wall and he'll find his way up.
7:04 mirage is definitely faster, but the older games had a rock climbing type, is it slow yes??? but it made climbing more of a puzzle and gave side ejecting and back ejecting to scale buildings more satisfaction as there was a fine contrast between climbing slowly up a building and carving out a path up that was quick and efficient
@@warpitexis2341 i agree tedious is a good word to describe it, but it gave carving ur own path with the use of side ejects and back ejects the more satisfying. and the punishment if u side ejected too early or u made a wrong move was that tedious climbing.
@@tuiwing Back ejects and side ejects were great in AC1-Revelations. I'll nver understabd why the nerfed them so hard in AC3-Rogue. Before you could do them any time and later only at the start and end of a climb
the animations are also choppy in AC 1 but its way less noticable, i'm not exactly sure if its because of the camera movement, the animation itself warping or because of the graphics, the higher the fidelity the hard its to make something convincing (but i'm almost sure it isn't this last one). Edit: its defently the animation xd, some of them are actually really smooth looking but the main core that is jumping between things feels all wrong indeed, the whole thing of grabbing into a big pole to then drop and jump looks like a placeholder animation.
Agreed. The jumping in Mirage feels weightless and Basim seems to just teleport from ledge to ledge. Don’t know if it’s just because the game just released and things need to be ironed out or if the animations are just like that. Honestly the older AC games had better parkour animations. Yeah they were slower but to me that makes it more realistic. Unity had nice parkour. Too bad the bugs ruined the game though.
@@noobgamersland6969 Not only share the same universe, they even made modern days Assassin's Creed possible not in a Mid quality but absolute banger quality.
Personally i still prefer the mechanics of the first one, there wasn't any much aim or complicated ness of combat, you didn't even have to press anything to lock of the opponent it just how it does naturally.
Ac1 looks better to me .. I also prefer the high/low profile system of AC1 … but I haven’t actually played mirage so I can’t really judge it properly either
The parkour in AC1 looks so much smoother compared to Mirage. The character doesn't snap weirdly onto surfaces and feels like his jumps are actually "physics based" instead of having some sort of precalculated path that makes him all snappy and stuff. We really do need a parkour system overhaul with Assassin's Creed. A real one.
@@Gustav.Heinrich games used to be polished before release. Even AC Unity which was a buggy mess had none of that clipping, teleporting and overall junkiness in the parkour animations. In AC1 to AC3 you could feel the character had bodyweight, animations were clearly made after having a chat with parkour guys. In Mirage the character is literally floating in the air between scripted animations, EA does the same for sport games and it looks like crap.
The reason partially is that in Mirage the camera stops with each jump which AC1 does not do. Otherwise its pretty fluid. Snappyness was always a thing in AC but i agree some animations in AC1 look more fluid. The pole vault animation in mirage is weird, aside from being a cool thing
@@Gustav.Heinrich I stopped playing this cashcrab of a game years ago, so i'm not the part of the "commmunity". I just have functional pair of eyes. More reviews and comparisons are out already. 1 fighting style, 2 death animations, AI worse than ever, bugs going rampant, your "best parkour" glitching out when the game can't decide what animation to play... and so on. This game is unfinished mess, not even worth torrenting it. Just here to laugh, nothing personal.
ASSASSIN'S CREED 1 still holds up well in today's standards in some terms its better like the leap of faith , parkore, story , characters, smooth animations , cloth physics . It was revolutionary in 2007
It probably was revolutionary but as someone who recently played it, I'd say it would really benefit from a remake. I think some parts have aged fairly good like the parkour for example, but some parts are not really up to date, like city design and, of course the repetitive missions. I do understand that it probably has a lot of sentimental value to you, but you can tell that it is an old game. It was a revolution but AC 2 is just a HUGE leap forward.
@@AA-sw5pb I’ve played both and it’s very similar. I got the game after they promised to go back to their roots. And I didn’t like it at first but that’s when it hit me. When AC came out I thought they were the most impressive graphics ever. All these years later, I think it still holds up. For it's time, the textures and models are seriously impressive.
A major difference in thinking between those two can be summarized with the interactions with the NPCs. In the original one, they could help you but they could also be hindrances to you. If you collide too much, you fall and get caught by the guards. They'll also become hostile to you and would literally call the guards on you. In Mirage it looks like they're just there to make the city look like a city. They dumbed down the system by just trying to reproduce what's there without actually thinking about the reason and pushing the thought process further
Games used to have more details in general. Compare GTAIV with GTAV or Far Cry 1/2 with Far Cry 3. Developers had to detail the games (since graphics weren't really the strongest back then) and they had passion. Remove the passion and be in an era where graphics are naturally good. *Result: laziness.*
When they said that Mirage is going to be more like older titles I expected them to implement the parkour and combat system from the older titles, where you actually had more control over things you were doing. But instead we got a slightly reskinned Valhalla with some simple stealth mechanics.
I think it’s a huge stepping stone in returning to the older style games. It’s like a mash up of mechanics from the new games, but taking inspiration from the old games. It feels more like they’re testing the waters before a deep dive into the old style. Hopefully, when we get another game in this style it will be more fleshed out. The stealth in this game is definitely more in-depth and engaging than the old style too.
@@RiverOtter404 Wow, it has a counter base system, you still have to button mash R1 to fight the big enemy types. And the parkour is almost the same as in Valhalla, stop the cap
Very interesting comparisons mate! Mirage has certainly skipped out some things. I found it confusing how the faces and graphics of the faces are so bad
Probably because of the budget limitations and the production time limit. This was supposed to be a DLC for Valhalla and was made by a smaller Ubisoft company.
I think Mirage is a pretty good starting point and met my expectations for a “return to form” kind of game, but there’s definitely room for improvement. I think we just need better control over parkour and then I’d have little to no issues with the game
@@LeonJohnson-yi3hgbut you cannot argue the fact that Mirage has low ratings, only 3.3, and that's because Mirage is manure, it failed, if it would not fail then ratings would be 4 to 5 star, Mirage is a huge step backwards and the sooner you realize it the better, and yes Unity is way better than this iteration
Better AI, different Animations ( combat, parkour, assasinations ) and the old parkour controls maybe something new here and there but keep the compact cities/places and the Stealth focus
You should've shown the other 2 assassinations from AC1 , if you hold right click and assassinate while running you get the running one and if you walk slowly then right click and assassinate you get another one which is far cooler then the normal versino
" if you walk slowly then right click and assassinate you get another one which is far cooler" Think those were called "High Profile Assassinations" basically the assassination you use when looking to draw attention. Don't know why they took this out. Think Revelations was the last to have this (iirc).
My all time favorite was when he kicked them to their knees and plunge the blade down the back of the neck in ac1 still the most iconic and most devastating imo
Thats crazy dude.. AC1 and AC Mirage look about 5 years apart graphically but AC1 handles better mechanically. Its especially apparent when running, stealing and doing parkour.. wow.. just wow
AC1 is a really amazing game for its time. The idea of a hidden blade, the animus being a main menu screen for memories, certain movements and ways to interact etc.... so ahead of its time and so cool to see. Really shows how thought through the game was back in the day. Now they try and play it safe and reuse old game mechanics and stuff.
right, so every single game from the past is just way ahead of its time now? like i can't enter a video about an old game and not see someone saying "this game is way ahead of its time" when it's literally the same as other games on that time.
It's amazing how similar they look. They really did a good job of capturing the way Mirage felt in the Altair game. I would say AC improved the parkour significantly since Mirage, what with the inclusion of smooth ejects, the ability to modulate running speed, prec landings, and the combat feels more realistic and immersive too thanks to the sound design. Great work Ubisoft for improving upon Mirage's formula! ... Wait, Mirage came 15 years later, what am I talking about
@@tennisthelegendJust because you are too bad to learn the parkour system from the older games doesnt mean it has to be bad. You had actual control over your characters.
@@dogehasagi8643 Shut up, fan. There's no way you can say AC 1 is superior in terms of gameplay mechanics unless you are a stpid fan that will defend the old games even it has nosense.
The major difference in Assassin's Creed 1 over Mirage and only complaint I have in Mirage is you cannot hide in plain sight. A major creed of the game cannot be honored. There's two parts in the game you can use disguises but the game needed more of Basim sneaking past guards by walking past them in plain sight like how Altair would pretend to be a praying monk, or at the very least being to use to use crowd more effectively. Another minor one, I really miss stealth killing guard with the hidden blade in front of other guards and the guards confused on why one of them just died. It added a great detail about how good an Assassin Altair was and why the assassin's were so feared. I miss that being a major Assassin's Creed feature.
8:25 im guessing the comparison was running through npcs?? to those who dont know in low profile when u hold right click altair will push npcs out of the way but in high profile he will tuck in his arms knocking npcs out of the way. I feel like the video shouldve explained that as it kinda makes ac 1 look bad
They honestly need to bring this back. Not a lot people bring this feature up enough, but it gave you a lot of emergent gameplay decisions in any given chase/social stealth scenarios, like when to use low or high profile run, or how it gave you a _very good reason_ why you might wanna transition to the rooftops. The crowds (and to an extent, the parkour) are so lifeless from AC3 forwards without them as obstacles/consequences..
Actually never played AC 1, but it looks much better even without whatever feature you are talking about. In Mirage it looks like a lot of modern games, running thru people just plays "background" animation, the worst that could happen is the NPC is pushed onto the ground. There's no incentive to avoid running into people. AC 1 feels like real life, where you can't just run into people carelessly. You would make some effort even if unsuccessful to avoid people cause you might fall to the ground.
no??? go play ac1 u can knock npcs out of th way, if u dont have ur arms tucked in and u run into enemies altair trips, mfs be spreading misinformation
I totally forgot that NPCs WERE part of the game/world in the old entries.Remember the crazy guys in AC1 that shove you and draw alot of attention? remember the annoying bards in AC2 that made the stalking/assasination missions harder? i forgot which AC was it,but when you were followed there was some random npcs that punched you in order to help the guards, they also threw stones at you if you were being followed and started climbing...you had to be aware of the people too i don't really know why they removed all of that but makes this AC fan sad.
I remember first playing AC1 back in day, I was impressed with graphics and artistic style. Even if I don't really like gameplay of newer AC games, gotta give it to them how visually stunning they are.
@@ejokurirulezz Mirage just like Origins are set on a desert environment where it's really bright and not cloudy. it didn't fail visually, you are just on a hate bandwagon.
From a guy that actually played the new game, in my opinion it is well worth it. 40 dollars, way better than the other rpg ac games, and honestly it’s kinda fun. Yes it has its flaws, but it’s a step towards the right direction. Ignore the comments that simply makes fun of the game without pointing out real critiques and the positives. Try it out 🫡
After Mirage I re-bought the Ezio trilogy. Mirage on the other hand I won't touch, just like I didn't touch the atrocity that was AC Valhalla. I wish they would just make a proper new game set in Renaissance Italy and have you play as one of the apprentices Ezio trains in Rome or something. But then, honestly the biggest problem the newer games have is that the writers were all fired or left and were replaced with what I can only assume is a room full of monkeys with typewriters, whose work is then proof-read by a 12-year-old before being passed through a "Social issues" checklist.
don't. it's boring asf. the story is generic and all the missions are the same but on a different location. if you want to play it then just pirate it like i do, ubisoft doesn't care about their old games anyway.
@@radhechouhan2805 Yeah I don't like that either the parkour is okay but there's a huge stutter delay whenever Basim makes a jump if compare parkour with even previous titles AC3-Sydicate the parkour was a lot more graceful fluid and didn't look like the charters were stiff jointed
I like how AC1 has so many details and is so well built that if we just switch the textures and shadows to HD it will be as good as ACM, maybe even better because of the game being an actual assassin's gameplay instead of a one man army sim.
Parkour feels a bit janky cause it feels like basim runs at speed of 3 but jumps from roofs at speed of 10 whereas you can see how smooth the old game parkour feels

It is truly impressive comparing AC: Mirage with AC 1. In this great video, good job Gamebest, one can tell how AC1 was truly original and ahead of its time, as some people mentioned on RUclips. I am actually surprised that there are some better environmental details in AC1 than in AC: Mirage. Despite Altair not being able to swim (I read somewhere on the internet that it was due to the fact that his equipment was too heavy let him be able to swim - if someone has different (better) explanation of it, feel free to bring it up) and wielding just couple different weapons, it is still a masterpiece to this day. When I see it, I wanna play it. I also hope that Ubisoft is working on the remake, as AC1 deserves it so much!! With many achievements and other improvements. That feature of being able to break the objects in the market is truly impressive for that time of AC1 being released. I was doing it so much whenever I played this game :D Love to make mess around create chaos in any game where possible :D AC: Mirage lacks of this feature, for some unknown reason. Also, tbh, I find the combat system in AC1 cooler than in AC: Mirage. In the new AC it doesn't stand out, from my perspective. I will definitely see some good walkthrough of the new AC, because I am a big AC fan, and do not have the system to play it myself, haha, or at least a console. On PC it is really demanding, wow. Thanks Gamebest again for making this video!! I love such comparisons, plus the highlights during the video.
The environment in Mirage has better details. What you mean is less interactive. The problem is if you have so much detail like Mirage has, you can't make all of the pots a physics object without sacrificing a lot performance. You could make some of the pots breakable, but then the player would question why not all pots are breakable, so they probably disabled it for everything. Same with the lantern, especially the one that is shown in mirage is sticking to a wall instead of being in the open, that's why the developers thought it wouldn't matter. About water, back in the days only a few games had swimming animations, because it was very difficult to do or not worth the time investment. Therefore, I doubt it was scrapped because of being too heavy. And when I see AC 1, I think of the synchronizations and side missions, it was really repetitive compared to AC2/Brotherhood/Black Flag.
@@CoconutRice-fb7tx Aha, I see. Makes sense to me now. Though there are still some games out there that have some environmental destructive model or so. But the more details and possibilities to do in a video game, the more difficult it is to create it and the longer it takes to finish it. Got the point. So it is something for something, yeah. AC1 was unique at its time, yet was very repetitive. Still enjoyable, though. But sometimes I am wondering WHY it was so repetitive, not just the missions, but also the lines: like 3-4 randomly being repeated. As I mentioned, it's been long time since i heard about that theory that Altair was unable to swim due to his heavy equipment. I personally don't know the real reason why, haha. But I guess they couldn't have thought of everything. It was originally a PoP project, after all. Thanks also for the explanation with the water animation. It is interesting and it makes sense. Nowadays, even though the techs got massively improved, it is still demanding and time consuming for the gaming studio. Would say that AC: Mirage is really like a modern AC1, with some differences, and decently opened, so you get some bits of Origins too, which is one of my favorite AC games. And yes, what the game is supposed to be about, the more they are focused on the stuff around it. Impossible to think of everything, if I don't count RDR2 or TLOU.
basim climb-jumping like for 3 sizes of his body, can you try to jump with your legs at least for half your body? it felt really cool when you climbing to something tall for like 10 mins and when you up there watching the sight and your path that you overcome, you feel like it was worth it, like you completed some mini-adventure and standing on top of the world
There are some really interesting details in the original that I didn't realize were missing in Mirage, like the objects and how they react to Altaïr. But let's be real, it was wild that for the longest time you couldn't crouch in a game about stealth 😂.
@FoxySpartan117 I think that's just copium, how tf are you gonna blend in when you're in a restricted area with only guards? Assassins should be able to do both.
Both games have their ups and downs. Mirage is definitely 10x more cinematic, but for the rest, parkour was a bit of a let down, interactive objects seen to be in different areas, AC had more grounded approach refering to safer parkour (climbing slower), falling over npcs, increased collision and all that. Mirage is much more of a playground now, meant for carefree enjoyment As a side note, I absolutely love what they've been doing with camera manipulation in recent games. I always hated it in previous games and it's a massive step up now
Ac1 sucked. Bad story, boring mc, boring missions, boring future parts. Even when the game came out in it's time people thought I was a very bland and underwhelming experience. I know cuz I remember that shit when it came out lol. Ac1 is a pre cursor to far better games. It's the game you thank for all the other game that came after it, but it's definitely not the game you say is better than anything that came later.
YES the graphic improves dramatically especially when atop of building seeing the view. But apart from that we been playing the same for over a decade. I remember correctly when playing AC1 on some gamecon pre launch (I am a big fan of Prince of Persia), it was a remarkable experience of parkour assasination and sword fight. I had some excitement sweat on the controller chasing some badies and stumble from wall or people. after a decade. I dont have that feeling anymore. I played odysea as my last AC.
Climbing used to be more fun, and I much prefer the lightweight parkour of the older assassins creed compared to the heavier parkour of the more recent ones. In general, the last several games have made you feel like a heavy tank of a human. Even pushing NPCs without staggering yourself or falling down just goes to show how _heavy_ your character is. I think the animations play a huge role in it too. Overall the parkour mechanics aren't functionally that different. But you feel like an unstoppable force in Mirage, barreling through parkour without losing any speed or worrying about who or what might be in your way. In AC1, you're lightweight, each jump has to be calculated. You can parkour fast, sure, but each jump has this intent and momentum in it, which makes it feel so much more real.
@@alduinfr Because ac1 is a 17 year old game that gets compared to newer ac games and then be called ' boring ' what I mean by a mod is a simple reshade around 40mb or less 😂 it is not u fair

It's same parkour last 3 game.. and last 3 game did not gave a shit about climbing or stealth so it was okay.. But here it was important and only map is improved on that matter.

Just finished the game though it was short I really liked it and going back to the roots away from RPG is definitely what is good for the series. ive seen a lot of people say that mirage is still bad and wasnt really a fix in anything people asked but imo its a fantastic step in the right direction, they brought it back to a normal assassins creed game with a heavy focus on steal and parkour and while it definitely doesnt match up to say ac1 or 2 or 3 or any of the older AC games i definitely feel that for the assassins creed games we've gotten these past couple years heading back towards that direction was definitely perfect and as unrefined as it is at times its definitely better than i was hoping for and expecting
It's bizarre really. Even though the movement in the first AC games seem slightly janky or unatural, they are still fluid. Meanwhile, Mirage looks fluid up until the moment the "animation" has to meet its finishing point, this is a good example of it: 1:41
@@spearheadcorps1113 It's really not that great. Unity is a game people mostly love because of RUclips videos and clips of people pulling choreographed flashy and cool moves. Those videos are unfortunately not a good representation of how Unity is actually like during a casual playthroughs of the game and the viewers who watch those videos get a fake idea of how Unity is actually like. The problem with the AC franchise as a whole is the jankiness in all of them. All of the AC games are terrible at teaching the player its mechanics and features, so a lot of people miss out on the cool features and details that the pre-Unity games had. Which results in a mass amount of players believing the gameplay of the older games to be super clunky and unplayable in comparison to Unity, when that couldn't be further from the truth. AC1-Rogue are FAR more consistent and smooth in its gameplay than Unity ever was, but people mostly don't get that because it's harder to make those games LOOK good on RUclips videos and during playthroughs because of the old 7th gen graphics and fidelity and because those games are just terrible at teaching its mechanics which results in most players not being very skilled in those games (no offense to anyone who find those games to be clunky).
1. I definitely like the robbing minigame better. Its engaging and gives a chance for failure. 2. The horse gameplay has mostly improved. The one thing i found myself really missing in the parkour was being able to dash left or right the middle of running up a wall. There we a couple of instances that that really bothered me. 4. The movement and moving through crowds is way improved so good job. Sure its kinda goofy but man falling over felt awful when it happened all the time. 5. Throwing a knife is fun now. I enjoy trying to get headshots. It feels amazing when I do. Maybe if I hit the leg it should stiffle the enemies movement! 6. Water is overall improved. Very good. 7. Breaking objects is something i usually dont notice so that must mean its working as intended. 8. Old eagle vision feels...surreal. I think I prefer the old eagle vision because it almost feels like when frodo puts on the ring. Shit feels supernatural. The modern eagle vision feels like arkham asylum I guess.
I don't have much else to say for the rest. I will say I do miss having some ambient music in this new game. I go back to playing AC2 and that soundtrack just teleports me. I also miss the original plot, because it made the dive into the past interesting. It felt like there was a mystery trying to be solved. It felt like we were going back into the past to try and understand the truth. Those are my feelings on the matter.

Nah, he's talking based on today!!!@@Dt_75m
it holds better than mirage for sure.
Part 1 will always be my favorite. I grew up playing that game.
You do need hand holds to climb in mirage
Play the game first
AC 1 had more weight than the new games
The only game that really makes you feel like an expert assassin is unity.
Ah complaining started before even playing the game.😂
7:04 mirage is definitely faster, but the older games had a rock climbing type, is it slow yes??? but it made climbing more of a puzzle and gave side ejecting and back ejecting to scale buildings more satisfaction as there was a fine contrast between climbing slowly up a building and carving out a path up that was quick and efficient

One thing that annoys me so much is how choppy the jump is in mirage but in AC (2007) the jump is smooth and not choppy looking
the animations are also choppy in AC 1 but its way less noticable, i'm not exactly sure if its because of the camera movement, the animation itself warping or because of the graphics, the higher the fidelity the hard its to make something convincing (but i'm almost sure it isn't this last one).
Edit: its defently the animation xd, some of them are actually really smooth looking but the main core that is jumping between things feels all wrong indeed, the whole thing of grabbing into a big pole to then drop and jump looks like a placeholder animation.
@@Gaming_Legend2yeah ur right
Agreed. The jumping in Mirage feels weightless and Basim seems to just teleport from ledge to ledge. Don’t know if it’s just because the game just released and things need to be ironed out or if the animations are just like that.

A real one.

In Mirage the character is literally floating in the air between scripted animations, EA does the same for sport games and it looks like crap.

AC1 blew my mind back in the day and still holds up now, great memories from that game

It added a great detail about how good an Assassin Altair was and why the assassin's were so feared.

yes and you can also gentle push NPC in passif profil too, its so satisfaying to use...

I was doing it so much whenever I played this game :D Love to make mess around create chaos in any game where possible :D
AC: Mirage lacks of this feature, for some unknown reason.

Mirage is much more of a playground now, meant for carefree enjoyment
As a side note, I absolutely love what they've been doing with camera manipulation in recent games. I always hated it in previous games and it's a massive step up now
mirage might have better graphics but OG beats it in almost everything else
Even the level of detail was higher in ac1. As far as npcs and environment
This is something RPG's Creed fans never understand so far
@@Awesomefile23487Fr people are just being nostalgic
Bro, this video literally proves the complete opposite for the vast majority of things shown in it. What are you on?
One thing I appreciate about the newer games is at least horses look proportionally correct. AC1-AC3 made horses look giant
1:16 I mean I did not know that Horses have crazy pupils like that 😂
Ac mirage : Spider-man
Ac 1 : realistic man who knows parkour
YES the graphic improves dramatically especially when atop of building seeing the view. But apart from that we been playing the same for over a decade.
I remember correctly when playing AC1 on some gamecon pre launch (I am a big fan of Prince of Persia), it was a remarkable experience of parkour assasination and sword fight. I had some excitement sweat on the controller chasing some badies and stumble from wall or people. after a decade. I dont have that feeling anymore. I played odysea as my last AC.
But since origins the games are actually different
AC1 can't be compared... AC1 will always be my favorite...
Parkour slowly started to become unrealistic from the first game, like basim and Arno clinms fu*kin 5 feet in one jump.
0:50, he actually went through the horse lol :))
That parkour of Ezio jumping to the planks are like a princess jumping with a dress 😂
Look at AC1 Graphics still shining 17 years later ! with a proper MOD AC1 looks more and more stunning.
i like your positivity. but what? why would you compare a modded ac1 to mirage? that's unfair. it's like comparing a dude with steroids to someone.
@@alduinfr Because ac1 is a 17 year old game that gets compared to newer ac games and then be called ' boring ' what I mean by a mod is a simple reshade around 40mb or less 😂 it is not u fair
Imagine comparing a game from 2007 to one from 1992
This is just sad.. They were saying the were going back to roots but all they did was just put less effort in new game and market it.
Nah youre just delusional more has been put in Mirage.
@@wee566 no way they put more in Mirage than Valhalla or Origins. Mirage was planned as DLC of Valhalla and they worked little more and come up with this.. There is nothing original about the game.
They said they concentrated on stealth and parkour and they did not cared to made animations descent. It's same parkour last 3 game.. and last 3 game did not gave a shit about climbing or stealth so it was okay..
But here it was important and only map is improved on that matter.
@@otoS97 the animation part? damn you're right.
for 2007 AC1 looks insane. I bought it when I got my ps3 in 2008 and it was so impressive
Despite visual improvements it feels like they still have lost a lot of what made the original games good. Like I miss when climbing and crowd traversal had a level of challenge. The character in the new one can literally jump higher than himself vertically while climbing... Not too mention many other small details missing.
it is a year of 2024 and Altair with the Holy Land is still N1 for me.
Just finished the game though it was short I really liked it and going back to the roots away from RPG is definitely what is good for the series.
Aside from the usual AC bugs my only complain is the off centered camera - for which we had an option to turn off in valhalla btw, bringing no positive aspect for the game in anyway and only hindering some awesome throwing knife kills I could have done.
The more I see of Mirage the less impressed I am
Same here. Leaves me wondering who's buying this bare minimum
You two thots are blind
@@mgiebus1869the brain dead sheeps who just can’t help themselves
It's a lower budget $50 game that was originally supposed to be Valhalla DLC. Why are you expecting so much?
@@Dartanyoogles A DLC price Even 50 feels too much for it
AC1 felt innovative back in the day.
Mirage feels dated.
Can't believe what this franchise has become. It could have been something that released a superb game every 3 to 4 years instead of a COD.
Yeah because ac1 is totally playable and not repetitive.
@IskenderCaglarM41B441 doesn't mean it wasn't in some way innovative and ambitious in its own time. it was. just wasn't directed well. there's a difference.
know your games please. ass creed should be a franchise that's getting released like COD. But if you are 15-23 years old then you grew up when gaming got bad. so I don't blame you for feeling defensive. you know no better.
@@evantaylor1378and what is innovative about assassin's creed 1? the only good thing it serves is the parkour and that's all. literally any other part of the game is generic.
@threever1 were you around in 2007? Are you in your 20's? Then you wouldnt get it.
Assassins creed in 2007, crowd AI hasnt been done, that parkour in an open world hasnt been done. And the amount of animations they had interacting with one another at the time hasnt been done.
After that they kept the same engine
You need to tell me if you are born in 2000. Or in your 20's. Because that means you dont know what was innovative for the time. And you need to be aware of that.
@@evantaylor1378 what. you're literally making zero sense. please speak proper english.
Companies still want the game made in a year or two, which is why we keep getting these gorgeous sandboxes, where all the NPCs move/interact like a PS1 game.
Love you. Can we get a parkour comparison bw recent assassin creeds?
you highlight a minuscule detail like that the lamp moves when altair climbs on it, but you didn’t even highlight a minuscule detail like how when basim moves on water the camera gets wet which is absent in ac1. this video feels biased.
1 is still far superior , more money and more technology but we can’t get games as good or as detailed as they once were. Sad
Bruh, how? Pretty much everything is done better in mirage except for some of the animations and the parkour I guess. Even the video shows that pretty damn clearly. Stop the cap now...
@@the_seer_0421 no I feel like the old climbing and sword play was better 15 years ago, better counters and parry’s and stuff, felt more real. Now it’s just wild swinging
The delays in AC1 parkour and climbing just add to the realism.
Было бы интересно глянуть сравнение AС Мираж и AC Origins) Все таки почти 6 лет прошло) Глянуть различия за это время)
в ориджине геймплея часов на 100, а тут от силы на 20
When i see AC1 It feels like more emotional to me but ACM feel more realistic and new. Old AC Games are always emotional and interactive🙂
In the later AC you cannot jump by pressing X. You are simply limited to the Parkour the character does, but if you press X, he cannot jump
Which jump you mean exactly?
That's for every AC
I like all the assassin's Creed games . Some are better than others , but Im glad to get any assassin's Creed . Fazil assassination has to be one of the best in assassin's Creed history too.
Mirage seems like a fantastic game, and if AC1 holds up well with a great modern game, it shows how much of a beast it was and is.
Also Mirage's eagle vision is one of the best visually, in the same level as Unity's and Syndicate's
ive seen a lot of people say that mirage is still bad and wasnt really a fix in anything people asked but imo its a fantastic step in the right direction, they brought it back to a normal assassins creed game with a heavy focus on steal and parkour and while it definitely doesnt match up to say ac1 or 2 or 3 or any of the older AC games i definitely feel that for the assassins creed games we've gotten these past couple years heading back towards that direction was definitely perfect and as unrefined as it is at times its definitely better than i was hoping for and expecting
What game do you think became the game of the year?
ac1 jumping just feels natural, mirage feels like bahsim is teleporting
but i really like the aiming system from those newest games
Man, RPG era butchered the AC animations so hard.
And RPG's Creed fans failed to understand that sadly
AC 1 had cool parkour moves too, why didnt you show that?
Didn't need to since AC1 looks and feels way better thanks to it not feeling "floaty" unlike the one in all the new "rpg's creed" games😂
@@tano5934 bruh
It's bizarre really.
Even though the movement in the first AC games seem slightly janky or unatural, they are still fluid.
Meanwhile, Mirage looks fluid up until the moment the "animation" has to meet its finishing point, this is a good example of it: 1:41
Playing AC1 for the first time was quite the experience.
I played and finished it for the first time in 2023 and it still made me amazed with its details and atmosphere.
At first I was amazed but then I want to jump of off a cliff.
I NEED Altair's sassy walk for Basim!
AC peaked with Unity. The fluidity in movement there was never matched again, not even in the next sequal.
💯
Missing faces too
Story and atmosphere wise: It peaked with AC1 and Revelations
Gameplay wise: It peaked with Brotherhood
Idk man the story was meh and the parkour system was also very inconsistent at times, tho overall it's a very good game but not the peak imo
1:41 really dissappointed in the realism of that jump. its like he teleported
Nothing will ever come close of the emotion of playing AC 1 in November of 2007. Some of the best times of my live, entirely gone now.
hahaha the fact that AC1 has better and smoother freerunning is so hilarious
ac 1 winner.. but I hope to see ac origin vs mirage.
Origins is like, the optimized version of mirage which is wild
Yes the games are 16 years apart so it's amazing to see the advancement
Really? The advancement is not impressive at all
@@popjibbletz I agree. Mirage parkour even feels a little clunky and corny
Advancement? We must've watched different videos
What advancement aside from graphics?
1. I definitely like the robbing minigame better. Its engaging and gives a chance for failure.
2. The horse gameplay has mostly improved. It wish I could sprint with the horse more, because i find the stamina bar to not provide anything of value. Horses dont get winded that quickly.
God the Parkour in the new one looks like absolute trash.
