This car is absolutely loaded for the price
The $1900 GT2 package is definitely a must have!👍
I took a test drive the other day (it was white as well). I loved it! The looks, handling, engine sound, etc. were fantastic!
I own a 2023 Kia Forte GT2 with the DCT transmission and I love this car ! 🎉🎉 If you think this car is nice stock you have to see it how fast and responsive it gets after installing aftermarket parts it will blow your mind !!!!! 🤯
I changed the whole exhaust system starting from the Down pipe, mid pipe and axel-back exhaust , added a oil catch can a BOV with the selenoide, an CAI with the snorkel , engine struts bar a mid point chasis bar a rear sway bar , lowering springs and a JB4 with a tune from N75 . It really changes the way this car feels and there's more upgrades that you could install to this car is unbelievable !!!
Man 😅 how much would you charge for that? 😅
Great! I’d like to know how much was all of it.
After putting that much money into it you might have been able to get a K5 GT.
@@shivpalps7653 the K5 GT is almost 10K more than the Forte GT I paid 27k for mine " Forte GT " if I was looking to buy the K5 GT I would have bought a Stinger right ?😎 😁 The K5 GT and the Forte GT are too different cars one is a mid size the other is a compact and the Forte was built to take it to the track !
@@GR33ZY.A1 you can do all this yourself it's not difficult all you need is the right tools and time to do it 🙂
Doing rips with almost no gas left, thats very good for the fuel pump especially on a brand new car.
as long as its not bone dry it shoudnt matter

I keep my eyes open for those videos!
That faux carbon that you said is actually an ambient light that change colors when you change modes between normal , sport or smart or you can choose the color you want from the 10.25 flat screen
Thanks for the intro, I just bought this exact car and I am waiting now for delivery
You'll be more than happy bro
Omg it took 7monts until I got mine x.x but absolutely loving everything about the car it’s worth the wait!
I had to do the same, it's hard to find the GT2 loaded for some reason, and I wanted black on black, with summer tires, so I ended up paying a little more than most, but it was worth it! Florida weather, not really needing the all-season. They found the car the same day, it only took about 7 hours, every option available plus a few they don't tell you about ^^
Insane new Kia Forte sedan I wanted to buy.
I love my 2024 Kia Forte GT in white (auto). Fun car. Mine is a base one because I was trying to hit a number. Paid $25,410.
Just got mine yesterday!!! Same car, white with GT2. I watched this review at least 10 times the last month or so idebating if i should pull the trigger. At 35, I’ve always driven “boring” cars, iI was having the time of my life driving the GT yesterday, only to realize I accidentally had it in normal mode 😂 put it into sport and wow. Now I just hope it lasts a long time!
Hey man how u liking it so far? I’m getting this same one hopefully in a couple days
@@nickcurto4004still loving it! Everyday I love hopping in and look forward to driving it. 1500 miles, so still young, but great!
The comment about the lack of road noise is very interesting. I have this same car (except it’s a’23) and the loud road noise is the thing I like least about it. The wind noise is surprisingly quiet though.
If you have the GT/2 it has an upgraded sport suspension, so it's only natural that you get more road noise. The car is very efficient aero wise, so wind noise shouldn't be an issue below 100mph.
I’ve had two GT2’s, both black. The 2022 was the manual and came with Michelin Pilot Sport tires standard. I loved that car, so when my needs changed I bought another one - a 2023 with the DCT I use as a daily driver. Each of them came in under $28K - a great value for everything you get.
Thanks much for doing this awesome review. I never thought I could see myself driving around in a 4 door but for this car I would make an exception! Im driving a low mileage Civic coupe right now but im thinking I need to at least take this rocket for a test drive. Years ago I had an AWD Eagle Talon TSi turbo and that turned out to be my favorite car ever. When you got into it the acceleration reminded me a lot of the Eagle. So anyway I'm over here in Largo but I might have to get myself across the Howard Frankland and pay this dealer a visit ! 🙂
I bought a 23 gt2 and yes must have the gt2 package , actually got scared the first time I stomped on it this car has some real pop to it
I have a 2010 Forte with almost 200k miles. Really interested in maybe upgrading to a GT.
Original engine and transmission?
Yes
That's kind of inspirational, tbh!
I honestly believe there's no better deal on a sport tuned stock sedan, but there's one trick, you must get the GT2! DO not settle for a GT, there's so much difference between them, it's crazy. I have one, and LOVE IT! Best value for mileage/power, quality, features possible below 35k.
thank you so much for this review , its just what I was looking for!
I bought a 23 Currant Red GT last year and love it.
I have the same vehicle. Everything you said is true except for the ride over rough roads and pot holes. When this car hits a pothole it feels like the rim is damaged beyond repair and it really really bottoms out. If Kia could improve the suspension and tires this vehicle would be almost perfect.
great review, thanks. i owned a 2010 and a 2015 forte (2 liter, 173 hp...supposedly) and now drive a 2019 jetta which i love (have gotten 55mpg).
Amazing review bro.
I just bought one today in Sporty Blue
28k
Heated/Cooled seats
DCT
Best bang for the buck
Nicely Done, Thanks for the review.
This Forte is based on the 2017 Elantra Sport. It's a nice car. Hyundai/Kia did a good job. I feel like it's a little expensive though considering the Mazda3 Preferred has nearly the same power standard and it too has a premium small car vibe, but for less money.
Issue is with the mazda3 is that its incredibly bare bones in terms of features compared to this. Youre really paying for what you get here. Show me another car that has this many features (((especially the ventilated seats and rear air vents)))) for less than 36k
Perhaps KIA has added some sound deafening to its under chassis?
If it’s comes manual transmission worth buying
It comes 6 speed manual transmission but the DCT is faster and better and gas mileage !!!
Yes, its fun as hell pushing through mountain roads in w Virginia with the manual.
i need a comparison between this and the mazda 3 turbo
That's a tough comparison, what won me on KIA was the warranty, and over all fit and finish of the car, it just felt more fun to drive, not to say the Mazda isn't fun, the GT just had more to offer. EDIT: I just remembered, I felt like the Mazda had more weird noises, and cheap plastics, whereas the GT was solid everywhere, and looked better. I suppose a lot is subjective to each one's expectations.
Btw, I've had GPS 0-60 times at about 5.6 seconds(on newer asphalt) in Sport + manual paddle mode, and close to the same just using the DCT in Sport. I'm not sure why the numbers are off, but I've had several people time it, and even with a passenger it's at 5.8-5.9. I am in Florida, so being at sea maybe has a gain? I somehow doubt it since it's a turbo, but that's all I can think would make such a difference. Btw it's such a different car through all 3 modes, it's very noticeable, but the chassis does stay relatively stiff when you switch to Smart, and Normal. Shifting, sound, and agility seem to change largely. Loves to rev! ^^ TIP: *Hold down the Traction control button for a few seconds, and it turns off all driver assists, giving you complete control over the car, and better 0-100mph time*
No. This car is not sub 6. 😂youre either trolling, or your gps timing device is broken. Your claim, logically, doesnt even make sense.
Im in Fl as well…best Ive gotten is 6.35 sec, dragy verified snd uploaded to the leaderboard (so no downhill run). Range is 6.35-6.75.
It's not a white metallic paint , it's called Snow ❄️ white 🤍 pearl
No, it is white metallic.
No, it's seashell white
I thought it was screamin’ semen
@@cgmiddleactually it’s Snow White pearl you dumb ass
Shut up.
How come you didn’t show the Dealer mark up part of the sticker . So sick of dealers ripping us off .
There is a lot of mark up's on these, but no more than any other imo. all in all you won't walk out without spending $30k, but but that goes for almost all of these.
Awesome review.
Is that a true dual exhaust or one side fake?
True dual.
The Forte actually first came out in 2010 not 2008 I used to own the forte's predecessor a 2008 Kia spectra as with a manual transmission the last year for the spectra was 2009
I have the 2019 Elantra sport version and wouldn’t recommend. DCT transmission had to be replaced at 30k miles. The steering creeks when turning and Hyundai can’t figure out where it comes from. Now the paint is peeling.
My 2021 is the exact same even in the interior. Only difference is the logo swapped. They lacked these last few years kinda sad and funny how my 21 gt limited is the same as the 24s... lol
Its a GT2 but doesnt have a heated steering wheel or heated rear seats? My GT2 has those features that appear to be missing on your test car.
What do we think about longevity on this vehicle???
Engine wise would be great. The 1.6 is super reliable. The dct however won't last long. But it's relatively cheap to replace the clutch packs.
Hello, how would you compare this to the base model Integra CVT? Driving dynamics, comfort, fit and finish? Thanks!
The rims on the GT line are way different and they are 17" compare to the GT 18" !!!
Do their DCTs hold up? Ford's Getrag DCT was a disaster.
IT's an automatic, that's a no go for me. Not sure why you didn't showcase the manual?
Can you still get this with a manual transmission
Yep! At least in the states
With the manual you get summer tires and the GT2 package is not an option.
Amazing car ❤🎉
i have 2023 GT2 on red color, it's looks very sexy, on freeways it's driving like crazy 200hp , on citys it's driving very fast, very quick shift from 1 to 3 , for that money it's amazing choice
Do you think the 7 speed dct transmission will last about to buy this car in 2 weeks 2024
Im a toyota fan because of longevity but I really like how this car looks
Was that English?
@@kennymccormick8295 es español mejor is this language better
Much better than the Civic SI and for 27K.
Sounds just like the Elantra n line. Wonder if it’s the same 1.6 turbo.
Yes, elantra n-line is kinda the same BUT not quite lol the Elantra has the smartstream 1.6t whereas the Forte keeps the OG. Im not too sure of the differences other than the one in the Forte is the reliable one bc its been around longer and worked on and improved on longer than the smartstream. I remember reading somewhere that the 1.6t smartstream still does not have a proper tuning platform.
I have 2 weird situations Forte GTs lined up on me and wanna race with my car lol! 😂
a way better value vs the K5 IMO
traded my 23 k5 gt line in for a 24 forte gt2 best decision i love the forte.
@@19schneider85 interesting! if you don't mind my asking do you pay a higher insurance policy for it being a Kia?
higher premiums, often stolen car, heavier car, much more money for the car that performs like the GT2. If you 'need' a larger car, yes, I agree, but if you don't, I have to disagree. The only K5 I'd buy is the 290HP ver., but it's still going to feel sluggish, and heavier than it's little brother with 201Hp. I've driven both, and different models, I knew the GT2 was the one as soon as I took it out.
If it were really $27K, this would be a sweet deal! Has anyone found a KIA dealer that doesn't try to rape your wallet BS add-ons? This particular dealers site shows "market adjustment not included in price." The other things you have to look out for are the garbage tacked on $3000 Advantage plans and $1K+ paint protections plans.
You can, and should, say no to add ons. If the dealer is unwilling to, walk away. You absolutely do not need add-ons, maybe just GAP. Never buy ANY car for over its MSRP. I bought my 2021 GT at the end of 2020 for $24,500 price of car, MSRP was $26,350. Different times but I still hear of some ppl getting good deals. So, shop around
Not sure if you’re local but these guys don’t have any add ons, and currently have 4-5 Forte GT’s available so you might even get a decent discount 👍🏼
I brought 2023 kia gt2 all bell and whistles Msrp 30k, asking 32k after everything is 38k after taxes.
@@dtango8345Damn. I dont think there’s a GT with an msrp of 30k.
I think the highest msrp ive seen is $27800. They most likely got you with about 4k in add ons of some sort. Ouch
@@dtango8345 Appreciate the response. That would be an acceptable deal during the peak of Covid supply disruption, but certainly not now. Forte GT is a nice ride w/ a ton of standard features, but not over $30K+ otd nice in a rapidly slowing car market.
Here we go
Nice
I have it and I love this little sleeper to pick up my kid for school lol #dadcar
To bad this hasn't come in a hybrid if possible.
Nice but I prefer the Elantra n-line 2024
both great cars, you win either way, imo!
Does it have android auto, wired or wireless?
Yes, both Apple and Android
Is there anyone who is 5’1 or shorter that has used this car? Is it good for us short people or no? Cus I’m not getting the Kia Soul it’s hideous
it's fine, the seat adjusts have a lot of room to work with, I'm 6'1", and it's JUST big enough for me, lol. I think you'd fit well :)
Other then a Kia boy trying to steal it this ain’t bad at all wow
This car has keyless pushbutton start and an immobilizer, not a key tumbler inside the steering column that’s ridiculously easy to get to like with the older cars.
The K5 is the one they can take easy, not the GT2
👍🏻👍🏻

Yea u cute
The new K4 sucks lol
Kia is pure drek the ilx acura is way better build car good for 300000 miles
Discontinued in 2022.
This is sick but I think I'd rather get the Toyota Corolla XSE.
I have the 2019 Elantra sport version and wouldn’t recommend. DCT transmission had to be replaced at 30k miles. The steering creeks when turning and Hyundai can’t figure out where it comes from. Now the paint is peeling.
Gotta take better care of your vehicle.
