I had a fully loaded 2021 Kia K5 EX and decided to switch up after moving farther away from family and church. Got the 2024 Forte GT with Sport trim (spoiler) with every available feature, same as my K5, one week ago today. Steel gray with some new kind of paint finish that it says never needs waxing. The trim, seats, sunroof, interior and screen are same as this video. The look and front, fog and dashed rear lights are super cool. It handles well and is comfortable (I'm 6'), and roomy enough for passengers and freight (just moved, holds a lot of stuff). The turbo engine comes in handy when I feel zippy or need to get ahead (LOL) and the gas mileage is good. The K5 was sweet I must admit...I miss it, as it was a stunner. But it was large, heavier, and the gas mileage wasn't that great (especially if you used the turbo). Still, this smaller brand new Kia Forte is perfect for me in this season since it has all of the amenities I wanted and I now have a brand new warranty. Bonus, mine has a button that allows me to turn on the rear camera when sitting. I was waiting for someone at night, used the camera to watch and make sure no one was walking up behind me. As a lady driving alone, I love this feature!!
kia😝
Bought it in January. Best features for the price hands down. Engine power, dct trans, steering, handling, braking, and fuel economy are very impressive. Add in the heated and ventilated seats, navigation, safety features, very good sound system and with Kia's warranty it really is the best in this segment.
Just got mine this week- I love it 🥰
Hopefully one day, I buy this as my first car.
Wait for the redesign. Probably will be called K4 instead of Forte.
Hurry up. K4 will be in showrooms this fall. Better? Probably just looking different.
I bought my GT last year and have been nothing but impressed all the way around. Now it’s time for performance upgrades 🤫
Amazing review bro.
Just bought this car 1 month ago. It’s freaking awesome!!
what was price of this car..thanks
GJ! One suggestion: wn u show the back seat room, we can't see how much head room u got. It'd be nice if u could squeeze it into the frame or maybe add a secondary shot. GL
I just purchased that car two weeks ago, same color and everything, it is a great car.
bought a 22 GT2 for $24,500 OTD and i cant stop thinking of what a steal that was... such a fun car
Bought it used?
@@randy7425 yea only had 6000 miles on it
I purchased a 2023 Forte /Tech package beginning of December and absolutely loved it, but it was totaled in a rear end accident at a red light about a month ago and I just picked up the 2024 GT-Line and still absolutely love it.
also quick tip u can use paddles in normal drive mode if u hold the upshift paddle for a bit it puts it back into drive from manual
What i love about this car are NO FAKE VENTS! We have a Sorento PHEV but we need a second car. Debating on the K5 and the Forte GT
Do you plan on reviewing the 2024 Kia soul this year?😁 I’m thinking of getting mine on Monday a GT Line love the vids keep up the great work
I'll definitely try! 👍🏻
I love that IVT transmission, it is so smooth and fuel efficient but not dronny like other CVTs
This is DCT.
Getting my Wednesday 💪💪💪
Can you review the K-5 & VW Tiquan R, looks like a Porsche, not even lying, absolutely beautiful!!
Are you doing 2024 Subaru Impreza?
This might be the last year of the Forte as the potential redesigned model could be named the K4.
what was price on the one u reviewed.. outstanding review
Should I buy this or wait for the K4?
Going later this week to take a look at this. I'm trading in my current car, mainly because I have an absurd interest rate and it has issues, it's my first car. But Kia is offering the most trade in value. Hopefully the numbers and everything works out. I will definitely update this comment if I do get the Kia Forte.
What are you having issues on? Did you end up buying it?
My sun just got one. Great car deal.
Just one thing lacking and it's no biggie: no Complimentary Maintenance with Kia, which is odd. Why?Hyundai offers it. I wonder why Kia doesn't, but ss I said before: no biggie! A fine review as always. Peace...🙏♐
Best car of the segment
I'll take this over civic accord camry and corolla. Looks miles better, more aggressive. And you get heated/cooled seats and sunroof under $28K and nice warranty. It might don't have as good of resale value as competition, because most still live in mid 2000s🤣
It also won't have the same level of reliability, which in return is what affects the resale.
@@anthonykiedis1765 I absolutely disagree. Kia now is more reliable than Honda. Honda has been having electrical recalls, air bag recalls etc. These new modern kias can easily last 200K miles with proper maintenance. But it doesn't matter because even 100 years from now they'll still have bad resale value of the stigma that they've build back in early 2000s
@@i.d.6492 my personal experience says differently. I am a huge Hyundai/Kia fan but my new Elantra N has been nothing but issues. Meanwhile, my 18 year old S2000 has had zero issues.
Just curious, what Hyundai/Kia do you own?
@@anthonykiedis1765 I tried to reply but op keeps deleting my replies. I've had Forte Gt, veloster N and now G70. No issues at all.
@@i.d.6492 sounds like you cycled through those cars pretty quickly. I wonder why? Lolol
No USB-C?
Just got my GT
Awesome car! Congrats!
How is it that the Elentra gets top IHHS ranking but this doesn't?
The Elantra moved to the Tucson's frame in 2021 - one or two years earlier than planned as that platform was exceeding expectations so well - and the Elantra had dropping sales and there was pressure to get something new out there. They moved the motor and engine (longer nose) and put in very advanced engine mounts and so on (as I understand the powertrain is lower and forward more, so the driver is on top more - I think that is how it works), also the SUV frame is stronger; they even left the AWD tunnel in as it makes it stronger and saved re-engineering costs (but a bump in the back floor).
Maybe not a huge deal breaker, but they've discontinued the 3.5mm AUX input Jack next to the USB ports. I guess they wanted to save $5 by not including it 🤐🤨😑
I didn’t even notice it til you mentioned it. The 3.5mm is on my 21’ GT2, but I never had to use it anyway. Only thing I’m missing out on the newer models are the remote start and bigger infotainment screen. Too bad they got rid of the manual handbrake as well.
Maybe because virtually no flagship quality phones use the jack any longer? For years now? Maybe?
I got pulled over by the CHP for having too much fun in my 23 forte GT 😂
Find that funny?
@@racineurr.8924 duh obviously.🙄 😒
@@Tonyair23 Like your answer.
@@racineurr.8924 I know thank you 😊
Kia needs to do better on the safety aspect of this vehicle to get it to that level
As a Kia car salesman, a customer came up to me saying she heard the Kia 2024 Forte LXS is tremendous. I said “it is tremendous”.
Safety rating kept me from buying it.
That’s such a scam. They got it raised the highest cost with a manual. It should be the cheapest automatic transmissions always cost more. It should be the one around 19 then I’m a mechanic I know.
The manual is cheaper than the automatic with GT2 options. Those options are standard on the manual
No spare tire.. No you-tuber mention it…
It's nearly perfect, minus the fact that it's a Kia
You lost me at DCT.
Your loss 👋🏾
U rather a CVT 🤣
Why TF would you get the automatic. Come on. JUST LEARN IT
Do not buy a Kia especially a forte! I have a 2017 Kia forte that will not run because they tell me my engine prematurely expired at 120k miles. So now I own the car out right because I paid it during this down time of over 2 years but as I was sending it from mechanic to mechanic and then back to the original place I purchased it Carriage Kia who's the only suggestion was that I replace the engine and they can get it to me for $6,000. No thank you. But if you're interested in purchasing this 2017 Kia forte from me please do. Pm me
Nearly perfect are you kidding me look at why Kia's are so high on insurance they're stolen broken into the engine recalls Kia's are absolute trash
They’re not even in the top 10 of stolen cars.
2015-2020 are the Kias that have the security issues. Not new ones.
THANK YOU!!! Im tired of having to repeat that.😭@@CAPDude44
@@CAPDude44 Tend to believe you. I still ride my old 2012 Rio EX with true 6 speed auto and 138 hp engine. Trouble free since day one. Well maintained and groomed, this is the secret.
I got the gt line with tech package… 25k OTD wish I just spent that extra 3 for the gt🥹
Just trade in your gt line for a gt, simple
