Just leased a 2022 Forte GT. Leased the 2018 Stinger GT2 before this so I felt like I was going through a huge downgrade, but hey.. times are hard and unpredictable. But this little joy to drive has proved me wrong! Such a blast to drive and fuel efficient even when I mess around with the paddle shifter in sport mode. Do that in my old stinger and I'd be at the pump in less than a week. But I do miss the stingers power on the freeway.
@@enzo4630 Well only 87X miles in but so far its been a blast! Ride can be a bit harsh depending on the road conditions but its not a deal breaker for me
I bought a 2021 GT last year, I love it even today, a year and a half later 40k miles, I get over 40MPG on long trips, the main difference between mine and the one in the video (other than year and color) is that mine is manual. The guy at Kia offered me the paddle shift one but I told him no, luckily he was able to find a manual before I went to another agancy.
I own a 2023 Kia Forte GT2 🎉🎉🎉🎉🎉 i love it .. you have to go for the GT obviously 😂 it has more HP has a tune exhaust system and suspension plus is Turbo 🎉🎉🎉
What I'd like to know in this video is what packages are on that GT-Line. Because I'm looking at one that's more expensive than the GT because it has more features
A fair comparison would have been to compare the Gt-line with sport premium packages vs GT with GT2 package. Practically same car with different engine.
@@dantedoescars thanks I picked black but they said if other colors come in and aren't spoken for I could take a different one instead I like the white * grey also but although I like the red accents I might change it to a neon or slime green and have mine really stand out from the other ones
I looked at one with my wife and noticed that inside the truck lid they didn't even have any clear coat on it I assume it's their way of saving money, the salesman didn't even relise they did that...
I have the Forte Gt line and honestly my only major draw back is the radio be bugging from time to time. Other than that I could maybe complain that it’s not a fast car but I didn’t get a Kia forte for it to be fast 😂
I have a 22 GT-Line and I started having issues with the radio audio cutting in and out around 4 or 5k miles. Took Kia 6 tries to fix it but other than that, no issues lol. Apparently the amp was faulty
The leather on both sets of seats is imitation, with a $3000 price differential one would think the more powerful engine would be the draw, not the seats. We have a 2020 GT-Line, we're fine with the normally aspirated engine, different strokes.

I would love to see you video comparing the Carnival to the Telluride, and also I am looking for a comparison of the lesser-known 2019 Forte S to the Current Forte GT Line. I have a 2019 blue forte S and the seats are terribly uncomfortable but the body is super strong and if you’re a good driver you can navigate very well leading the pack on the highway, so to speak.
I got the GT mainly for the heated and cooled front seats and the climate vents in the back (for the kids). The turbo and dual clutch are just a nice bonus.
GT line is a CVT transmission whereas a forte GT has a DCT( dual clutch) trans! Basically, a GT line drives more tame and what you are used to in other brands, a DCT will “almost” feel like you are driving a stick shift car
The gt with the 6 speed manual is I blast to drive. Don't know if I would like the car with the pale shifters, but if you can't drive a stick it wouldn't be bad.
It is! One of my first weeks on the job I was the only rep that could drive stick so they asked me to move it from our two lots, ride back I gave her a little sauce and she responded! Def stick shift is awesome on that car!
I hear you. I was just able to get a 23 GT2 for +$500 markup, but even that took me showing up first thing in the morning the day the dealership took delivery and subsequently walking out of the dealership when they wanted high markup, and then them calling me back later in the day (probably so they had the chance to try to sell with a larger markup). I don't totally blame dealerships with the shortages and all, but man what an unpleasant experience. Glad to have this as a fun little second car, it's mostly for my daughter to drive.

@@enzo4630 I've got a 22 Forte GT. Have put roughly 15k miles on it over the past 3 or so months. (I drive a lot for work). Have had no issues so far.

This is a little misleading, i belive u are describing a forte in gt2 dct trim because my base gt has totrally different seats.

Actually that is exactly what turned me down from considering the GT line.
Also, don't forget that this GT looks like it has the upgraded GT2 package (+1800 dollars) with the heated and ventilated seats.

The DCT beats the IVT transmission. The IVT seems odd to me.

The situation must have been different a few months ago because I just bought a '23 GT2 yesterday for sticker, no markup.
