Many of the physical details of Wukong in the boss battle are very well done. The most amazing outdoor physics details are the leaves fluttering in the wind, and many leaves will not disappear, the aerodynamics when weapons are swung, and the ubiquitous hair simulation.
no, I wonder if you dig into this variety of enemy thing. if you put a lot enemies that each of them only has few moves and combo list. that doesn't count, like elden ring shit, those so-called many enemies is actually one enemy, whose moves are barely entry-level shit.
I already play God of War Ragnarok and for me it's 10/10 good story and gameplay. I've never played black myth wukong but after watching some gameplays of it I can already tell it is also 10/10. Both are great.
I have to say GOW has the better smaller intricacies of detail environmentally BMW has the better and smoother fighting system and edges out with detail on the enemies plus I love the design of the characters more in BMW. I connected more with the main character on GOW because he talks to the cast, while in BMW the main character stays silent and depends on the supporting characters and enemies to do all the talking. But both games are incredibly well done. I’m hoping BMW will turn out to be a series of games.
Ragnarök runs 70-90fps without AI bs on a PS5. It feels a billion times more responsive than Wukong. I’d prefer to see more of that than marginally better details here and there.
Wukong is a first triple AAA game done by that studio, and it has been done as it should of. It has a lot of mistakes, but they don't hinder the game too bad. Their next game, or dlc if they will fix what they did wrong, will make it worth the goty.
both looks good, but on PC the biggest determining factor for me is the performance optimization as it adds up considerably to the experience when playing a fast paced action games like these. I can run Ragnarok on ultra at a 60fps cap with very smooth frame time, almost no perceivable stutter and sadly can't say the same for Wukong, and I'd take a hyper-polished last gen title over one with all the modern bells and whistles that tanks my FPS any day of the week.
Both games are amazing, and Game Science Studios did an amazing job for a studio that only made 2 games compared to the amount of games Santa Monica Studios has made.

Lol dude I graduated animation and gaming course and the physics is almost similar because both are created in unreal engine 5 and in most of the areas you can actually see the detailed textures in God of war. Both games I cant play beacuse they are really expensive in my country and I just have a 3050 4GB with 16 GB RAM laptop. Its is not worth buying such expensive games to play on low settings on my laptop. Waiting for time when I have good pc and money. 😅😅

For rage you have; Fury (Melee strikes with you're fists), Valor (Takes from the rage meter but gives health and strength bonus), Wrath (Charge down an enemy and hit/kill them instantly with a powerful move), and Legacy (which allows you to use the Blade Of Olympus and it has its own move set). oh did I forget that not only does Kratos have Rage abilities so does Atreus which again you don't even mention, He has his Bear form and his Wolf form. don't make a comparison to something if you don't put all the cards on the table
Wukong is a great game but after playing GOW Ragnarok on my PC I was impressed with the game. It's even better than previous GOW. WUKONG 7/10 GOWR 9/10
True but GoW feels more immersive with compelling stories and relatable characters. Great character developments and the lore is in my opnion better incorporated into the game. I still enjoyed Wuking though

We have yet to know. The answer will come if Black Myth Wukong releases a completely free DLC unannounced purely for the love of the game. Valhalla was a blast and communicated that Santa Monica is here for the player. They raised the bar and I hope more of these companies see that example and are encouraged to try it.
They did confirm a dlc is in the works to be released in roughly 4 months. Don’t know if it will be free but given the experience I’ve had with the game so far I doubt it will matter. I think it will be well worth it.

The point is that you can get almost the best graphic with no artifacts on god of war with a rtx 3060. On wukong you need a 4090 and enable the ray tracing to really appreciate the ghaphic. Fun and amazing gameplay in both. The level design in wukong is trash but for variety of enemies one of the best game ever.
The only thing trash about wukongs level design is the direction and how much longer some are than others, the environment, sculptures,and the snow and sand interactions, are all amazing. I hope you weren’t talking about the environment because I don’t think anyone would agree with you on that

I enjoyed Wukong more. GoW is a great game but it plays safe on some aspects so it can be appreciated even by people who don't play games often. When it comes to difficulty, scaling isn't great. The higher the difficulty the enemies have more HP and they make more damage. Hitting one basic enemy for a minute isn't fun or challenging. It's boring. In original trilogy everything is about crowd control. New GoW doesn't have that. Don't get me wrong, combat system is good but it would be far better if we had 10-15 enemies on the screen than 4-5 with boosted HP.
You clearly only played gow3. The higher the difficulty the tougher the enemies, that's in every god of war game, I've played them all. Hell many games are like this. The most fun part is the highest difficulty coz it forces to be good and strategic. Some people say gow is a mindless button smashing that's cause they play on easier difficulties where the enemies are weak as sheet.
agreed... BMW is awesome in its own right, but for pure fun factor, story telling, its GOW for me. But that's partly because I hate (and suck at) boss battles and BMW is 75% boss battles.
GoW has build years of foundation in 3A games with huge budget and manpower , whereas BMW is a small developer with limited budged, but has delivered the game with equal quality as GoW. IMO BMW wins in many ways.
