Ugh.. Britta's in this? Because I absolutely love it.
She's the best !
Dang this video is still enjoyable because of the irony that Britta was designed to mock the people that are enjoying it
I love Britta she's my favorite girlfailure
1:53 And I think humanity will eventually evolve into the X-Men
Britta is both insanely good at insults, and at the same time she is completely horrible. I don't get how one second she can drop the most horrifying deep personal read and then go to "well what do I know I'm just Jeff Winger's dumb gay dad!"
Who’s there b*tch? FLOOOOORRRR!!!!!
do think Britta Perry is the best. she is how is.
When Troy tells her she's the best, it's such a nice moment. Britta doesn't get enough love.
So true
Troy and her were actually such a cute couple ugh
@@Sam-0827 frrrr
i firmly believe that if anyone but Gillian Jacobs had played Britta, her character would be written off the show by episode 3
She hated cops before it was a hashtag
true although lets not forget about black activists fighting against cops for decades :)) !!!!
She also excuses racism so-
Look, i hate cops
You mean before white people hated them.
@@roisinculler775 nah, before it was a trending hashtag is right. Lots of people knew how bad it's been for decades and decades, it's just giving the average person access to good-quality video capture in their pockets and the ability to share it and network across the globe that made it widely accepted.
“If I wanted the government in my uterus, I’d fill it with oil and Hispanic voters” is probably my favourite line in the entirety of Community
One of my personal favorites is
“It’s you against the world, and you will not win. But you get to make your moves, not them.”
-Ben Chang
deffo top 5 along with 'an analogy is a thought with another thought's hat on.'
In my opinion, in the Cooperative Polygraphy Episode, almost every single Britta dialogue is a gem, not just the "Government" line.
Examples include: Being high during Shirley's son's baptism, "You told me a Hawk stole them" dialogue, and responses to Abed secretly tracking them (calling him Nimrod).
This video made me realize that some of Britta’s really good insults were totally undercut by the group
She's literally the wittiest member of the group. They're all just jealous.
The sex comment to Jeff during D&D is one of the best burns on the show
I LOVE Britta but her on twitter would be a nightmare
"the mother of all daddy issues"
is missed that line in every rewatch so far. how is that even possible?
Is it in the episode? A lot of those earlier episodes have 2 versions, the DVD one and what aired. There is a big difference between some episodes with certain jokes cut and others added for time.
@@bleepbloop101010101 i think it's criminal if they removed this joke.
Brita beating Jeff in hot lava was the greatest underdog victory of the series.
"WHOS THERE ***** FLOOR, FLOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOR!!!!!!!!!!!!"
The most badass moment of Britta is when she led to revolution of the “ones” in the meow meow beanz epsidoe
i quote the "LOOK at the mustard in my face but listen to my WORDS" on a daily basis
Her entire life prepared her to be the mother of 1s and lead the review-lution. For like 6 hours before life went back to normal....where she still prepares.
Britta was an amazing character. It pisses me off how the show handled her in those last seasons. She deserved better.
100%, she had more potential
I think part of it was actually from the actress, she likes to be weird like the character is in the last seasons.
@@cyrussmith4744 that’s interesting, did you hear that from somewhere? I was thinking about this from other videos I’ve seen: sometimes what is really fun/ridiculous/emotionally resonant for actors on the set doesn’t translate well in the end product. Britta got dumbed down a lot and became basically a punchline, but the actress looked like she was having so much fun it was still enjoyable to watch.
@@ElvishShellfish yeah, i've heard this in interviews with her. As the series went along she had more freedom to be more weird and dumb. I can't recall the exact sources but i think it won't be difficult finding it with a little Google search
The show britta’d Britta (I don’t necessarily think this, I just wanted to say it)
"first of all, together my cats can do anything"
*sees title*
Oh, Britta’s in this
Britta is an amazing character, I don't know why everyone hates on her all the time. Even when she was being annoying her heart was in the right place. Down with the patriarchy!!!
I am both desperately in love with the ethereal Britta in that segment with "Pillar of Garbage" and the one right after who is just awkwardly screaming off tune while having the time of her life
The dualidean of woman ✨
"Together, my cats can do anything" easily one of my favorite television quotes ever
Underrated Britta moment: In the timeline where She and Troy get together, she points out how cool of a guy Troy can be, making him feel better after Jeff made him feel bad about himself
for sure, she had great thoughts on what you ‘need to do’ to be a man.
As a Britta lover, I don’t think the community writers understand just how much I needed the episode Herstory of Dance. Always adored the friendship between Jeff and Britta, and seeing Jeff genuinely love and care for Britta and do something selfless for her just warms my heart so much.
Omg she was so cute and happy at the end of that episode 🥺♥️
Wait what did Jeff do? I thought Pierce found the singer?
It was Pierce who found Sophie B Hawkins tho?
@@AmaraEmme Pierce got the singer. Jeff sent Britta a really sweet message.
I loved their friendship as well, I get the writers wanted Jeff/Annie but they didn’t have to ruin Britta’s friendships to make it work. I loved the fact they were close in S3, I loved that she helped him with his dad and the text he sent her was so sweet. Jeff/Britta could’ve been the perfect anti-trope: going from the stereotypical “will they won’t they” to a genuine friendship with 0 romance involved. It sucks what happened to her onwards.
"Cards on the table, I'm
really high right now."
People complain about the way they changed her character from season 1 but if she had stayed the same level headed smart "straight man", she would have likely been written off the show pretty quickly.
I like to think that season 1 Britta is the person she wanted to be but as time goes on she shows her true self to the group.
Although in reality it was so her character wouldn’t get annoying.
@@TrxstMonty That's how I headcanon Britta's character changes as well.
Also, kinda glad they didn't make her a sane, straight man-esque love interest. Woulda been really boring after a while, and the best jokes on _Community_ come from the lack of a straight man. If Britta was a normal person, it would have made _Community_ a lot less exciting.
@@s29nv1sr1 I don’t think it would’ve made community less exciting but the Britta was way to self righteous and had a “I’m above it all” attitude in season 1. They did a better job with Frankie though.
@@TrxstMonty I agree with Britta having a kinda annoying "holier than thou" attitude, and I'm really glad that they toned it down early on in the show's run.
Edit: yeah, Frankie was great, too.
She could have been smart and wacky.
Britta is literally the best at being the worst, this comp is streets ahead.
good to see Britta getting the recognition she deserves
Also Britta in the whole D&D episode. GUYS WE GOTTA DO SOMETHING ABOUT THESE GNOMES
My top three Britta moments:
3. The speech to a cowboy costumed Jeff on the first season Halloween episode which includes the lines, "Yipeekiyay", "...your toy gun to my head..." and, "I think the words you're looking for are, 'I own a cowboy outfit.'"
2. The speech to Slater on the last episode of season 1 featuring the line, "He's been to flavor country."
1. Britta in activist hyper-drive + Chang the security guard + Lionel Ritchie
number 1 is so good
@@fizzyjam It was the biggest pure laugh of the show of the show for me. I'm pretty sure I actually fell off the couch the first time I saw it.
Britta was always the best.. the writers went big and then chickened out. They didn't know how to keep up her awesomeness. Had such great avenues to explore and they closed it down.
Also Britta's entry in Lava game
"I want to say something to you guys about mental health"
I will FORCE you to address your issues like an adult. Chairwalkers, AWOOOOOOOOOOOO
you all hated britta bc she was right. they did the same to jesus. coincidence?
Here is the thing though: notice how right she is in many situations
Yeah I agree. I think they wanted to put those ideas out there without seeming too preachy or so they'd have a character tell Britta to shut up or groan at her.
in a sitcom setting ‘the worst’ person is often the most reasonable, because they stand in the way of the destructive ergo funny storyline.
After looking up the definition of "hoisted by your own petard," I wish I had taken Jeff's advice, because her version is way better than the real thing.
she's so precious she's the best
I love Community, but the thing that bothers me the most about it is how little credit Britta gets. I unashamedly love her, and I wish the rest of the group appreciated her more.
This because i love the Jeff's dialogue in the 5x1:
Jeff: Britta, when we meet you were an eclectic anarchist. How did you become the group's airhead?
Britta: Thank you?
Sometimes i wonder how much did Gillian Jacobs improv on Britta moments lol
In one of Ken jeongs interviews he said that he did a ton of improv on like the first season and they told him to not do it as much so tbh I doubt she did much
Pizza pizza me so hungry
The pizza dance was improv
@@davidlouis2429 I suspected so. Thanks for info!
@@davidlouis2429 According to what? People often say stuff is improv because its goofy but its usually fully scripted
"Get it Britta" had me weak. 😂
3:13 I just adore how confident she is
She was streets ahead... Britta for the win! And, btw the only person to gets the upper hand on Jeff, who is the main protagonist of the show, that even shows how badass she is!
Her analogy of an analogy was epic
I never knew that I needed this in my life until now 🤯
I gOt a ChrIstMaS tImE FoR a TrEe
I feel like Britta, Shirley and pierce were written so one dimensionally by the 3rd season
Yes
Finally, a Britts comp I can get behind
Uh where tf is goth Britta.
I GOT A CHRISTMAS TIME FOR ME. I GOTTA CHRISTMAS TIME FOR A TREE
im in my britta perry era
In the early episodes Britta was literally the most boring, generic love interest that was just there to get Jeff to do the right thing at the end of every episode with subtle flirting. So glad they dropped that storyline because how boring would that show be if she just continued to be the carrot for Jeffs character development
You Britta'd this video.
By which I mean you made it awesome.
Sorry Community fans but Britta was a better character than Annie :)
I 100% get where you are coming from, they are both some of my favorite characters so I can't pick between them personally
tea
Hmmmm I kinda want to fight with you on that argument, but it's okay. Everyone has their own opinions.
I am a community fan and I agree with you :)
They both have their charm.
old west color is one of my favorite jokes from the show for no reason
Just know that I liked this even if I didn't click on the like button because it's at 666 right now
"Hit me with your genie's bottle" gets me every... damn... time!!!!
Music video Britta is the only time she was ever cuter than Annie.
I adore Britta, I’m so glad her character evolved from where she started early s1
Me too. She became so much more relatable. People complain about, but, there were cracks of her personality shining since the beginning, especially when she met Abed's father
Gillian is one of the funniest actress ever
I feel sooo identified with britta is insane
It's weird, Britta was the worst back then but when the movie comes out, her ideas of anarchy, anti-government and social justice might just make her more liked overall
Yeah honestly, having rewatched the show recently I grew the most appreciation for Britta out of all the characters. I didn't exactly hate her which was popular at the time of shows airing but I definitely thought of her as an annoying one-dimensional character back then. Now I see how complex of a character she is, I appreciate her so much.
If loving this video is stupid I don't wanna be smart
Unironically the best written character in the show.
Oh I disagree on so many levels. Best written character on the show is Dean Pelton. Nobody beats him
Dan Harmon agrees, he's said it several times.
And, Jeff and Abed, as two sides of the same coin.
WE LOVE BRITTA
"Ugh, Britta's in this?" One of my favorite quotes 😂😂
Anyone watch love from netflix because she is in it ?
I like that no one wrote “britta’s the worst”!
Britta's the worst
This is my favorite Community supercut! #brittaforthewin
“Britta for the win” always plays in my head whenever I get a mini win
This video is clearly wrong, its too short
I hate how they do her dirty or make her the joke.
You Brittad this video
i actually love the jeff-britta dynamic. I just hate Annie and Jeff. I mean, she was a TEENAGER when they first kissed and Jeff was like twice her age. gross. It also ruined Jeff for me. That was horrible and the show kept putting them together over and over again. I would have preferred a cliche will-they-wont-they/ on-and-off thing between Jeff and Britta which teases the trope (like at 1:33) than whatever that so-close-to-pedophilia situation was. Also, Troy and Britta.. wtf was that? And why?? There is an age gap and there is no chemistry (Allison and Joel had chemistry though. Still gross).
Britta screaming FLOOOOOOOOOOOOORRRRRRRR at Jeff is her greatest moment and will never not be iconic
The funny Thing is that she was the First saying.
You are the worst(to Jeff when He Loved with abed)
Buzzkill(to shirleys friend from Finnland)
ONLY 4 MINUTES?
available Britta clips are very limited on youtube :c
This is Sad
Britta deserved better!!!
I mean is it bad that the first two clips are of a britta that doesn’t exist in the prime timeline
oop- I think it still counts cause it is how britta was in that situation haha
i'm a little sad you didn't include her revolution against the meowmeowbeenz state
just wait... pt 2 will be one of my next vids😎
Praise Britta, the Mustard-Faced Mother of Ones
JEFFREY!!! Oh, hey Britta… :/
Man I wish the gave her better character development in the later seasons. She used to be the mom of the group and respected. Then they turned her unto a joke.
Okay yeh she is the worst… but she is the only one I want to give a hug and say it’s alright, your brilliant britta
Why isn’t this longer?
Me so christmas! Me so merry!
0:46 Jeff's expression is so priceless.
I was just about to comment that! She really hit Jeff’s ego with that one lmao
I love this character! I also didn't know the actress before this show. A great find!
I refuse to fall for this Pro-Britta propaganda
Britta is a favorite and the main reason why I started watching Community years ago.
I love her but we have to say her "holier than thou" was on a sherly level of annoying.
Britta's the best!
Brita is the worst but Gillian Jacobs is the best.
thank U!!!! for this!!!! she’s the best 🥺 also she’s been anti cop since the beginning
acab OWO
"Oh, Britta is in this."
The fact that Britta is high in most of these scenes says lot about all the other scenes.
oh brittas in this?
"If loving worms is stupid I don't wanna be smart."
Britta predicted the "Would you love me if I was a worm meme" (kind of)
like donald gover gillian have such talent with the goofy body language. on point off-note as paradox might say
uhh Britta is in this
Sometimes I wonder if Britta would have been different if Dan Harmon had met Robert Evans a little bit earlier.
Or if he'd just, like, read more Emma Goldman.
why? who is robert evans?
Vicki: You're the worst!
Britta: She's just saying that to fit in!
Could you make a compiliation of all the times she wears glasses...?
Britta wearing glasses is my fetish.
