- I switched out the factory top link for a new and improved hydraulic top link purchased from Agri Supply.

Nicely done. One suggestion would be to be very careful of your hoses pushing into your fuel tank. I did the same upgrade to my CK3510 this past summer and ended up putting 90 deg elbows on the cylinder to route the hoses parallel to the cylinder so they would not jamb up into the gas tank. I also removed the top link holder bracket because it was in the way for my setup. I love the hydraulic top link and don't know how I loved without it. Keep up the great work.
Thank you, I appreciate that! I like that idea of using the 90s. I’m also going to put a hose sleeve around the hoses to help prevent rubbing. Do you remove the top link when you’re not using it since you removed the holder bracket?
@@MakeitHappen1 I do remove it because I have a backhoe that I normally keep on it. I use the hydraulic top link when I attach the box blade, land plane or rear blade. I sleeved my hoses too. Keep up the great work.
Maybe I’ll understand this video better when my tractor gets delivered but I was really unimpressed with the time you spent on the grinding, taping, etc…but didn’t spend much time on attaching it to the tractor especially the hoses. Also, which controls did you use to adjust? (Just my 2 cents)
Spot on. I was thinking the same thing.
Yellow or pink teflon, rated for fuels and oil fight have been a better choice, than the white, which is rated general plumbing.
Ahh. So far it’s holding up. If needed, I will change it out to the appropriate tape. Thanks
Turn your hydraulic top link over 180 degrees so the hoses point down instead of up...giving you more clearance on your fuel tank. I have the same tractor and added a hydraulic top link to mine as well.
Yep, that’s exactly what I did. Works great now
Actually that’s what I had to do in the very next video I put out. Ha
You don’t use Teflon tape on the boss 0-ring fittings nor on the flared fittings - only on NPT fittings. So you didn’t need any.
Yeah I wasn’t sure. I’ll keep a check to see if the tape causes a leak. Thank you
Not only that but you really don’t want that stuff coming apart and getting into your tractors hydraulic system.
True. In a later video I had to make some adjustments to the top link so I removed the Teflon tape from the connections.
I just installed a hydraulic top link but I used quarter inch hoses they're more flexible than the half inch hoses
Interesting. High enough PSI with 1/4”? I never checked into anything smaller than the 1/2”.
Being new to the tractor world. I also wish you would have shown how to install onto the tractor. But I'm sure there's enough videos on youtube to figure it out. What I did see was helpful. Thx.
Sorry, still learning the video-making dos and donts. Yeah there are a few others that show the install. It wasn’t very difficult however. Thank you for watching
Well done!
Thank you!
Did you already have the remote rear ports already installed ? If not what kit did you use
Yes they were installed by dealer when I purchased the tractor
Do you have any trouble with bleed down being it does not have a check valve?
No bleed down hasn’t been an issue for me
How does your top link work on the box blade got a video of it with it on like to see how it tilts forward and back
It works with the box blade pretty well. Hopefully I have a video using the top link with the box blade soon.
@@MakeitHappen1 I hope soon
Thank you. The end of this video does show how it tilts forward and back as I was testing out the top link. I’ll put it to use soon!
3/8” hydraulic hoses would have been perfect. Way more flexible than that 1/2” stuff. But nonetheless that hydraulic top link is the way to go!
Yeah the 1/2” is pretty stiff but it works. Loving the hydraulic top link though. Thanks
That was a cool video. Do you think the 15" hose is good or what you did is better
Thank you. I just measured mine. The connectors on this Grizzly cylinder are on either ends of the cylinder. A 12” or 15” would work on the connector that’s closest to the tractor but it would at least take an 18” for the connector farthest from the tractor’s remotes.
I wish you had more video of the actual installation and not the bench work also the consider lighting effects on the camera so you don’t wash out the picture.
Yeah, probably should have. It’s a learning process. Thank you
