I love that you both can see the humor in Richard Dreyfuss' facial expressions because I don't believe I've ever heard another reactor pointing that out and I personally loved that about the movie. I actually saw this way back in '91 in the theatre and seen it a ton of other times since. My favorite comedy by both actors.
Had a cat show up to my house one night. Came in through the dog door and just decided to move in. We had two dogs, two other cats, he didn't care! We named him Bob in honor of this movie.
Absolutely LOVE that you’re reacting to this! One of my favorite movies , so many lines that are hilarious 😂 I can’t wait to watch you both laugh so hard and enjoy this gem of a movie. ❤❤❤❤❤
In my opinion, Richard Dreyfuss is one of the greatest actors of the 20th century. His performances in 'American Graffiti,' 'Jaws,' 'Close Encounters,' and 'The Goodbye Girl'-for which he won an Oscar-are all well worth watching. His reported discord with Bill Murray likely served the film well, considering the plot.
Yeah, Dreyfuss is pretty amazing indeed. I added your suggestions to our list. Btw, I met Candy Clark who played Debbie in "American Graffiti" in acting class many years ago. Never saw the movie though. Thanks for sharing! (:
In my abnorm psych class in high school i taught a week of class and we watched 3 movies throughout, this was one of them. Love your response to it. Great great film. Important how they both have different issues and heal each other.

It shows very well that mental illness also very much depends on the perspective and the company. People willing to see it as fun and being your friend..helping you and spending time with you help you more than any medication or doctors (obviously there is limits)...my point is..if you are being nice to people like that and really try to help, you can make life for a lot of them better
Really, y’all just gonna casually drop one of my favorite movies from when I was growing up? Love this movie. I have a long list for y’all to go through. I didn’t get a film degree for no reason, well, shit, I might have.😜🍻
The psychiatrist is a Freudian. The busy is of Dr. Sigmond Freud. He styles his facial hair as Freud did. He named his children after Dr. Freud and his sister Anna. It is said Freud had an unnatural love for his sister. As did Leo for his sister Lily. This is brilliant writing. And genius acting. Richard Dreyfus is not too far from the character he portrays. An egotistical premadona and all around ashhole. Which is why there was real life tension on site. But I think all of these professional actors used that animosity. Making this an adorable film. And I agree having Bob being an intelligent person was the right choice. And only Bill Murray could make such an annoying character lovable. ❤❤❤❤❤
OMG I LOVVVVE this movie!!! You guys have done the 2 best Bill Murray movies now. So few people react to this movie I'm so glad it didnt get lost in time. Thank you so much for this. I laughed till the tears fell. It's just a wonderful feel-good funny movie. Dreyfus is one of my very favourite actors. But i gotta say it's Mrs Boss that stole the show. She laughed and laughed almost from the first minute. Once again, an enjoyable evening spent at the movies with my favourite YT reactors.

When you re-watch this movie, you realize that when Dr. Marvin leaves himself notes on his recorder he nails Bob's diagnosis and exactly what he needs is exactly what he gets from Marvin.
Mrs Boss, You said you have a fear of elevators. Elevators are very safe these days, BUT one thing to keep in mind is they do get stuck/break down a lot more than people think. I was a Maintenance Engineer for several tall/large hotels and office buildings. There is one thing I always look at before getting on. How many people are on and if I don't see enough room for me to sit down comfortably I will wait for the next elevator. The last thing you want is to be stuck on a jam packed elevator for hours with no room to move. I have seen it take 5 minutes to get the elevator working but I also have seen it take 5 hours.

Hey, I'm the one who recommended this! (... I'm special!) Another old comedy with a cult following is Captain Ron. And the "Bean" movie is good too, if y'all haven't seen it! Frank Oz directed this. He got his start with the Muppets. He's arguably best known for being the voices of both Miss Piggy and Yoda. (He's an excellent director too.)

Excellent reaction, guys, you have such amazing chemistry! - Some folks take this film too seriously, but some also don't take it seriously enough, and I believe there's a perfect balance inbetween where one can appreciate the jokes and the drama to the fullest, and few seem to nail it, but you guys do. I don't feel like you missed anything in this one. Great vid! :D
Jessica, (also my daughter-in-law's name), a classic romcom you will both love is PRETTY WOMAN, starring Julia Roberts and Richard Gere. Great story and acting, not to mention the famous theme song by Roy Orbison. Definitely a "feel good" movie.
Thanks, Jeri. We just reacted to "Primal Fear" with Richard Gere and a buddy of mine mentioned "Pretty Woman" with Richard Gere also, so I added it to our list. I know about the movie and have seen the trailer, but never watched it all the way through.
I still think this is one of the funniest movies ever made 😂 but one thing I read on was on set Bill Murray got under Richard Dreyfuss' skin so bad that all his anger expressed in the acting was authentic which made magic happen in this one
Yeah, it IS a super funny movie. And yes, I'm talking a bit about Bill & Richard not getting along in my "Afterthoughts" video. Thanks for watching! (:
Oddly, the script to this is a rewrite of 1962's Cape Fear which is a terrifying thriller. (Coincidentally the Scorsese remake of CF came out at the same time as Bob.)
Loved "What about Bob". But if you think that WHAT ABOUT BOB is funny, you certainly should watch the 1997 Bill Murray film: The Man Who Knew Too Little. You're gonna love it. I laughed through the whole movie. Like Jim Carrey, Eddie Murphy, Dan Aykroyd, & Chevy Chase, Bill Murray and more, also developed through late night show SNL, before hitting it big.
You 2 are infectious. Especially your gorgeous, sincere, genuine wife. First time watching you guys. Mr Boss is a little reserved which I get. Mrs Boss tries to be reserved but the young girl in her wont allow it lol and thankfully. One of my favorite movies but Mrs Boss made me love it more than ever before. Again, sincerity and genuine are overpowering traits. Id laugh and then she'd almost spit her drink and it made me very happy lol. Anyways thank you guys, appreciate people who seem normal. Cheers
Lol I have tourettes, there's much more to it then calling names and cussing. Funny things, but theres also more serious and dangerous things too. One man used to hit his head so hard and often he actually beat himself to death. I almost broke my neck when I was younger twice.
Long time seeing this movie and it’s cool you guys did it. If you enjoy the whole opposites genre. Have you ever seen the classic The Odd Couple. If not then definitely put it on the list. Stars Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Do not mistake it for the reboot. The original was from the 60’s. And if you like or liked it, then also check out the original The Out Of Towners also with Jack Lemmon. Against don’t do the remake with Steve Martin I believe. Two classics.
the movie is different for me now that ive heard an interview with richard dreyfuss about it. he said something like "bill murray was terrible to me between takes, saying horrible rotten things to me every chance he got. i wondered, is he doing this on purpose to make my performance better? maybe he thinks if i despise him that will come through in the film? but he never apologized, never explained himself, we never spoke again, and as far as im aware, bill murray and i really hate each other". so what was a fine comedy has turned into a bit of a tragedy from my viewing perspective , knowing that one of the stars of the movie was being bullied by the other.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I've read about that as well and I mention it in my "Afterthoughts" video: ruclips.net/video/nkcEARXD9_w/видео.htmlsi=3tyW9sAQkCNUEtre

LOL thats me eating food I love or is especially made well.
Haha... Mmmm... Mmmmm... LOL. thanks for watching! (:
Lol I have tourettes, there's much more to it then calling names and cussing. Funny things, but theres also more serious and dangerous things too. One man used to hit his head so hard and often he actually beat himself to death. I almost broke my neck when I was younger twice.
That sounds pretty serious indeed! 0-:
Long time seeing this movie and it’s cool you guys did it. If you enjoy the whole opposites genre. Have you ever seen the classic The Odd Couple. If not then definitely put it on the list. Stars Jack Lemmon and Walter Matthau. Do not mistake it for the reboot. The original was from the 60’s. And if you like or liked it, then also check out the original The Out Of Towners also with Jack Lemmon. Against don’t do the remake with Steve Martin I believe. Two classics.
Thank you! I put both movies on our list! (:
the movie is different for me now that ive heard an interview with richard dreyfuss about it. he said something like "bill murray was terrible to me between takes, saying horrible rotten things to me every chance he got. i wondered, is he doing this on purpose to make my performance better? maybe he thinks if i despise him that will come through in the film? but he never apologized, never explained himself, we never spoke again, and as far as im aware, bill murray and i really hate each other". so what was a fine comedy has turned into a bit of a tragedy from my viewing perspective , knowing that one of the stars of the movie was being bullied by the other.
Thanks for watching! Yeah, I've read about that as well and I mention it in my "Afterthoughts" video: ruclips.net/video/nkcEARXD9_w/видео.htmlsi=3tyW9sAQkCNUEtre
