This comparison is pretty COD skewed. MW3 isn’t even out yet, but 2042 is two years old. And every COD car tested is one you can drive, but he didn’t test any deiveable vehicles in BF. Also.. how many COD games can you even swim in at all, whereas almost every BF game you can swim in. Also, you can “peek” doors in BF, you were just doing it wrong haha.
in a couple places you pick different materials. shooting through wall in COD you picked dry wall and in BF looked like a metal sliding door. as just one example
I love how the comparison shows things you can do in MW3 and can't in Battlefield like peek through doors. But what about the other way around like things you can't do in MW3??? like fly gets, or helicopters???
Something I personally hate about the lighting of BF 2042 is how hands don't cast shadows on the weapons. On the other hand COD shadows are completey wrong, usually casting shadows in wrong angles. It feels like it doesn't consider where the direction of the lighting is coming from. Making some optics to cast shadows where there no suppused to be one. Another games like Cyberpunk also use the same technique. I would like to know about video game development to explain myself better. Modern Warfare 2 (2009) is probably the best of either series, nothing else from either series compares to that era of clans and trickshotting it was literally a culture you had to be there to get it. MW3 and BF3 were both amazing though
Mw 2019 was the greatest in graphics, animation and detail, literally with the ghost skin, even if you didn’t have a pistol in your attachments, because it had a gun on the skin you could use it climbing ladders

Animations/Sounds: COD Models: Battlefield 2042 Don't get me wrong, COD really outperformed Battlefield even to this day, but the constant butchering of gun models since 2019 due to legislation and licensing limitations makes 2042 a little better in portraying weapons in video games in the 2020s
some of these comparisons don't make much sense, the wall penetration test for cod was using a house wall while for battlefield you used some weirdly shaped metal wall. the ladder test is odd because why would someone hold as pistol while using both hands to climb? It would make sense if you pull the gun out after stopping but him holding it while climbing is unrealistic, foolish and would be uncomfortable and clunky. These games also take place decades apart so the suspension test doesn't make sense either because vehicles in 2042 could have some kind of modern dampening or something. I'm not trying to bash the guy I'm just trying to point things out, great video!
COD Modern Warfare 2 on PS3 had the best sound effects and best simulation. Activision seems to have gone the Black Ops engine route. Kinda sad considering we have moved on to more advanced game consoles. In current games, the chopper sounds like a ceiling fan. Guns without silencers sound like they have silencers on. The RPG simulation and sound effects are weak. Sentry guns sound like a dog scratching the door.
Mw2 sound effects of guns were really bad. Also u can put good sound effects on any engine. And also black ops 3 engines water simulation and smokes casting a real time shadow is still quite impressive
I see all these people trying to give both of the games a participation prize. It would all be true if there wasn't battlefield 1 with the craziest graphics and details. Also Far Cry 2 had some incredible unmatched details for an open world fps game (old but gold).
many of those details are design choices for example: It makes little sense to waste money and dev time to make cars bounce when you jump on them in bf because it is much bigger game and such detail is implemented to show players in close quarters games that there might be player camping Same goes for aiming while climbing the ladder and bullet penetration - it would add unnecessary complexity to a game with big maps where players might be hidden in many different places
@@J..0p_4nQ there is a difference between immersion and gameplay design. Why not make bf like tarkov or Arma but no one would enjoy playing something like that...
5:12 That just shows how advanced CS1.6 was for it''s day. And every one is considering it a bug. But now is cosidered a feature....
U can swim in 5 call of duty games and in all that 5 games u can swim underwater. These games are black ops 3, black ops 4, Cold War, mw2, mw3
in multiplayer?@@lorol-zu7yv
This video really, REALLY makes me wanna play MW3
in a couple places you pick different materials. shooting through wall in COD you picked dry wall and in BF looked like a metal sliding door. as just one example
indeed, all concrete walls can be destroyed in BF
I love how the comparison shows things you can do in MW3 and can't in Battlefield like peek through doors. But what about the other way around like things you can't do in MW3??? like fly gets, or helicopters???
This vs Battlefield 5 is a better comparison. I think you should do that next, they put way more attention into that game
5:25 based on wall vs steel. Genius comparison lmao
But you have played both COD and BF you probably noticed how that.
Both games are too much amazing i always love to watch their gameplay sadly i don't have a PC now to play these but maybe in future.
Test seemed a little biased. Car suspensions, but not destructsbility...
Car destructibility or map destructibility?
I assume you can destroy the car in both but map destruction is a battlefield only gimmick
Watched more of the video, I'm surprised they did show map destruction in this comparison
@@FriedProfile Also he didn't compare maps size. On "others" fragment the autor compare M97 and G17 for what? And the last thing which make me laugh is when he shows vases destructibility XD In CoD u can destroy some vases, but not all, but in BF u can destroy A ENTIRE MAP
@@reinhard745 I remember in Battlefield 2042, I think it was season 4 or 5? Whichever that small map was that had the two buildings that were predestroyed.
I wish we had destruction like back in bad company, but when I first saw those buildings with holes in the roof, I thought Battlefield was finally back.
And then I tossed a handful of C4 trying to blow another hole and, nothing
Bad Company 2 >>> MW3 remastered
@@FriedProfile agree. I miss that old days too…
It only shows characteristics that mw3 has, however it does not show those that BF2042 has, for example, destruction of buildings, variable weather, which affects visibility, tornadoes, sand storms, rain, etc. other details such as dirt on weapons or operators when interacting with the map, mud, rain, etc. instead of looking at the details of mw3, I end up angry at comparisons that aren't equally fair to both.
There is almost none of destructable buildings in bf2042

And also it’s better to play this maps in original games. I did played every bf game since bf bad company 1 that was exclusive to 7th generation consoles. And bf2042 is the worst one. Even worse then bf1, but at the time bf1 was released I thought they can’t make bf game worse
@@lorol-zu7yv wft dude Did you play bf2042 or since when have you not played?, valparaiso, arica, nohar channels, caspian border, spearhead, stealth, operation ourbrake, exhibition. They are main bf 2042 all of warfare maps. There is destruction like in BF4, if not more, constructions like the Shanghai skyscrapers or the Lancang Dam were scripted events. There are maps like Hourglass before the rework that entire points of houses were destructible by vehicles, walls in the debris map before the rework as well. It was simply a bad comparison of this channel, but I imagine it achieved what it was looking for, an audience that watched and commented.

Mw 2019 was the greatest in graphics, animation and detail, literally with the ghost skin, even if you didn’t have a pistol in your attachments, because it had a gun on the skin you could use it climbing ladders
A cool idea would be if you break a widow while you are too close to it, you get lightly damaged. Sure that might effect gameplay a bit but it would be realistic lol

@@nicolasch7039buddy battlefield mechanics are so much better then cod
Oh man…
5:25 why did you shoot at metal wall instead of a normal wall like you did in mw3?
Animations/Sounds: COD
Models: Battlefield 2042
Don't get me wrong, COD really outperformed Battlefield even to this day, but the constant butchering of gun models since 2019 due to legislation and licensing limitations makes 2042 a little better in portraying weapons in video games in the 2020s
some of these comparisons don't make much sense, the wall penetration test for cod was using a house wall while for battlefield you used some weirdly shaped metal wall. the ladder test is odd because why would someone hold as pistol while using both hands to climb?
Also Far Cry 2 had some incredible unmatched details for an open world fps game (old but gold).
mw3 looks like the best cod we got in the last 5 years since bo4 gameplay wise with mw2 being the worst

many of those details are design choices for example:
It makes little sense to waste money and dev time to make cars bounce when you jump on them in bf because it is much bigger game and such detail is implemented to show players in close quarters games that there might be player camping
Same goes for aiming while climbing the ladder and bullet penetration - it would add unnecessary complexity to a game with big maps where players might be hidden in many different places
Battlefield fan thinks that the games shouldnt be immersive
@@J..0p_4nQ there is a difference between immersion and gameplay design. Why not make bf like tarkov or Arma but no one would enjoy playing something like that...
It's like saying that Forza horizon doesn't have simulation like driving but rather a mix of arcade and simulation and that makes it less immersive. Except most people enjoy such gameplay design
I also hate when people make videos about "detail comparison" and they go ahead and compare mechanics. Mechanics are not some "oh cool" things you see in the game when you pay attention to them, it was a deliberate by the dev team to make things work like they are.
@@thebigsam 💯

Ill always love battlefield for rhe destruction that can be caused in a map. Like leveling buildings 😝
Wait till the new battlefield comes out then do a fair comparison on the 2
As a PC player, in this type of games i really don't care about phisics and deatils, it only slows the game even more, if i want some realism i go play some tarkov, i want some fast action, most of the times u won't even have time to notice all this, in my opinion is all a waste of resources instead doing the game actually likeable and comfortable to play
