@@therealchriskim most likely they haven’t updated their websites to reflect that the GT is up to 2024 now. Common issue when a new year is added to a lineup
Just be fucking careful with Racechips. They don't have any way of checking to see if there's an issue with the car via the ECU and it just scales up the boost and fuel off the ECU's base numbers. What this means is that if something goes wrong and ECU tries to put the car in limp mode or to turn down boost, etc - the car may not respond appropriately and will cause further damage. I've seen people blow motors due to this dilemma so just be CAREFUL and mindful. Racechips can be good, you just have to be a little bit more aware of your car's health than you would if you were using a JB4 piggy back (which does check the ECU for irregularities) OR an actual tune from a dyno shop.

just got a 2024 kia forte gt with the manual, lookin to do some mods soon but im trying to be 100% certain i dont f up my warranty. lmk if you get any definitive info!!! thanks for the vid!
You're welcome, and congrats! You'll love the GT.
Make sure run colder plugs and carch cans . Keeps these engines running good .
@@603adventures9 agreed!
Do you need to do any preliminary thing before getting this? Like tuning it before hand or making sure you have proper parts to sustain the use of it?
No need at all to prepare! I would just make sure that your car is broken in at first if its new (fresh oil change etc) then you're all set! Race Chip says they made this to run in stock form so no need to check or change anything in general. You can even run regular as well, although I recommend premium
Just picked up a 22 GT2 with the DCT. Not far from you brother. Bought it from Freehold.
@@toddsimone7182 congrats on the GT! My buddy and I are always looking for more local forte GTs
What's up! Do you usually cruise in Smart mode? Just put mine in, started in setting 4 lol
@@danielwiesen1334 I have a 6 speed manual so no smart mode for me, and I think setting 4 is perfect for daily driving! I used to be on 5, but 4 I think is the perfect middle ground

Thanks for these installs videos. Keep up the content fam. Do you need any fuel additives for map3 or is it just plug and go
@@DJSLANKMAN You’re welcome and thanks!! You don’t need any fuel additives for any of the maps since Race Chip claims they made all of the maps to be ran in completely stock form. I do recommend to run premium though if you’re in the higher tunes since you get noticeably more power from what I feel. But again, no need to!
@@PetrolJuice Right on man thanks! what about the spark plugs?
@@DJSLANKMAN I’ve heard a mix of things, but according to race chip, even stock plugs can be used.

Question: Does the racechip affect the fuel consumption negatively?
Keep it up with your videos! 🚗💨
Depends on how you fine tune each mode.
@@carlosroman9908 thanks for watching! I’m glad I can help. According to race chip, it helps with fuel economy slightly. If you flat foot your accelerator every time you drive you will obviously lose MPG. But if you drive as you did prior to race chip, you will apparently see better MPG than without race chip
Do you need to use higher octane when the race chip is installed?
@@AlienImagery no need to, it’ll run fine with regular. But you’ll lose out on its full potential with power. I use regular if I know I’m going to be driving long distances for work, but I’ll use premium if I’m mostly going to be having fun. You can feel the power difference
@@PetrolJuice thank you!

@@nicfeen7789 this is the S. But same method applies to all models of the race chip

Nope, stock plugs and still on regular gas. According to race chip, it’s not needed as their product is made to run in stock configuration. Although I did change to premium yesterday and there’s definitely a power difference
2023 and 2024 supposedly have colder plugs than the previous models too. Some say to gap them but I'll probably send it as is when I get mine
@@budge3281 I did hear that as well. Worst case scenario, at least plugs are pretty cheap

Does it mess the engine up to leave the Air hose off and zip tied like that?
@@frankromeo3884 not at all! From what I researched, there’s no MAF sensor so leaving the return tube disconnected is completely fine
I heard they mess up your car .. is it true ?
I haven't heard of any instance from anyone that it messed up their car, but so far no issues for me
