Plumbers tape, to use or not to use, you found it better to use, so do I. Appropriate length hoses should help relieve stress on the connections.40 years on a tractor & I still learn something new most everyday. Love the sound of your Kioti diesel.
Thank you. Yeah I tried with and without the tape. Tape was the only way I could get it to not leak. I may end up getting shorter hoses. I’m not a fan of the big loops.
@@MakeitHappen1 if you have to change the hoses go to a quarter inch size hose I did the exact thing you did a couple of weeks ago I had half inch hoses and they were just too stiff I was worried that they were going to put too much stress on the quick disconnect so I just bought ready-made hoses on Amazon that were quarter inch and use quarter inch to half inch reducing hydraulic bushings also from Amazon. the quarter inch hydraulic hoses flex and move easily. my hoses are 24 inches long probably could get away with the front hose being 18 in Long
It's never quite as easy as it's supposed to be! Nice to see you work through all the problems that you had. Enjoyed your video even though it was a little difficult to hear at times.
looked at the Kabota L2501 and the price was insane..I got the actual quote today..I thought the 23,400 was OTD..Nope it was 27,265..Thats HST, quick attach bucket, r4 tires filled with Tax and fees and insurance payments around 454 a month..A bit much I think for around the house. Think I'm gonna look at this Kioti model and Mahindra and do a price compare I was expecting the Kabota to be closer.
That’s why I went with Kioti. I felt I was getting more for my money. That along with the whole rocker pedal that Kubota uses. I didn’t think I would like that. I’ve been very happy with my CK2610 so far
I just boight a brand new 2023 kioti ck2620 and completely blew a hose 4 hours in. Talk about junk, I couldnt believe it. I could replace it pretty easily but i feel like the dealership should cover it for free 😔
Tapered thread is Pipe thread always use Teflon or pipe sealer ( dope ) . The guy who said no tape was referring to the part of that fitting Thad had the O ring .
I’m just an amateur but I have built a bunch of stuff and I have never been able to get pipe threads to seal without thread tape. I read somewhere that it lubricates the threads so you can get them tighter? 100% of the time I use thread tape on pipe threads. JIC or O-ring boss really is a far better way to connect anything. You can put it together and take it apart 100 times and it seals off the same. But sometimes you’re forced to use pipe threads. I’ve watched hundreds of videos on this topic. Two types of people comment. Either a guy that works with hydraulics for a living and is way smarter than me or some guy sitting on his couch in his underwear who has never actually done it….
Ha that’s true about the 2 types of people. I really wasn’t sure. Plumbing components aren’t my thing. I tried it both ways but it has been working fine without the thread tape. I keep a close eye on the connections just in case. If they ever fail I will likely go back to thread tape.
turn the hose 90 degrees on the cylinder that is closest to the tractor that will allow the hose to be in a more relaxed position you could also try that on the back hose that is farthest from the tractor that's how I did it on my tractor right now your hoses are being looped 180° simply turn the elbows 90° and then your hoses will only have to bend 90°
May not be kinked but way to tight of a radius for me personally, to each their own but I would try turning the 90° elbow as another person stated or going with a little shorter hose.
I cringed every time you tightened a fitting...use a properly sized wrench and BACK IT UP with another. Also, loose-fit hoses and fittings to determine any stress points and clearance issues BEFORE tightening anything. And NO TEFLON TAPE.

Yeah seems to me like they should cover that with 4 hours in.

With this cylinder, the connectors can either be up or down. Can’t turn them 90
@@MakeitHappen1 not the cylinder the elbows that you have screwed onto the cylinder, just turn your 90°?
Ahhh gotcha! I’ll try that
@@MakeitHappen1 that's why they have those o-rings on the fittings so you can adjust them at the angle that you want and then lock them down

The hoses should not be kinked like that they should have more radius to te bends they will last longer

Kubota uses teflon tape on all their tractors and backhoes...
Mine leaked with it on. It’s doing better without it. No leaks yet.

The tape came off in the next video after some readjustment
