I thought it was gonna end up being the bar guys Dad that was sadist did not expect the cop and mom
I suspected the Dad when he was staring off all aloof in the news tape, and the Mom when she was so comfortable with staying there all of those years. This was a great episode.
Is it just me, but did the mom at the hospital seemed to be condescending to the doctor? Since it turned out that her husband ended up dying from catching something at the hospital and she made it seem like she didn't like the doctor.
God, I've been through everything, I can't find a hint. What kind of composition in the second episode of season 6 starts playing at 45:40 until 47:30?? A very strong melody.
I thought Stuart's father is going to murder Davis at the hospital. But he warns Davis to stop this film because of "the things that he knows". He sounded like a sad old grumpy man. But in reality, he was the most relatable. He didn't want to destroy Davis's life. But in the end, his protest didn't work out. It was his gf and his friend that persuaded him to make this. Moral of the Story: Its not the plot twist. It's about how true crime destroys people's lives just like Davis. Now Davis will never become a filmmaker or get a good job. He will always have to live his life in a sad way doing ordinary stuff and making quick bucks on interviews. He will never be remembered for talent except his parents were serial killers.
I'm a bit mixed on this episode, on the one hand Pia was an annoying character and i get the lesson by the end is supposed to be how hollow and empty the world of true crime is. But Pia's death only happens because of something as stupid as slipping on a rock, and sure that plays into what Stuart was saying about tourists dying by accident all the time. But it just felt like the story needed Pia to die just to have Davis feel even more alone by the end, it felt unnecessary.
@@Rash23215 Or... The more rational thought. They could both be annoying in their own way, but seeing as how Pia is a much more important character to Davis, and the story, and was the one who died, she is the one i am choosing to talk about.
@@31051982able No, its because she coerces her partner into doing something that he expressly stated that he was not comfortable with and that was personal to him.
I have only seen the first two episodes of this season, but it all makes me think of "Fifteen Million Merits" from season 1. The criticism of Netflix has now itself been commodified, this season criticises Netflix on Netflix as a mean of letting off some steam and minimise any real impact. Just like how the guy on "Fifteen Million Merits" gets fed up and fights the systems, just for the system to commodify his criticism of the system into a tv show to turn it into entertainment and disarm it from having any impact.
Was getting real pamela vorhees from the mom throughout the episode so when the twist came I expected it but even then it still made me disturbed and terrified, they made the whole story so creepy, superb episode !!!!
SPOILER ALERT: I gotta say the goddamn music is amazing in every episode....especially when she has one last look in the mirror before putting the mask on... Amazing cinematography.....i was like when she got the fuggin tapes i was like.....HOW MANY DID YOU TWO KILL!....i spoiled for my wife like 10 mins in hahah...what better way to take satisfaction in returning to the crime scene when your a cop doing it. The true irony is.....apart from his GF dying without telling anyone.....would the son of told anyone even if she never layed those tapes out...and does the same accursed desire run thru the sons veins? The sons the only one who isnt in some dissociated reality like everyone else and understands the gravity of the implactions unfolding before his eyes.
SPOILERS: * * * * * * * * * I could actually see this episode benefit from being longer, with more time to get creeped out in the torture house, a longer build-up to the reveal of what’s on the tapes, more of the content of the tapes, more time looking through the creepy boxes of stuff, more of a misdirect re the pub owner’s intentions toward Davis are in the hospital, a more suspenseful mother/girlfriend cat-and-mouse/chase, and more of the finished documentary.

@@M0nst3r0711somewhere waiting for meeeeeeee
Look, it's Podrick! 👆🏾
BAFTA being a mask too makes it more heartbreaking
I think this maybe was the best of the new episodes. FYI, the friend from the bar is Podrick from GoT.
I enjoyed this episode. Could have watched a whole mini series about it. The end was fucked up
I just was looking up the actors and the woman playing the mom is famous for playing the real life serial killer this character is based off...
The friend from the bar is Podrick from Game of Thrones
This and Episode 6 are the best ones!
Dad probably got MRSA from being around blood/bodily fluid in the dungeon!! 😮
I am Scottish, your accents made my day, thank you for that! Hilarious 😂😂😂❤️❤️❤️.
The bartender is podrick from game of thrones!!
Not even a decade of therapy could help Davis 😂
Right?!! That was traumatic as hell!!!
This season seems to have the "Consumer" theme
I thought yall would have caught on quicker than yall did.
damn john excellent point👏🏽
The first two episodes of this season, are feeling very Inside No 9.
I was wondering what spray is that. Then it hit me: it's Tiger Balm.
Podrick from GoT❤ Greetings from Germany
Right?! So good to see Podrick!!
I'm curious if they're linking all the episodes together as a multiverse like they mentioned in the first episode. Just watched the 2nd episode myself
yes- one of the documentaries on streamberry was about San Junipero a few seasons ago...
How was Pia an annoying character? (I mean besides the lack of eyebrows lol)
You thought pia was the annoying character when the friend's character was right there???? Oh, I think I know why.....
@@Rash23215 Podrick Payne can never be annoying!
SPOILER ALERT:
I gotta say the goddamn music is amazing in every episode....especially when she has one last look in the mirror before putting the mask on...
The sons the only one who isnt in some dissociated reality like everyone else and understands the gravity of the implactions unfolding before his eyes.
finished watching this season last night, its good but its not their best
This one was great
It’s unsettling how the mother’s mask harks to the actual *BAFTA Award* her son wins.
This story kinda reminds me of Prisoners and that big reveal

I could actually see this episode benefit from being longer, with more time to get creeped out in the torture house, a longer build-up to the reveal of what’s on the tapes, more of the content of the tapes, more time looking through the creepy boxes of stuff, more of a misdirect re the pub owner’s intentions toward Davis are in the hospital, a more suspenseful mother/girlfriend cat-and-mouse/chase, and more of the finished documentary.
Pia's death was the dumbest thing I've ever seen
Was SUPER rushed.... happened in and out so it was very hollow in execution
They explain her death in the very beginning…the rivers are deep and people go missing
GO MORE!! NEXT PLEASE?!
Wait until you watch Episode 4. What a twist!!
How did you not recognize Pod from game of thrones?!?
I dunno if I’m biased, but angry Scottish people shouting at you is scarier than in an American accent
