The flagship build. I have seen so many questions asked about your gladiator in the comments and reddits over the years. I bet this will answer those! Its a great build. I appreciate the time and dedication you put into your channel. I see you take time to answer most people and I know thats alot. Lots of us also enjoy seeing you introduce your son and a new generation to the hobby. There are so many great rigs and parts coming out daily, we are lucky to be in the hobby at this time but man my wallet hates me. Thanks Adam!
Great build update - love what you've done to this truck. Our blue gladiator is my favorite. It's the first truck I modified and I love where it's at right now to the point where I don't want to change it anymore I just run and enjoy it! We have a few other SCX24's but none of them are at the "sweet spot" right now like the gladiator...
This is what got my attention and following you!!! So pumped to have a gladi of my own now and all because of this one 🎉🙌 never have I had a driveshaft fall out so much 😂
great video once again, i never learned the story of this truck as i started following you once you pretty much moved on. i took you up on your financial mishaps and got another scx6, but the Honcho since horizon had it on sale again, my lhs was honoring those deals so i picked up a DBXLE 2.0, a Promoto and another Gorgon for the nephew hahaha, yeah i have a problem...
That mini komodo and mini steller are the beez kneez! I have zero power issue, super slow crawl... i have enough torque to break any drivetrain part or flip or move big rocks with the tires. I have it paired with a lizard pro and i love how i can fine tune on a phone app.
That is really cool. I am just getting into the crawling hobby and have a TRX4m bronco. I would love to see a build Video with maybe a $50 max spending limit?? Or maybe a course build video! Keep up the great videos!
It started when I bought a yellow scx24 JLU, I loved it, but somehow it broke down. Luckily I got the full price back because of the guarantee. Then I got a C10 for Christmas, it started pretty much stock at first. When I really got into upgrading it, I freaked out and wanted more and more parts😂. Well, now I have an Injora rock buggy, only with a few stock parts. I have “only” one crawler, but I love it. And sometimes I’m getting sentimental about my old yellow scx24 JLU…
You should keep it the way it is and get another one! Love your videos, how is the new gig going for you? Happy to see my favorite rc content maker is still putting out quality videos!
Im new to the hobby, but I've noticed everyone mentions adding weight as low as possible on crawlers when upgrading. I wonder if you could add lead shot in the tires with no foam? At high speed, it would be terribly off balance, but when slow crawling, the shot should stay in the bottom of the tire and add weight as low as could be.
I have heard of folks doing that, or wrapping metal wire around the ring inside the wheel. You can get away with those on these little trucks because the wheels don't spin that fast. I've thought about doing a video on unorthodox tire inserts just like those!
Are you using the "factory style" injora steering links for the front axle? Just got my gladiator yesterday, and already looking at what I can buy for it.
I'm also a big jeep fan. I've always been curious as to what came first the mods to your Gladiator or the Axiel? (Wheels and highland roof rack) Or did you do it the same time?
I am stil working on my first one. Started out as a AX24, and from there it kind of took off. I watched your first video on the Angry Sparrow, and got me one of those, and started mounting. I guess i shound have seen you second Sparrow video first, so i had to take i apart again as i also mounted it backwards...I am considering a lawsuit :P
How do you keep the drive shafts from falling out? With that much flex I’ve had issues with my drive shafts coming apart and losing my drive ability. The bronco I am building has this issue and I’ve copied your exact shock placements. Any recommendations ?
Hey Adam- great video. Can you confirm that the Tegu supports 8.4V as stated in the video? Furitek's site only lists support for 5 and 6.5V on the BEC and thus I struck it from the list of ESC's for my next build. Also wondering if you get telemetry on the Avatar from the Tegu? Thanks in advance man, and Merry Christmas!
with my scx24 i have the problem that when im articulating my servo mount is hung up against rthe chassis rails. is that because im using the stock frame rails or do you face the same problem/have any solution to it? edit: also my steering links are binging with the chassisc tho that could easily be fixed
@@CapeCrawlersi think ill just design and 3d oprint some for myself, as its the easiest option for me rn. also have you ever tried these brass wheigts that go into the tire? necause i dont reeally think theyll help alot and i think overdrive would be better to go. also thanks for all the support. you helped me build my rig into a really capable one and you were the first channel i ever watched starting like 4 vids in your youtube career. big THANKS
Great stuff man, wish I could get that much flex out of my 24, I have the longest shocks I could get, don't know if you use flex blades or not, but I wanna see mine flex like that. Lol Also might look into the Injora chassis for it, too. 🤔 On a side note; you gonna look at the Injora universal chassis that works with the lay down servo mounts, for the TRX4M K10? Kinda looking into that. Lol

Thank you! It’s wild how many questions I get about this thing. I’m very grateful for the hobby and the community and their acceptance of Axel and I!
@@CapeCrawlersyou got me into micro crawlers found your Trx4m videos back in August and instantly fell in love with the hobby
It's always great to see the little guy, it's been a while since you had a tiny jeep on a giant jeep box , too funny 😂
Wow, this is an amazing flex crawler! Nice 👌 and good work! 👍
Hi Adam. I never get tired of seeing your Gladiator. Can you do a video on battery options sometime?
Wow!! great set up!

You got me into building my one mini , same of everything but in a dead bolt body
The near 90 deg. "flex pose" looks like a dog taking a leak!
LOL, I crack me up!!
I felt the same 😆
I love that build!

great video so much you have done. I am looking at getting this Gladiator. my first crawler

I think I’m going to do just that. The job is going well. I feel like I’ve found a good balance where I can maintain and enjoy work and the hobby 👍🏻
Once you get one mini crawler next thing you know you'll have a hundred
True 🤣😂

jeep! yes... what jeep animal is on your gladiator and where did you find it? great story.

If I wanted to make a similar build to this, what order would you recommend making the upgrades?
I am stil working on my first one. Started out as a AX24, and from there it kind of took off. I watched your first video on the Angry Sparrow, and got me one of those, and started mounting. I guess i shound have seen you second Sparrow video first, so i had to take i apart again as i also mounted it backwards...I am considering a lawsuit :P
We’re did you get the limiting straps?
How do you put in the information for the tire inserts or what do you put in for width and rim size
I use the FlubRC tire inserts. For width I run the Mofo RC UPW wheels and a +6mm hub.
How do you keep the drive shafts from falling out? With that much flex I’ve had issues with my drive shafts coming apart and losing my drive ability. The bronco I am building has this issue and I’ve copied your exact shock placements. Any recommendations ?
Limiting straps. I run the LGRP limiting strap up front and it’s a lifesaver
Awesome :)
I have my deadbolt limited out on articulation due to my links. Will the high clearance links give me more?
If you do a four link front it can help get you more. Also running one o-ring on the links frees up some extra range
@CapeCrawlers thanks, your the man!!
Is the purple ROP from moforc not with it anymore?
It is if you like more wheel speed. Its too quick for most of my applications
Is there a reason you ran your shocks upside down? Do they leak at all?
They’re not oil filled so no leakage. I have found that they operate more smoothly upside down. Less binding
Why run springs at all?
Nice💪😉
Any chance you updated this build for 2024?
I haven’t done anything new since this video

In furicar app you can select 8.4v on the tegu24. And yes I get telemetry on the avatar with this setup. Happy holidays!
Thanks man :) @@CapeCrawlers
What kind of servo horn do you use I need a 25t micro one for mine but can’t find it
The agfrc came with its own aluminum horn
@@CapeCrawlers I have the ndsrc I think it is and it didn’t come with one can’t find one that will fit
What battery are you using for this set up?
I use the urgenix 450mah primarily. For 3s I’ll use the Spektrum 300mah
with my scx24 i have the problem that when im articulating my servo mount is hung up against rthe chassis rails. is that because im using the stock frame rails or do you face the same problem/have any solution to it?
edit: also my steering links are binging with the chassisc tho that could easily be fixed
On the stock rails I had to grind down the servo ears for clearance. Even ground down the frame rails slightly for more clearance

More than the size of the shocks is more about the placement of them
@@nunocarneiro464 true that.
In my past experience, too much articulation can cause more issues then its worth.
