Picked one of these up the other week, and I found it hilarious the first thing you did is upgraded the power train. That was the first thing that was giving me issues was the stock motor/trans esc. Definitely going brushless after watching this! Thanks Adam
Nice build Adam! I've also got the orange Power Wagon and I put a set of Little Guy Racing black Cyclone wheels (front brass wheel rings) on with their Swamp King M/T tires and it looks dope! Also added PL big bore oil filled shocks and a Spektrum brushless system with new Reefs higher torque steering servo, metal Injora links all around and the thing is a beast! Enjoy your beefier rig!
Glad to see you give the power wagon some love! I just got mine out and did the same this week. It is hard to get performance out of them, thats probably why they released the trailer at the same time. It makes a better tow rig than performer, but man the hardbody looks soooo good. Great content as always Adam thank you!
Totally agree I started modying mine as it performs terrible and isn’t a crawler in any aspect with the heavy body and accessories. I plonked a furitek brushless in it. The only thing o enjoy is the slow crawl. That said the trailer theory makes sense. I got a few parts to mod it but won’t go all out like the dudes on YT who mostly get free parts.
I like the longer wheel based Scx24 trucks because they have a lot more potential to climb than any other truck and if you widen the stance of a gladiator, it is double trouble because it becomes more stable. The deadbolts are okay with the short front and long rear but gladiator wheel base is my favorite. I like doing gladiator rear in the rear and with c10 rear in the front. If you make your own links and bend them it is game over for competition. I have 1 build that I did custom bent links and I have a hard time finding lines that it won’t climb.
Eco power is one servo that I never tried but I didn’t hear good things and you proved it. The rest of this is great for a “looker”! Super 8 axles are nice.
Awesome channel Adam! I'm about to start doing the build on my Power Wagon. I have a nice little pile of Injora bags and boxes sitting on my table 🙂. Keep up all the great work. I hope to get to your level one day!
The Orange Powerwagon is my only shelf-queen. I LOVE the looks of it and orange is my favorite color. I installed the Injora purple motor and 33% overdrive in both the front and rear to make it just a bit faster. But that’s all I plan on doing to it.
I run mine with furitek micro komodo on lizard pro. Rx/tx is dumbo rc, wheels and tires are mofo 1ups and djcrawler m/t. Suspension is 39mm injora oil filled. Flipped battery tray upside-down to lower weight and relocated battery up front and did lots of brass on front axle skidplate and wheels
Great video Adam, thanks for sharing the build and upgrades on the power wagon. I like the LGRP super 8 Axles you put on, if you run into binding issues at a slow crawl, you have to remove the o-ring on the worm gear shaft. I put the o-ring out in front of the diff. Cover on the worm shaft and mount the driveshaft in between. Binding glitch should go away. This happened to me on one of my super 8 axles the rear was jerking at a slow crawl. I found out on Facebook group
@@CapeCrawlers Yes give it a shot. I took these axles apart a couple times. Scratching my head trying to figure out. The funny part is the front axles don't bind with the o-rings on. It was the rear you can spotted right away when you bench test in the air without taking it apart, So removing the o-ring on the rear axle worm gear made a huge difference to crawl slower and smoother.
I experienced the hitching on throttle input with a furitek lizard ultimate esc. Swapped to a lizard pro I had on hand and it cured my issue. I guess the esc just had a bad spot on the power curve.
less length shocks. a little more brass weight at the axles or even the links. my fms power wagon is like lord dark helmet had his painted yellow so its more of a looker than performer but looks so good that I enjoy driving it thru easy lines and taking it when I travel to play with instead of looking at my phone
I haven’t done nothing to mine. It’s all stock. I got the orange one. Also only thing I have done is put a snow blade on the front but was not enough power last winter. Well, not enough traction even to push 1 inch of snow, but it was a little wet too.
From what i gather, Eco Power took ideas from the Torq MLS. Go with the Torq MLS, it has plenty of power, is direct mount, and has the wire out the back.
I really like the way it looks I agree it’s one of the best looking scx24 axial has put out I wish that it performed a little better though 🤘✌️have fun putting up Halloween 🎃 decorations
Love seeing the PW getting love. I'm running 43mm telescopic They seem to be the sweet spot. I'm wondering if you'd have better results with 43mm Also if you put the torqu servo in could you please report back of the performance gain or ? I tend to buy the off beat rigs so finding anyone reputable to work with em is hit and miss. Catching the pw today was awesome Keep doing what you do ✌️ 👽
In your opinion, how wrong can I go with the starter furitek BL combo for a deadbolt? It has alloy beadlocks, large bore oil shocks and high clear links.
Hey guys i just bought today the Power Wagon and i have a ax24 with aluminum axles and furitek system the axles are the same on both?so i can make the power wagon 4ws and put the brushless combo i have on the AX24
It took awhile, but I came around to mine quite a bit over the past few months. I've made very minor upgrades so far, but have more in store. I was about to right it off and leave it on the shelf, but for some reason I decided to go back to it and it has surprised me more and more. And the looks are undeniable! (Btw, the Torq servo is a great option over the Eco Power. Is that the plastic version, or the one with the metal case?)

I got the green power wagon for my first crawler in March. Went crazy modding and it's a beast now. Love seeing everyone's version of the power wagon.

I like the injora orange ring beadlocks. Running them on my green wagon. Orange and green look really sharp together.

14:42 Oil filled shocks will probably help slowing the suspension action.

One of my favorite trucks. It looks so good! And it can handle quite a lot. Very capable out of the box.
Im normally a retro guy but Orange and black definitely. I need these only with the green ring
Love him they look good with the orange
I really like the forest background, great video Adam👍

17:25 it says its problem in the name ”eco power”😂
I really like that motor and trans combo
Such a cool rig i love the beadlocks you added to that thing!
Great wheels. Super inexpensive too!

What a good improvement! That stock esc really brings the worst out of the torque beast

Great advice! I noticed some binding in reverse, I wonder if that’s the cause

Que buenas mejoras, buscaré los amortiguadores para mejorar mi setup, felicitaciones y gracias por tus videos, saludos desde Chile
Nice build man!!!
I think it would benefit from a flatbed conversion and limiting straps on the front.
Good to have a truck thats a challenge they don't all have to be comp rigs
My son just got his powerwagon. Now i have to split my parts budget between his and my FCX4M
I’m thinking about getting one & chopping the bed off so it’s just a double cab then get a LCG chassis.
I like this build a lot
I had to put a lot, and I mean A LOT, of weight down low to keep my son's power wagon planted and overcome that hard body. Love how it looks, though.
Looks great Adam you should try out the RampCrab LCG chassis I put one one mine and it preforms really well
Go with mofo, servo beast never worry about it again👍👍
Would love to see the scx power wagon vs the fmx blazer
I still love my losi microcrawler because it's quite a bit smaller then the scx24.
I really like the way it looks I agree it’s one of the best looking scx24 axial has put out I wish that it performed a little better though 🤘✌️have fun putting up Halloween 🎃 decorations
Try that Furitek Torx servo for scx24. It should be quicker & stronger.
yo i love your vids, i want to go out but my trx4m is torn apart and i dont have time
Love seeing the PW getting love.
I'm running 43mm telescopic
They seem to be the sweet spot.

Keep doing what you do ✌️ 👽
Ive loved this model but I think if I used it as a base I would end up making some post apocalyptic style version and it would be a hauler too.
It would be a perfect platform for that concept!
I like stock tyres.
I have one of those EcoPower servos... you want it? Lol, it's only as strong as the stock servo. I ditched it on my build and got the Torq.
Awesome build!!! I have an MB100 esc for my rig too… what 3s battery do you recommend for that? Thanks for sharing!!
In your opinion, how wrong can I go with the starter furitek BL combo for a deadbolt? It has alloy beadlocks, large bore oil shocks and high clear links.
That starter kit is great.
@@CapeCrawlers Thanks buddy!
Orange and black all the way. Not even close IMHO.
I wonder if a front overdrive gear would help the understand.
*understeer
Possibly. I’ll try it
If you were to do an scx24 from scratch, which chassis would you recommend?
Mazz designs cheat code v3
Should put the Injora Viper on it. Lol
Mines getting the furitek mini 24 combo
Did you overdrive it? That pretty well all you need. Probably 50 percent with how much un sprung weight.
Yes it’s overdriven up front
Hey guys i just bought today the Power Wagon and i have a ax24 with aluminum axles and furitek system the axles are the same on both?so i can make the power wagon 4ws and put the brushless combo i have on the AX24
You can swap them. Only thing that isn’t really interchangeable is the skid plate
It took awhile, but I came around to mine quite a bit over the past few months. I've made very minor upgrades so far, but have more in store. I used the plastic case version, the cheap one. I would like to try the higher end eco power direct mount for comparison purposes
@@CapeCrawlers it’s way better, and the Torq one is even slightly better than that one.
Personally I'd tear out the interior and rear cage, but that's me
For some reason I am drawn to the cage
Those EcoPower 827’s are poop. I had one in a Typhon Grom and even in that it didn’t want to turn the wheels unless the wheels were spinning.
I’m super disappointed with this one
I had a 1:10 scale servo same brand it was terrible & the Cheap Amazon servos where way better.
