Goku's statement describing Majin buu as a "naughty, spoiled, child who didn't know any better" was spot on accurate. Buu was taught to believe that If anyone crossed you or someone denied you total *control* of *everything and anything* you desire, they should pay with their life. As soon as he understood it was wrong, he decided not to do it anymore. This version of Buu wasn’t a bad guy, he was just misguided by evil creeps who manipulated him.
After that whole thing with the blind boy, I also started to think that his infantile nature made him unable to realize that what he was doing was wrong. I was also very upset when, at the time, I thought that Buu was going to have to die, come the end of the Buu saga. I can’t even begin to describe how happy I was when I realized that Buu was going to live.
After the 'passing of the torch' theme ended in the Buu Saga I saw it as a median for the development of Goku and Vegeta's relationship, and as a way for Hercule to redeem himself for the lies he told the people of Earth. This scene shows what the man is behind that annoying ego of his and how a peaceful approach can bring about the most change.
@@tkhulk9044 Well said! I'm overanalysing I know, but I feel like Hercule isn't as bad as he appears, and that his ego and lying etc. come from a place of feeling inadequate and just wanting people to like him. "You're the only real friend I have" backs this up; he might have millions of adoring fans, but he doesn't have any real friends because he's unable to be vulnerable around them because he has to put on this media facade of being the invincible martial arts champion that is never scared, like an exaggerated parody of himself. I mean, he *was* the greatest martial artist in the world as far as he (and almost everyone else) knew - then all of a sudden these godlike aliens turn up firing giant laser beams and punching holes in mountains making a complete mockery of his life's work; you can't blame him too much for the less-than-honest way he reacted to the situation. He's tied with Vegeta for being my favourite DB character.
you know this scene right here might just be the very best moment in dbz history. i proves that you don't need energy blasts or golden hair to beat the bad guy maybe sometimes you can just be there friend. i know it sounds silly but it works here. and this is also the scene that really made hercule one of my favorite characters on the show
It feels like a moment that would be in classic Dragon Ball. I can just picture Kid Goku hearing about a crazy strong, pink monster, flying straight to it aboard the Flying Nimbus, the two gearing up to fight, one of their stomachs growl, they go to town on a buffet, leading into them playing tag or something, and the episode ends with Goku and Buu being best pals, possibly at Bulma's chagrin.
It works on some dumb individuals like Buu, or highly intelligent like Tien. But it wouldn't have worked with creatures like Cell, Frieza or Vegeta. Vegeta only got on their side because he needed allies for his own goals and because he became obsessed with surpassing Goku. He still was on his own seperated from the others during a party or gathering of both families.
Let me get this straight: Supreme Kai is afraid of Buu because Buu was an unstoppable force and was told to do so by bibbidi and Babbidi because he was mentally a child
kid buu is the pure evil monster. fat buu is basically a child with the power of a billion nuclear warheads being used by evil people for their own gain

+Dom Cruise Majin Buu is evil. The only reason this Majin Buu is kindhearted is because he absorbed the Grand Supreme Kai. But Majin Buu is pure evil in general.
I like how all it took to stop fat buu was that he just needed someone to talk to him as a freind. Funny how in this world with all these overly powerful warriors that Mr. Satan's the one who think of trying to talk it out. Sometimes, not all the the time, but still sometimes that all you really need to do.
sometimes, a scary villain isn't a universe-destroying monster, hellbent on blowing up every planet they come across. sometimes, it's just a psycho with a gun.
Say what you want, the true villain of the entire Buu saga is this prick with the gun. Were it not for him, literally the entire chain of events that follows would have instead been Mr. Satan, Buu and Bee living in peaceful harmony and Gotenks pissing off Piccolo for years to come.
1:27 - 1:31 _"Ohh Mr Satan. You are truly the GREATEST!"_ If everyone subconscious talked to them like that, there would be far less suicides/depression or general self loathing........ignoring the _Satan_ part though.
F cking Michael Vick cameo and the voice to go with it. I'm tearing up with laughter. Re watching this scene I can't really remember why the guy just randomly shot a dog though.
Hercule may not be very strong, however he is a good speaker. He's people person and be charismatic with the general public. This has provided useful in more than one situation when brute strength just couldn't be used.
+Joshua Plotkin That's the whole thing about being good and evil. It's all about personal experiences. In your experience you can be good but in someone else eyes you're evil. That's how it is. Till you grow and be more aware of your actions you won't see it yourself. So you convinced yourself you're good
I know I'm not crazy about Hercule Satan. But I have to admire him for getting the answers out of Majin Buu and for getting him to accept that killing people is a bad thing. Piccolo was right to have told Videl that her father nearly adopted Buu a life of peace.
This was actually really emotional to watch. He was sent to kill buu but he ended up bonding with him and they became best friends for life. It shows you that Buu wasnt all that bad and there was some good in him. He was just following his orders given by the evil wizards babidi and bibidi. Him caring for the dog and Hercule shows that he has a heart and is not just a brainless monster. Hercule was the only one who didnt give up on Buu and treated good. He couldve killed buu at any point but he didnt because he believed he could change. Their friendship was so heartwarming and the best part of the Buu Arc to me.
*”The best way to defeat an enemy is to befriend them.”* -Sensei Wu Mr. Satan literally just defeated a Powerful Being by showing him the righteous path and befriend him. If you ask me, I’d do the same for Bad Pretty Ladies.
When the main DBZ characters tried to fight Buu, here we see Mr Satan, even if scared, trying to befriend Buu and convince him to change from his evil ways, it almost worked
"I got this guy to change his ways and I didn't have to throw a punch or blow him up!"Actually you already did both of those things... worked out well LOL
Apparently, he thought dynamite would be more effective. Vegeta already tried exploding and it was about a thousand times stronger than a nuke, still didn't kill Buu.
@Moonclaw1000: Yeah, same here. But what I loved about this was seeing just how innocent Buu really was, especially @ 0:15 to 1:20. I also loved how Hercule did what no other DBZ character could do... he reasoned w/ him. This is a perfect example of how (sometimes) talking things over & coming to a mutual understanding w/ 1 another can solve a lot more problems & be way more beneficial than wildly using your fist. Kudos to you, Hercule!
It's interesting how simple it was to convince Buu, AND how it MATTERED to Buu whether killing was good or bad. If he was truly stupid or devoid of morals, it being bad would make no difference to him. Thank you Kai essence.
I love how hercule beat buu twice. Once by convincing him killing is wrong, and the 2nd by convincing the world to believe in Goku to give him their energy
Am I the only one who thinks the development of Satan and Buu's relationship is excellently done?

I like how all it took to stop fat buu was that he just needed someone to talk to him as a freind.
Funny how in this world with all these overly powerful warriors that Mr. Satan's the one who think of trying to talk it out.
Sometimes, not all the the time, but still sometimes that all you really need to do.
Nostalgic critic: Bee will live !!!
oh Mr Satan you are the greatest !!!
Christian Small doesn't take a genius to figure out that one
Buu: Is to kill people a bad thing?
Hercule: Yes! It is a bad thing!
Buu: Then no more!
These are the moments when you realise how amazing and at the same time how terrible world can be.
Fat buu sounds like the love child of elmo and mort
Lol yeah
Im guessing no one is gonna talk about to Micheal Vicks face showed up outta nowhere...
sometimes, a scary villain isn't a universe-destroying monster, hellbent on blowing up every planet they come across. sometimes, it's just a psycho with a gun.
Buu Bee....was i the only one who got that joke
oh i get it.. sounds like boo bee
Ivan Yang Boobies :D
@@kasegami45 weirdo😂

Seriously, he did this and he saved vegeta so that goku can kill kid buu.
He really is a champ.
1. Go to the movies 🍿
2. Play with a puppy 🐶
3. Watch football 🏈
Awww that sounds like a fun day with Buu
Glad to see that Bee lived a long, Loved and healthy life.
This really solidifies why buu (at least this form) was the most sympathetic villain in all of dragon ball Z
Say what you want, the true villain of the entire Buu saga is this prick with the gun. Were it not for him, literally the entire chain of events that follows would have instead been Mr. Satan, Buu and Bee living in peaceful harmony and Gotenks pissing off Piccolo for years to come.
I think this would be Hercule's biggest and greatest moment of history. He actually convinced a monster to stop being evil...hilarious.
Michael Vick, lol. Usually I hate that sort of shit when people throw pics in, but that was good. Kudos.
1:27 - 1:31 _"Ohh Mr Satan. You are truly the GREATEST!"_
If everyone subconscious talked to them like that, there would be far less suicides/depression or general self loathing........ignoring the _Satan_ part though.
2:25- Lol that just made my day XD
oh my god X'D
Oh that was a joke...I see...
I hated Hercule in Cell Saga. But after Buu Saga, my views completely changed about him lol
2:02 NO NO NO ...!
2:20 GOD FUCKING DAMN IT YOU VDUXKINF VDKDJSKSKDKW
That Michael Vick part had my dying
I love the fact that Mr. Satan defeated the universal doombringer just by using enough persuasion.
He basically pulled a Naruto.
Hercule saves the world without stupid powers, transforming, or even killing anyone! He is twice the hero of everyone else combined!
majin buu is not the one that destroy the earth, people are
O dang
Deep
Read that in Buu's voice 😂
F cking Michael Vick cameo and the voice to go with it. I'm tearing up with laughter. Re watching this scene I can't really remember why the guy just randomly shot a dog though.
He shot the dog cause he was a sociopath who also shot an innocent man and lady
basically Mr Stan used talk-no-jutsu just really really short lol
Naruto might need some pointers
"Make the bark noise" 😂😂😂
Befriending Buu is something not even Goku would’ve attempted to do.
Bee's death is sadder than any of Yamcha's death. It's okay Bee Buu is here to save you.
Hercule may not be very strong, however he is a good speaker. He's people person and be charismatic with the general public. This has provided useful in more than one situation when brute strength just couldn't be used.
Buu is such a child, even more than Goku. He doesn't know killing is wrong, he thinks it is all just a game. Buu play. Not evil, just naïve.
+Joshua Plotkin That's the whole thing about being good and evil. It's all about personal experiences. In your experience you can be good but in someone else eyes you're evil. That's how it is. Till you grow and be more aware of your actions you won't see it yourself. So you convinced yourself you're good
Its wholesome thay buu stops killing because he realizes it was bad and he not just entirely evil
I know I'm not crazy about Hercule Satan. But I have to admire him for getting the answers out of Majin Buu and for getting him to accept that killing people is a bad thing. Piccolo was right to have told Videl that her father nearly adopted Buu a life of peace.
When the ATF agent comes looking for non-existent threat enhancers
This episode taught me friendship rules over all
This was actually really emotional to watch.
*”The best way to defeat an enemy is to befriend them.”* -Sensei Wu
Mr. Satan literally just defeated a Powerful Being by showing him the righteous path and befriend him. If you ask me, I’d do the same for Bad Pretty Ladies.
buu's voice in english dub is just adorable
I have to say Herucle went 100 notches up in my book in this arc
When the main DBZ characters tried to fight Buu, here we see Mr Satan, even if scared, trying to befriend Buu and convince him to change from his evil ways, it almost worked
I cried when the puppy got shot
I spit my drink out because of the edit at the end 😂
"I got this guy to change his ways and I didn't have to throw a punch or blow him up!"Actually you already did both of those things... worked out well LOL
Apparently, he thought dynamite would be more effective. Vegeta already tried exploding and it was about a thousand times stronger than a nuke, still didn't kill Buu.
That Michael Vick thing had me rolling. Kudos.
Hercule almost saves the world, but the ATF stops him.
So are we all just gonna ignore 2:25?
Who is he?
@@RodavMetal92Michael Vick
The sweetest thing is, their friendship actually ended genuine ^^ i love this episode
if hercule could convert his spirit into energy attacks he could seriously be the most power person in this series XD
It has actually been said, if he ever applied himself and trained earnestly, he has the same level of capability as Master Roshi!
And this is why Hercule is the best DBZ character.
yeeeeah
It's interesting how simple it was to convince Buu, AND how it MATTERED to Buu whether killing was good or bad. If he was truly stupid or devoid of morals, it being bad would make no difference to him. Thank you Kai essence.
Buu wasn't really evil, he was just like a naughty child who didn't know better
Showed buu what loosing someone feels like.
Buu and Hercule are the absolute best relationship in the entire Dragon Ball universe and you can't convince me otherwise.
Buu: Is to kill people a bad thing?
Hercule: Yes it is a bad thing.
Buu: Is to lie to people a bad thing?
Hercule: Hell no. I do it all the time.
I love how hercule beat buu twice. Once by convincing him killing is wrong, and the 2nd by convincing the world to believe in Goku to give him their energy
michael Vick was the part best vid ever
Best bromance in anime history.
I wanted Hercule dead but after this part i liked him lol
A reminder that talking does more than fighting
Should've wished bee back with dragon balls in battle of gods cause they had no use apparently
He's still alive Toriyama probably just forgot to add him in.
mrprotoman145 Actually Bee was in Battle of Gods. In the extended version he does appear.
Kurami Rocket Noted.
he was also in the one where vegetas little bro came to earth for help
Piccolo said it best.
Mr satan will never be able to do what we do. But his strength is his compassion
Majin Buu just become good due to Supreme Kai. without his Genes or something, Buu is just another freaking Killing Thing
2:23 How come that, in all these years this video was released, nobody talked abt this?
