I like the silence if he is naming parts on the screen that he is putting back on. Silence only works if the mechanic is already a pro or familiar with part names. Id like to know when using the hammer what are you looking to hit and why just looks like he was banging away. Then at the end looks like he bent someone in the middle before adding the tire lol and i dont know why makes me scared to try even though i saw it
@@NewzAndReviewz he needed to get the ball joints out of the holes, since they're tight and/or seized (joints are tapered), and the hard metal is the best place to shock it loose (instead of directly hammering the joint). also, at the end, he's 'staking' the axle nut into the indentation in the axle, as the nut is pliable there, and the staked metal blocks it from rotating and coming loose.
You make it look so easy! I am taking notes on all your video tutorials just in case I am able to tackle future similar tasks. I hate taking my car into the shop and never knowing they will take care or diagnose correctly or cheat and say they need to fix things that are not needed.
Time to ALWAYS honk the horn before backing up! Your kid scared the bejeezus out of me walking around the running car! Then sit the whole family down and have a strong talk about never going behind a running car, ok? Thanks, bro. 👍❤️
That's what a two week old car looks like in the North East. Normally, for when that type of service is required, rust is holding everything together up here. Nice zen-like video, man -Thanks!
Hektor, I totally get all your humor in your silencio performance. Great work! Must be really nice to work on a completely rust-free car. Those rotor screws just came right out! Amazing! 👍🔧🧰
What add is at 7:53 ??? I cannot see pass that mark. On both chrome and Edge web browser. Also nice videos but i think ppl like to understand how you diagnose a problem. Just viewing you do get some of the infos. But not everything that is necessary. But good video.
Truth b told I got really nervous when ur boy was behind the car n the car was still running, other than that perfect, gonna have to take u my tundra I have left front noises sway bar or links
Do u have a shop in los angeles bc I'm having issues with my 2016 kia optima and I've seen u diagnosed one in ur videos ill appreciate it if u reply back thank u ....
@@fredsalter1915 Completely agree! Press in bearing are a royal pain if you don't have a press and all the different sized cups to do the removal and reinstall.
i replaced my wheel bearings twice....mavis said they both were bad...im noticing that the difference is that im not torquing the last silver nut...is that really the reason why i keep hearing the humming noise after putting on TWO brand new ones? i bought the preassembled from amazon and the second one was from rockauto
Thanks for the fart man! Excellent editing and details i like it bro really opened my eyes. That fart 💨 sounded shitty though. I wish next time when u put the parts back on you say the name of the part or flash it in text on the screen for the rookies so we know what part we are messin with just helps n makes it easier but you the shit bro
I just swapped my sway bar with new end links and tighten ever bolt. I still hear clanks in front. Almost like I can hear it more now than before, what can it be?
Could you share how much was the parts and an estimate of how much this would cost? I had this issue a few years ago with my Honda civic and went and got it fixed however the noise is back again. I forgot how much I paid for it but I would appreciate your advice on why this occurs.
You got balls hitting the cv shaft on a pivot. I put a vice grip on the shaft to where it butts up against something hard so I don't mess the bearing up inside the motor. Hard to explain.
Hey Hektor, ive been watching for a while & im a c-tech @ Firestone & I’m worried electric cars will end my career, can we work on those or we as mechanics done?
They still have suspension components and they will still break down. You just have to learn electrical and u will be fine.it will take a long time for gas to be phased out trust me. Probably not even in our lifetime
@@ronsimmaculatedetailing6335 yeah I’m about to be 21,the minute I have to do something to an electric car,I’m tearing it apart to learn how everything works
Hey hector I just have a question I have a 2018 Chevy Cruze LS and I think my fuel leaks bcuz I leave it idle and my fuel economy sensor mpg it goes down just leaving it idle but once I take off it works but I been having a P0420 sensor code but I haven’t had it for a couple days now so am not sure
Have that same rumbling noise on my 99 civic. Changed the front right bearing 6 months ago not noticing any play on the wheel. Noise and vibration goes away when making right turns
I prefer your upbeat personality over silence
I second this.
Amsr is not for you.
You've a great contagious personality and mood Homie Hektor let it shine.
Kudos ✌

wow - i'm from Montreal Canada and that Civic looks brand new ! One winter here and its done !

Those rotor screw are paid actors! They never come off that easy
Nice content, smooth like butter. This is where you know someone is seasoned.
Add garlic powder, done!

This channel is awesome. Glad that i found it.
That passenger tie rod end looked a little worn, and do you not torque fasteners on steering and suspension components?
What was wrong with the strut was it also making noise or did it have a leak do struts make noise when there wearing down?
I have never seen those rotor screws come out so easily. Wow
4:19 I learned this from an old guy, use 2 hammers and hit the at the same time on opposite ends.
You're welcome.
Always great to see the kids around, the next generation of mechanics

great video, can you show how you install the wheel bearings. thanks.
Take the hub to a shop with a press :-P

I had new struts put on my 2011 Ford Taurus.
Still has some clunkiness to driving over rough rough.

Do you know much about the power steering pump on these engines?
First, do that thumbs up. THEN watch the video! It’s Homie Hektor - we know it’s gonna be good! 👍🔧🧰
Way ahead of you
I always "thumbs up" when starting the video. Hektor never disappoints!
wow all of those part underneath the car are very clean.
Where are you located at I need the same thing done to my civic can u do mine how much would u charge

you mean inside the *transmission*?
Was an alignment needed after?
Can you please tell me what was the impact you used to take off the tire center bearing. Please let me know. 😚🙃
Milwaukee Fuel, probably 1/2in
Firestone screwed the pooch when they let you go.... great job.
That sounded wet homie 😳
How many miles on that Honda. Comes apart like brand new. Minnesota make a mess of cars.

P0420 is catalytic converter code, usually is clogged, broken or have a bad 02 sensor

There is no shame in speaking. Good video Angel Homie
No wonder the struts were bad, they keep putting the same Chinese quick struts
The fart was unexpected - 🤣😂

Wheel bearing are a pain in the butt.
buy the bearing kit with 1/2 Milwaukee electric tool take off easy man
Easy squeezee lemon peezee!
I think you spoke a lil too much in this video 🤨
Bruhhhh say something. Silence
Honda couldn't have come up with a more useless design. 2 pieces of plastic with grease in the middle as a bearing that supports the whole car. WTF?
Firestone screwed the pooch when they let you go.... great job.
