A classic film that I never get tired of ; like most Verhoeven films, it holds up to repeat viewings.
You'll wake the kids up with those Arnold impressions.
Bump(silence)"im okay" that was so cute.
The funniest part about the Arnold pain scream cliche, is that it is actually great acting. Watch the behind the scenes on Conan the Barbarian and pay special attention to the part where Arnold gets injured on set.
His real pain screams are EXACTLY the same as the sounds he makes on screen!
You mean EEEAHU! EEEAHURGH!!
When the dogs caught him.
That doesn’t make it any easier not to laugh LOL
Calling it great acting is so stupid. He know how he sounds we he is in pain? Oh please. When are people going to realize that kissing celebrity’s ass is insulting and disrespectful. Just give credit where it’s due, no need to be delusional mate. I know how I sound when I’m pain… I can even make that sound!! I’m not a great actor. Good lord bias makes people sound mental at times
@@Gnossiene369 Actually you probably don't know how you really sound. People can make extremely weird noises, especially when they are in intense pain. Plenty of people are surprised by the noises they make.
"By the time the trip is over you get the girl, kill the bad guys and save the entire planet". He got exactly what was advertised to him.
The big reveal!
and he asked to integrate some alien stuff and had a blue sky on Mars
Would not been as popular movie if they had used the original title of that Philip K Dick short story "We Can Remember It for You Wholesale" .
We remember it for you WHOLESALE!!!
Yeah... this movie gives you a lot of hints as to whether it was all a dream or not.
Definitely watch Basic Instinct and Casino as well. Sharon is great in them. On a sidenote, Pops does the Arnold scream REALLY well. Good job.
The Mister, cowboy himself, might like "The Quick and the Dead."
@@Tr0nzoid beat me to it...thats a good movie with a great cast.
And 1980s ads with Sharon Stone , contact lens cleaner and Diet Sprite 🙂
@@Tr0nzoid directed by the great Sam Raimi [Spider-man trilogy ] it has a very modern feel to it and is still a great tribute to westerns !
Basic Instinct - "Welcome back to You, Me, and the ???".
"You're jealous when I have dreams about you" made me laugh more than it should have. 😊
Sharon Stone is 32 here. She started in the early 80s. She became popular in the mid 80s in the Alan Quatermain adventure movies with Richard Chamberlain and in some Police Academy sequel. But her breakthrough to fame was Basic Instinct (1992).
Police Academy 4(probably my favorite from that franchise). Other movies I liked with her were Action Jackson and The Quick & The Dead.
Police Academy 4. Not only did Police Academy 4 feature a young Sharon Stone, but also a young David Spade.
I sort of remember KSM, I'm pretty sure that was where they had plastic vegetables floating in a pot they were being cooked in. So cheezy it was fun.
That's one of the reasons 92 was good year.
I’ve hit the ground several times in dreams. All that happens is the dream changes.
So you think.
The kids being a surprise part earned a like! 😂🥰👍
Your kids are starting to show up in almost all your reactions. Too cute. I love them.
It’s them who are running the show they are just coming to make sure it’s going right
They are told to show up so gullible viewers are more tempted subscribe to their patreon so these 2 can get $$$$$$$
Renaming the channel- You, Me, Them and the movies
It isnt a good thing though, because nowadays there are far too many weirdos and eventually they will be in school.
Adorable!
Mrs Movies: You wish I was sleazy!
Mr Movies: 😂
(Exactly, that’s the whole point of tailoring the scenario at Recall, getting what you wish for! No doubt Mrs Movies is a classy lady in real life but if she was playing a femme fatale? 🙃)
Also Mr&Mrs Movies doing the most “Arnie in pain” extended impression they could do at the end there was deffo funniest thing I’ve seen today! 😂
There is nothing cuter than a reaction to a hyper violent movie being interrupted by your kids
Daughters are so cute!!!😍😍😍
I half expected them to sprout pixie wings and flutter away! 💕💕
Philip K Dick didn’t create the Cyberpunk aesthetic/genre but he is one of the most influential authors on the genre. Blade Runner, Minority Report, the Adjustment Bureau, Total Recall, A Scanner Darkly, and some other more obscure movies are ALL based on stories written by him.
A Scanner Darkly needs more play.
A few more.
The Man in the High Castle (TV Series)
Electric Dreams (TV Series)
Paycheck - Ben Affleck and Uma Thurman.
And a whole slew of works some people have used to create short films
Always about some dude chasing himself
Definitely need to see "The Running Man" and "Minority Report"
@@Gort-Marvin0Martian Also Impostor (2002).
If you enjoyed Total Recall, I highly recommend you add "The Running Man" to your watch list. More Arnold, future setting, action and loaded with one-liners. Out of his 80's catalogue, it often gets overlooked.
It's in my dvd collection.
I think Raw Deal gets overlooked the most.
@@Jar0fMay0 I would agree with that. BTW I love you on Sourdough with a nice thinly sliced roast beef.
very true. However I've tried to mentally catalogue the 80's movie he has with the WORST possible one-liners, and at this point, I am left with Commando. It's the strongest of the cheesiest, that I can think of so far.
"What happened to Sully"
"I let him go."🤣🤣
Still, THAT being said; there's NO funnier line in any movie ever that beats. "See you at the party Richter!!" The ONLY line that compares is in Supernatural season 4.
Henrickson gets exorcised by Sam and Dean and he's coming to terms with what just happened and he says: "I uh....I...I shot the Sherriff." and he's totally confused. There's a silent pause and you can SEE Dean getting ready to say it. "But you didn't shoot the deputy." 🤣🤣 That had me laughing for over an hour the first time I heard that.
I saw it in the theater.. so much 80s cheese and Richard Dawson is amazeballs playing a caricature of himself
"See you at the party Richter" and "Screw you!" are my favorite lines. I'm with the Mrs. on this one. I think it all actually happened and it's not the implant. 📽❤
My personal favorite line is "consider that a divorce " after shooting Sharon stone in the forehead
I also like "consider that a divorce"
"screw your freedom"
"The reactah, it releases the axygen!"
I'd listen to the whole periodic table.
I thought there was some kind of arm joke in there. Like something along the lines of 'let me give you a hand' but I can't quite make it work either. 'I don't need a hand.'? Yeah doesn't quite fit. Dang so close. 'You've been disarmed!' ? 'You needed a bigger ARMy'?
I like the line where she asks him what have you been feeding this and he says blondes!
Great,fun reactions 🤣
Lol love his ironic line "Nice knowing you"
Excellent Schwarzenegger screaming impressions from both of you...
The main thing to remember about this movie is there is a girl with three tits. After she got killed I figured that was the end of the movie and quit watching.
Mr and Mrs movies.
One things that always made me laugh is in his movies he is the size of a mountain and no bad guys can seem to hit him 😂
..he's got a hologram... Pffth! Alan.. ;-P
@@dallesamllhals9161
Not for all his movies
😉👍😂
Michael Ironside is one of the greatest cinema heavies ever (followed by Clancy Brown).
Michael voiced Darkseid for the DCAU
Also Clancy Brown voiced Lex luther
Clancy was Kurgan in Highlander 👍 and Ironside was Katana in Highlander 2 (good caracter for a shity movie) and he was Racsak in Starship troopers 👍
Michael Ironside was great as the villain in Scanners, and was a good hero in Starship Troopers.
My favorite Arnie line was always, "get your ass to Mars." Another popular theory I heard about the ending was that the whiteout symbolized Quaid dying after the recall doctors failed to revive him.
Sounds reasonable on the surface. But, I guess it depends on the source material. But, even if we go solely on the movie's interpretation, it seems like some of these theories can be disputed fairly easily.
Admittedly, I've only heard the one mentioned about it all being a Rekall dream gone wrong. The problem with that one is that knowing what oxygenating Mars' atmosphere will result in blue skies. That's something that's been theorized for decades since Mars is thought to have been Earth-like in the past.
So, talking about the blue skies of Mars wouldn't indicate that it's part of the dream since that's what ended up happening.
Just a thought
What would be the point of making the whole thing a dream without communicating that to the audience.
It would be an insider joke. Plus how would we see the off screen actions of others, and why would Quade not know about them? It's possible to make any argument you like when you can say, "Oh that bit was implanted". That's how religions work.
Like the Sopranos ending where some think he was killed because the screen went black....like it did in many other episodes.
The white light at the end of the film is Doug waking up from his recall vacation, before going back to whatever boring life he leads. As promised, he took a vacation from himself. He's probably a normal, out of shape, older guy who got to enjoy looking like Arnold and having an adventure. He's like the guy in the Recall commercial who has trouble walking, but wants to climb the mountains of Mars. The entire movie is the Recall vacation, from first to last scene.
I think the bit with the Recall guy showing up with the pill is part of the paid experience. They throw that in there as reverse psychology to convince him the experience is real and he gets his money's worth. Honestly it's a pretty impressive package, I would buying these every chance I could get.
@@LA_HA
the REKALL agent

the dream or on MARS ?
*THUNK!* "I'm okay!" Cutest little movie interruption ever!
I love how you let the kids interact a little bit. But we always make sure ours..(6year old girl, 8year old boy) are sound asleep before we watch anything. But ya I know, they still get up now and then. Love it.
This has my favorite Arnold line of all time: BENNY, SCREWWWW YOUUU!
Let's play "You, Me and the Drinking Game"! Take a shot whenever;
1. Their kids run in
2. She goes "Oh boyee!"
3, He says "Remind you something/someone?"
4. She says "There's the boobies"
5. She says "Sweet"
youmeth&movies, changes the game
When the Mr. turns a statement into a question by ending it with "right?".
You forgot when she says Supeer 😄
@@busybee7824 Hey, I'm having trouble staying upright as it is!
7:59 This moment is surreal because I did the exact same thing as an 8 year old kid when my parents were watching Total Recall on television back in the day back in 1991. I was supposed to be sleeping and I decided to barge in on mum and dad in the lounge room multiple times and I got shooed off back to bed exactly like this... Only difference was, because it was 1991, there were no electronic devices and I was simply told to "GO THE HELL TO SLEEP".
Things change but they stay the same.
"You forgot your arms" - BEST LINE EVER!
love the Arnold imitation phrases at the end, you both won! 😂
For those of us who feel like the last twenty years have sort of flown by and barely go see modern movies, it is easy to forget that Sharon Stone hasn't really been in the public eye much in a long time. Everything for which she gained her reputation was 30 years ago.
TBH the last thing i watched her in is an awful film called Catwoman and had to look at her filmography just to find that out.
Her husband got bit in the foot by a Komodo dragon. He was wearing white socks, apparently a big no-no with those monsters. That trivia has been with me for like 12 years!
She's doing commercials now. Idk if Hollywood dumped her or vice versa.
She was in Indiana jones rip off , King Solomons mines in 1985 and its sequel year later , Police academy 4 , but this , Basic instinct and Casino 1995 are her biggest roles .
For being in business for over 40 years , there are only few movies people remember her from .
I think I saw what used to be Sharon Stone in an eyeglasses commercial..
Love when the kids interrupt!
😂😂😂🤘🏼🤘🏼🤘🏼
It’s awesome!
So cute
I only watched this to see your reaction to Arnolds screams... and you imitating it was icing on the cake. You guys are so much fun. Cheers!
The remake didn't even have Mars. It wasn't the same movie.
When Malina comes out of nowhere with the gun and saves him. That is Deus ex Malina.
Screamers, Blade Runner, Paycheck, Minority Report, Total Recall, A Scanner Darkly, The Adjustment Bureau, and The Man in the High Castle are all major film and television works based off of specific stories and novels written by Philip K. Dick.
Oh comeon, admit it! You let your kids in on purpose to make us all melt at how adorable they are.
The writer of the story, Mr Dick, is known for stories that make you question if it was just a dream or not, and total recall is a perfect example of that.
I can't wait to see Mrs. Movies reaction to Arnold removing the tracking device. The look of disgust on her face always brightens my day. 😃
I can’t wait to see her reaction to a certain lady at the bar on mars :D
Please you must wait another 24 years before spoiling!
On wonders how they got it in there.
This film is the most bonkers blockbuster movie that was ever made. And I love every second of it; a straight up classic. Great reaction @ 👍🏿
The guy with half his brain hanging out, "Tony", played Hank in Breaking Bad. Dean Norris
Hilarious reaction guys. Keep it up!!!
Be safe
"God I hope I look like that when I kiss you"
"You do to me"
The Silver-tongued cowboy strikes again!😉
Ok, now I need to see a Total Recall remake starring Danny DeVito!
Best mom and dad jokes on the internet ❤️
Your funny kiddo interruptions are quickly becoming my favorite part of watching these.
19:26 I wish I was alive the day Arnold realized he was playing for the wrong team. We could have had such fun!
I really admire the actress playing Arnold in disguise because she's basically playing two roles.
Would've loved to see the kids walking in during the Arnold impressions. Looks on their faces would've been priceless! 🤨🤣
The 'lets give this man a round of applause' got me - that would've been hilarious hahaha
10:30 “It was at this moment he realized, he messed up” 😂.. and all before that I was like, he’s answering smartly with his wife around 😂…🤦🏻♂️… and then…
You're daughter, "I'm ok"...😂 Adorable!❤
My old man effing loved this movie, I've got such good memories of watching it with him when I was a kid. This one and Cliffhanger! Another solid gold reaction video 👍
If you were a teenage male when Basic Instinct came out, I'd say there's a pretty good chance you're not going to forget who Sharon Stone is.
I died when you were singing "Practice your ABCs" and she sung a rebuttal.
LMFOA! **BONK** "I'm ok..." awwwwww.... that must be like every day! holy crap, your kids are sooooooo adorbs! well done you two. what a lovely family!
mrs movies (singing): work on your ABC's
kid: (keeps the song going) no no no-no no no
lololol
Love the hint at Benny's betrayal when Arnold is reminded of all the problems on real vacations at Recall with one of them being crooked taxi drivers.
This movie definitely hits different the second time you watch it and see all the hints that it's just the recall package Quaid paid for.
13:31 Ooooooohhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!! He sleeping on the couch tonight!!!!! LMAO!!!!!! 😆😆😆😆😆😆😆😆
I love how you both have comfort pillows in your laps in case the movie gets a bit too tense. That's a sweet touch.
I swear they must've used the chucky doll for the Kuato prop.
Great movie. I remember my Dad renting this on VHS from the local video store ( not Blockbuster ) and we all sat in the living room watching as a family. LOL... Good times. Cute when the kids wander in as well now.. :)
It is scary how ridiculously good and like Arnold you sound like when making that noise!
Half the fun of an Arnold movie is Yahhh Yahhhh Yaaaaaaah`ing along with him. :)
It is nice to see parents not apologizing for being parents, and for being patient when being interrupted.
My two favorite Arnold movies is Terminator 2 and last action hero. But this is most definitely a close third. If you like this y'all should definitely watch The running Man with Arnold Schwarzenegger. One thing I do like about this movie though is that you don't know if he ever got the recall or not. You think he didn't because of the reaction and them saying to dump him, but that could have been all part of the memory and that's kind of mind-blowing.🤯
favorite tech: the alien terraforming machine , favorite Arnold line : "consider this a divorce"
4:04 That's a great imitation of Arnold's scream 🤣
See "The Running Man" next in your Arnold cavalcade.
Total Recall and Commando were watched every weekend when I was little.
My mother hates Arnie because I watched them so much 😂🤣
I just had a TOTAL RECALL when our kids ( now married) used to come to our bedroom while my wife and I were watching a thriller movie or something 😅
That part when the kids barged in was better than the entire rest of the video.
That's a surprisingly good imitation of Arnie's growl yell.
YES! My favorite Arnold movie ever. "Get your ass to Mars." More intelligent than it may seem on the surface. 😉😜
And I'm happy to hear that the Mrs. believes it's all real, there's just too many coincidences for it to be an implant.
Of course it's an implant. They just implanted the memory into you.
And many Arnold movies have some serious philosophical heft. This one kinda outdoes the rest, though.
If you ever have a bad day, just watch 12:17 as often as desired.
16:23
the original line was :
" I'M SURE SHE HATED
EVERY INCH OF IT "
they dubbed over it
Favorite parts are when the Mrs talks her way in an out of knowing to not knowing and back again! That's her Super Power! 😁
That's is, I'm done! 4:02 Mr Movie's 'Arnold' screaming is the last thing I've needed from this channel!
10:30 LOL!! Someone's sleeping on the couch!
37:34 Not only is the core of Mars not ice, im fairly certain thats not how melting ice works lmao
And now you must complete the journey into Paul Verhoeven's sci-fi greatness with 'Starship Troopers'. Like Robocop and Total Recall it has some serious points, some serious laughs, crazy levels of violence, and Michael Ironside's best supporting role ever. Crazy how great a lot of those effects look even 25 years later.
Starship Troopers was so bad that the widow of the guy who wrote the book, Ginnie Heinlein, walked out of the premier in disgust.
A combination of practical effects and some CGI. Is what makes these movies hold up. Everything is too green screen now.
7:00 Mrs Movies and definitely Mr Movies, should watch the music video for Benny Benassi's song Satisfaction. Then you won't have to imagine what a woman looks like using a jackhammer. In fact, women use lots of power tools in that music video. That video was a favorite of mine, way back when it first came out, years and years ago.
4:04 *That's me in the bathroom after Taco Tuesday*
Mr. Movies’ Arnold impression is perfect.
Basic Instinct is Sharon Stone's most famous movie. You have got to watch it.
Arnold, has a supporting roll, in a old comedy western, called "The Villain". Would be good to react to. He carries a "Seven-Shoota". 😁
Is that the movie in which he plays "Handsome Stranger"?
The fun here is the paradox loop of what's REALLY happening. Any evidence that points to implant can be negated with something that it's real. They made it with that intention and they nailed it.
My favorite, least mentioned evidence for reality - she's in the dream at beginning, he already knows her. And Harry, his construction pal. He gives a look that only the audience sees after recall was 1st brought up.
4:02 He nailed that Arnold LMAO!!
Love ❤️ that you showed her reaction to the joke about Sharon Stone hating being porked by Arnold...lol...most reactors skip that and it's the funniest line in the 🎬! Also the 3 boobed girl usually gets skipped as well, guess due to the image...loved the response 🤣! Finally, seeing the kids come in the room was extremely hilarious 😂...love being reminded that you have little ones!!! One more thing: totally love ❤️ that you questioned the fact the guards don't shoot each other in the crossfire with the hologram fight in the reactor...that always bothered me about this movie.
Wait. You don't recall whether you said the title of the movie? And you can't recall Colin Farrell was in the remake? I'm sensing a theme...
My favourite Arnie line in it - despite "See you at the pahhty Richter!" being so iconic - is "Git yor ess to mawws".
Love all Paul Verhoeven 90s works. Robocop, Total Recall, Starship Troopers... all scifi classics i've watched multiple times as a teen.
If you want to see a different side to Ronny Cox check out Deliverance. He pretty much played nice guys prior to being cast in Robocop
Ronny Cox was an underrated actor. Besides Total Recall he was in RoboCop and the Beverly Hills Cops films. It was nice to see him as the love interest in the TV movie comedy Harper Valley PTA (1978) with Barbara Eden.
Mrs Movies bustin' out the Mom jokes at the beginning had me laughing.
You both nailed the Arnie impressions (Was very impressed.)
For me, it all happened, I know of the theories and everyone is entitled to their view but it's not how I see it. ("We haven't put the implant in yet").
All that tech and they still use Jackhammers??
Really had fun with your reaction here, glad you liked the movie and took it as just a fun film.
Thanks for sharing your time with us. :)
i definitively love these "technicals difficulties", lol
I watched this recently for the first time and it was so fun! 😂😂 I loved the airport scene.
An epic film in every way and I'm loving these reactions!
You two are the best, too funny. 😂
47:24 this was me and my brother when we were kids watching Arnold movies.
The voice of Johnny Cab is Robert Picardo, better known for being the holographic doctor on Star Trek Voyager.
Love when the new generation watches an 80s sci Fi movie and unironically does not notice the futuristic kitchen tech because it literally looks just like today's kitchen tech.
Quaid uses a Braun mixer that was a modern kitchen convenience at that time. It was one of those things like a Salad Shooter and a Black-and-Decker cordless screwdriver that a lot of people gave as presents.
Love this movie! I think nothing goes wrong at all, he gets the exact holiday he paid for, and gets the girl and saves the planet. Movie ends when the holiday ends.
Rather than getting the exact package he paid for, it seems more likely that Dr. Edgemar was telling the truth when he told Quaid that he was experiencing a "free-form delusion" based on Rekall's memory tapes. After all, it doesn't make much sense for Rekall to design a package where he kills his best friend and wife. That'd contradict what he sees in the real world when his 'vacation' ends, and the Rekall salesman guaranteed that he wouldn't be able to tell the difference between the implanted memories and his real ones.
Always been a fun Arnold classic!
Nice Amazon Kids Plus product placement (8:08) in the vid by the Mrs. Get that $ !!
Oh my goodness - BOTH daughters are ADORABLE!
